Q is for Quaint

Welcome to Alphabe Thursday and Mrs.Matlocks post featuring the letter "Q" this week. I have decided to be light hearted today and use Q for quaint.

The definition of "quaint" is having an old-fashioned  attractiveness or charm; oddly picturesque

1. a quaint old house

2. strange, peculiar,or unusual in an interesting way, pleasing or amusing way. a quaint sense of humor

3. skillfully or cleverly made

4. Obsolete,wise;skilled.

Here are a few images of quaint.

I hope you have enjoyed these quaint images!  I re posted this "Q" pot from one of my first times posting with Jenny. Please visit all the wonderful Q posts new and old alike!

I love thatched roof houses like the ones I've seen during several trips to England. I have collected several over the years.

I love this post! Quaint is such a great word. The second house is just dreamy, what a lovely place to come home too. BTW, I scrolled down and read the "boy" post - I'm laughing so hard I scared the cat :) Kathy

I do love quaint. I saw once on HGTV, that when someone mentions quaint regarding a house that means small. I don't necessarily think that's always true. I loved all your pictures.

Very well done Q post! Loved the pictures. If someday I ever get to a place where I can hire a decorator (HA!) I may have to tell her that I want my rooms to look quaint! :)

I do love that little green cottage with the stone fireplace. I would be very happy living in ''Quaintville". :-)

I love your choice of word.
My favorite story about the word 'quaint' comes from long ago when we lived in the US. Our landlady had some friends over to meet us, and one of the guests said 'I've always liked Canadians. They're so quaint.' We howled with laughter when we got home, and it's been a family joke ever since.
