Bojon Weddings Part Two

Auntie Ang Jacklovich on her wedding day to Uncle Louis Steblay. This is her sister Mrs. Anna Predolich. This was November 1946.
Stefania Kocman- Samples  and Arthur Samples. Weren't they just the most sweet couple? I think they were attendants for another wedding here. I loved Auntie's dress. So simple and yet so elegant. I love her short veil and Uncle looked so dapper in his double breasted suit. My aunt and uncle was amazing people. They worked so hard and ran a grocery store. They raised up their children, David, Kay, Barbara, Karen and Diane. My father adored his sisters, all five of them! He loved seeing his sisters on Sunday when we all congregated at Grandpa and Grandma Kocman's home. Phamily times were the very best times. Cousin Kay gave me their wedding date of  June 28, 1941. Here is their wedding photo:

Beautiful wedding photo with Auntie Anna Skender as Aunt Steffie's attendant. Simply lovely.Thank you Kay.
Uncle Louis Steblay and his bride Angela Jacklovich. Father Daniel Gnidica and my grandmother Cecilia Steblay. November 1946, looks like it was a beautiful day for a beautiful wedding of wonderful people.

Goodness, all the wedding photos are just wonderful. I'm getting caught up again with your Bojon posts. All this info is going to make a fantabulous book!!! Those memories from the bowling alley brought back lots of memories from my teenage years. We use to go bowling a lot. Unfortunately, I never was a very good bowler.

I used to spend a lot of time at the roller skating rink. I just loved roller skating. We wore skating skirts back then, and each week during my quiet time at work, I would make myself a new skating skirt. I worked evenings at the local movie theatre.

The rest of the time I could be found playing sports. Baseball, softball, football, basketball, soccer, street hockey, you name it. Us kids loved sports. Of course, back in those days, we did not have cell phones, video games, computers and social media. We made friends and played sports. We had school dances (record hops)and the life was easier and better back then.

The photos of you and your hubby and children are great. I wish I still had all of my old photos. Oh well, at least I have lots of new ones.

Well, it's almost time to make supper for my little guy here. Pogo is sitting patiently by me, giving me a little nudge every now and then. I think he's hungry. haha. You have a super evening. Hugs, Edna B.
