A Pretty Pink SUV for Pink Saturday

I dropped off a few encouragement cards at the post office this early A.M. and parked near this bright pink Hummer.
I figured Beverly and the Pinkies would like to see this pretty SUV. I know you won't miss it if you are driving on the highways and byways. Enjoy a beautiful Pink Saturday.
Some patriotic roses to start off the weekend.
A Dollar Tree patriotic American flag centerpiece.

Uncle Sam's hat from the Dollar Tree.
Red/white/blue floral arrangement with pinwheels.
America the Beautiful
Words by Katharine Lee Bates
Melody by Samuel Ward

O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!

O beautiful for pilgrim feet
Whose stern impassioned stress
A thoroughfare of freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God mend thine every flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law!

O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife.
Who more than self their country loved
And mercy more than life!
America! America!
May God thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness
And every gain divine!

O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!

O beautiful for halcyon skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the enameled plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till souls wax fair as earth and air
And music-hearted sea!

O beautiful for pilgrims feet,
Whose stem impassioned stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till paths be wrought through
wilds of thought
By pilgrim foot and knee!

O beautiful for glory-tale
Of liberating strife
When once and twice,
for man's avail
Men lavished precious life!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till selfish gain no longer stain
The banner of the free!

O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till nobler men keep once again
Thy whiter jubilee!

Katharine Lee Bates wrote this beautiful song while looking out at Pikes Peak. It is a favorite song of mine. As a child my parents home was built across the street from an open space and the view of Pikes Peak was magical. Please enjoy a safe and wonderful 4th of July weekend.  Pray for our country as we seem to be headed down a very dangerous path. God Bless You and God Bless America!

I pray for our country every single day. I don't care for some of the paths our country is taking either. Dangerous in many cases.

Have a fabulous weekend and a very happy and safe 4th honey. Big hugs. ♥♥♥

Gosh, I don't pink is the best color for such a strong looking vehicle. However, to each his own. (or her) Love your patriotic images. It's been a long time since I've seen all the words to this beautiful song, so thanks.

Pogo and I wish you and your family a wonderful holiday weekend. Hugs, Edna B.

Maybe it's a Barbie SUV? It could belong to someone selling Mary Kay? Oh well, to each his own. Have a good weekend.

Hello Anne, I am sorry you have not heard from me. Our internet was finally fixed 2 days ago. It has been on and off all week. I did not get to visit on Blue Monday because it was off and on constantly. So frustrating.

I have never seen a Pink SUV. Crazy huh? Pretty flowers and Happy 4th of July to you and yours.

We are praying for our country and it is in God's hands. Who else can we turn to in our troubled Country.
Hugs, Jeanne

Hi Anne ~~ I like your pink Hummer and the shot of Pikes Peak peaking out through the rock of the Garden of the Gods. Our granddaughter, still six, plays a game where a color belongs to you for finding cars that match. I play pink since there aren't very many and can stay fixed on driving safely that way. I did condescend to take two colors, pink and purple. Still not many.
I almost played the pink game this morning but got busy when the poem blog people had posted a prompt (exactly 55 words on 'war'). Mine started out, "I don't like war", and went from there. But no pink on that post, just two American flags and Adi, my deceased beagle dog, and the front door of our house with one of the flags.

Oops, 'peeking' out. Sorry, teacher (if you are or one reads it).
