Thankful Thursday

Jack Keil and his creation, McGruff in the 1980's.. This cool dog was a crime fighter. We could sure use a canine like McGruff today. Thankful Thursday
Pinterest shared some basic supplies for food when in an emergency situation. We try to have canned goods and dry beans and rice available for this type of situation. I am thankful for that too. My neighbor told me someone in the UK said they had the hoarding problem there too and now people are dumping fresh food items they overstocked on and could not use. A shame that happens.
I forgot to snap some photos. Last night we sat at the dinner table, all five of us, and ate a wonderful meal plus some salad and then took the pups for a short walk. I am glad for extra phamily time and we are making the very best of it.
We've been baking. Thankful for the five of us all together in the house. It rained, it snowed, it was in the 20's. Here are the Chocolate Scones we baked.  Such a fun evening.
The blueberry scones were waiting to go into the oven. Oh yum! They were all delicious. The hubby and I split one of each so we didn't have as many calories as we could have. But scones do not have the sugar or calories like lots of baked goods and they are so good with a cup of hot tea on a cold and snowy evening.
Rebekah made this Lemon Blueberry Bread with Lemon Glaze.  It was good too and the house smelled wonderful. We shared a slice of this last night.  This isolation has been a trying time but it has brought everyone closer together.
Praying for healing for the world, our country and people everywhere. Lots of prayer requests and I will share more tomorrow. Thank you for being here with me,

The hording is going on everywhere. It's a shame. It's getting better, but it has a way to go.

Hope you had a fabulous Thankful Thursday, my friend. Big hug. ♥

Your phamily is such an inspiration to me!
I don't know if this applies in other parts of the Country, but a few days ago the Montgomery Zoo put out a plea for fresh food to feed the animals -- specifically grocers and restaurants whose produce would otherwise have to be thrown out. (So happy to learn the response was overwhelming.)
