Aw...Mondays and Much More

Although my precious boy Boots was born on May 3 the same date we married I decided to celebrate him, although he left me for the Rainbow Bridge in 2012. Here he is in 1998, the year he was born with Hannah, Nick, Rebekah and our grandson Colton. I still am amazed how small he was. I will always love this fabulous feline friend of mine no matter how long he is missing from my life. What a precious friend he was, like a person and never acted like a snarky cat with attitude. He was a gentleman and kind soul. Happy birthday my friend. I hope you wait for me at the Rainbow Bridge.  Please visit Aw...Mondays and tell Sandee thanks for hosting and leave a post for us to visit too.

Love is...making me smile since the 1970's.
A verse of scripture to make me thankful to be alive.
While visiting Mimi I saw that she participates in a blog hop called Ten Things of Thankful. So I am here to share with Kristi and others to share at least ten things of thankful. Thanks Mimi for sharing.

1.) Grace and Mercy. During some difficult days of being in lock down I am constantly thnakful for my faith and God's grace and mercy,
2.) The Grands: No  matter how much distance is between or the fact that we can not all congregate, yep all 29 of us and that includes our precious Alastor Avery who went to be with Jesus last summer. Thankful Harrison will never forget his brother and will have anew baby sister soon. Thankful for them all, including this one:
Baby Shark Brody.

3.) Weird Weather: Being a Colorado native, both the hubby and I are thankful for the weird weather. We can have snow, rain and sunshine all in a ten minute period of time. We love our hometown state and it's "can not make up my mind" weather! Thankful to experience so many acts of nature on a daily basis. People have been known to ask "What the hail happened in Colorado?" They are usually from out of town!

4.) Clean Water: I never take for granted clean water. I am thankful to live where I may use fresh clean water to bathe, to drink and in the summertime splash around in a pool.
5.) Travel: I will be thankful to travel to visit our youngest daughter and her hubby in upstate New York soon. We are thankful anytime we can take a trip and since we've been locked down we know it is never to be taken for granted but to be very thankful for.

6.) Springtime: We don't always get a Springtime in Colorado. sometime we go from 7 degrees to 80 in a moments notice.  But this year, thankful for the fact that a true Springtime popped up. We could still get snow before month's end but thankful the flowers are starting to bloom and birds are singing to us each day.

7.) Good food: Did not take a snap shot of our anniversary dinner but the kids prepared steaks with three vegetables plus a huge salad. We are eating like kings and queens in the  lock down. We are not only thankful but extremely grateful.

8.) Financial Thankfulness:  I won a cash prize on a local radio station in February. Usually you can pick up your check at the station in a few weeks. Well, it did not happen. The lock down came and stayed so they contacted me last week that they decided to send us all our checks via the USPS! Thankful for that perk of extra dollars while we continue the sage of the lock down. Very thankful.

9.) Books: I am thankful I can read and have a stack of books, I need to tackle. I LOVE Reading and am thankful to be able to have books to read.

10.) Entertainment: Whether it is watching an old episode of The Waltons or the Virginian or Gunsmoke, it is nice to have some time to sit and relax. I Listen to music a lot but the TV is good for an oldie but goodie TV series. Very thankful for old fashioned entertainment.
Love seeing the good shows with some values. These three series were on the air for quite some time.

So spent my entire morning making crepes. Oh what a process doing it alone! The hubby is going to be my wingman next time around. They turned out nicely though. SO as usual I am late. But this lock down has me busying myself with new things.I use to have an electric crepe maker and this one is a stovetop one. But I prefer it. I did tear a few and brown a couple too much but they still tasted good! So here is my morning project!
One more Love is....celebrating marriage and anniversaries. Have a beautiful day.

So glad you linked up. There is one thing about having kids and grandkids in different states. You get to travel and explore new areas. (I know we have to be patient and wait a while for that to happen now, but eventually. . .)
Happy anniversary! Those crepes look yummy.
Your state's weather sounds like some areas of our state, although where I live pretty much has all four seasons separate rather than merged. I like it that way.
I especially like your #1. Me too.

Anne,

The 'Love is' comics bring back memories from my youth. :) Next month, we'll celebrate our 41st wedding anniversary. I can't believe we've been married this long. It seems like yesterday we exchanged I dos. I have lots to of thanksgivings, too. God is incredibly good to us all. The weather really is weird. It's been wet and windy for several months. We need to get outdoors to tend to the lawn but not getting a break from either for long. I hope this weekend we get a chance. Stay well, my friend!
