Feline Friday and Other Fun

Do you follow Cats of Instagram? Well this unique feline was found there. This cat is very seriously posing for the camera. I only get my sleepy boy to peek at me when I call his name! I hope you visit Comedy-Plus.com and share a favorite feline too. I just borrowed this image from Cats of Instagram.

Yesterday I posted  Friendly Finn-In questions. So today I am leaving my answers here:

1. If you want something new, you have work hard to buy it. Nothing is free in this world.

2. During the month of August I plan to get a crew to help clean out the garage before winter sets in.

3. Others might think it's strange that I love mashed potatoes with Campbell's pork and beans. It is kind of a special treat.

4. Having some normalcy in this world seems so far away.

Thank fifteenandmeowing.com (Ellen) for hosting this weekly blog hop with fourleggedfurballs.blogspot.com (Lorianne). They do a great job with the questions each week.
My friend Michelle says she wishes she had thought of this but she was simply sharing it. I thought it was so cool.  We don't wear our masks in our own home but we do not judge anyone who does. It is a choice and sometime a hard one. I think if we were all kinder it would help. A woman I know who is an artist and believes ghosts live in her home recently posted that she had an appointment at a hospital clinic and while she was heading inside she saw a masked employee pull down her mask and blow her nose. She said she reported the person. I think sometime we go too far. You do not know everyone's medical history, or if the person had a cold or a sneeze. I hope we do not become that society reports everything we see others doing. Truthfully I have a good relationship with all the neighbors I know so I appreciate having them as good honest neighbors. I do not want to jeopardize that relationship because it is nice to know others would help you out in a serious situation. Let's not follow in Hitler's footsteps with the Social Credit Society. Let us not repeat history but rather move forward with more kindness and love.

My cat would be sleeping here . But would he be a Cat Scan or a Copy Cat? This humor is the best. My hubby scans documents most of the day so he is quite familiar with all the copy machines as well as the scanners too.

My daughter-in-law and son take the best photos of these two. Little brother turned 11 months yesterday so Big Brother jumped in his crib for a photo op. These two give us great joy as we approach the first anniversary of the loss of our precious Alastor Avery on August 4th. howsweetthesound.typepad.comSo they are perfect to share with Pink Saturday.
Yesterday my sister-in-law Lucy and I had a long conversation. It saves us from getting work done. HaHaHa! She was talking about the hackers and spammers who call you all day long. I found this to send to her. These are the best.

Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy all those you love best Stay safe and be happy. Spread some kindness.

I am feeling better especially since Hannah and Jake will be here tonight with sweet Franklin. Leo is excited to see his little brother.
He is dreaming of seeing that little brother.
Franklin is dreaming of Leo too.

Happy Thursday and More

Little brother can't be seen, he faces toward the back but Big brother donned his sun shades and he and dad were headed to their Grammie Bobbie's house. Today I am very thankful for them.

This was a 2019 find. I love each one of these especially fresh changed sheets. I love the Summer because I can hang my sheets out on the clothesline. This is good for Happy Thursday too.
I sure love this Scripture, it is a favorite.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. Ellen at fifteenandmeowing.com came up with the first two and  co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

1. If you want ________________, you have to __________________.
2. During the month of  August, I plan to _________________.
3. Others might think it’s strange that I _____________.
4. _________ seems so far away.

Happy Tuesday and Tuesday Show and Tails and More

I am happy because today is Tuesday and that makes it Happy Tuesday This is my cool cup/soup mug that Jake's mom Christine gave me with an assortment of Buffalo, NY related items. I just had my lunch in it. I made a batch of Broccoli and Cheese Rice-A-Roni. I like to add fresh cut broccoli to it but did not have it so drained a frozen package instead and it was still good. Did you know today is Buffalo Soldiers Day?
When I woke up today I looked like this! Then I realized it is Happy Tuesday so I put on a happy face and here I am. I have already brought my trash cans up since it is Trash Day but waiting on the Recycle Truck since we have two recycle cans too. They were full to the brim.  This photo reminded me of kindergarten. I was shy, I know, you can not believe that hahaha! But I was! The teacher was talking and I cupped my hands over my mouth and stuck my tongue out at her. Unfortunately at that point in my life, I had not learned to close my cupped hands! Oops!  Yeah, that was me, sitting in the the same chair like this grumpy girl! But at Catholic school, a lady never sits without properly crossing her ankles while wearing a skirt or dress! Oh those old memories pop into my head and I write them out.
Oh Maxine, can I relate to you! Thursday they are going to install the solar panels. My neighbors all around me have them and say they cut their utility bills tremendously. Plus in Colorado it is the law unless you want to pay double or triple utility bills! We were originally scheduled for another day but there was a lack of communication on their part so it was rescheduled.
RaeAnne Thayne shared this so I wanted to share it. She is a great writer with a kind heart.  I won a giveaway she had and she personally talked with me over the personal messenger.  Speaking of winning...
My friend Anna Maria Campbell Brown has a LuLaRoe clothing boutique called That Chic Community. She asked us to tag three friends to invite to her group and I invited Noelle, Brittany and Lucy, my daughter, daughter-in-law and sister-in-law. Considering today is the tenth anniversary of the burial day of my late mother-in-law Rita Blackwell Robinson I wanted to especially brighten Lucy's day. But I had no idea that Anna selected these three ladies to get a $25 gift certificate to use in her boutique. Talk about lucky ladies! My daughter and daughter-in-law are Lula pros like me! Hee Hee Hee! But we all love pretty things to wear. So that happened and made me smile. Lucy cared for my MIL with Alzheimer's to the end of her life. She treated her like a rare orchid. Perhaps she thought of her mom as a rare gemstone. My MIL was cared for with grace and dignity. I will be forever grateful for Lucy for that.
That is my mother-in-law as a small girl with her baby brother Bud. He still lives on the farm and his oldest son plans to take it over. Monty and his wife are remodeling Grandpa and Grandma Blackwell's house. What wonderful memories.

Although they are extinct dinosaurs fascinate people today. They had some huge tails so I thought they would fit perfectly for my memories of Tuesday Show and Tails.  This photo is so peaceful.

Aw....Mondays and More

You know it is has been two years since sweet Layla went to the rainbow bridge. She was a boxer and she got sick really quickly and there was nothing anything could do for her. She was a good girl. She loved Trek and let me tell you, Trek was not a canine kinda guy. He did not love any other dogs but he adored this girl. They would escape their yard, a few doors away from me. They would sit on the front porch waiting to be let in so they would not into trouble with the local dog napper er....uh...dog catcher! Trek left for the rainbow bridge in August 2019. He was a quirky fellow but he liked treats and I made sure when I was around him, that he would get an extra treat or two. Had to smile when I saw their photo and wanted to say Aw....Mondays and hope you join us at Sandee's place to share some favorite Monday fun.
A triple Love is...treat. I miss my friend MD who blogged for many years and shared her favorite Love is...with us. She and her hubby are dealing with some health issues that are very serious. They would appreciate prayer.

RaeAnn Thayne is an author I know from reading her books. She shared this childhood tragedy. It seriously made me chuckle out loud and brought back so many memories.
These were my favorite days and nights of summer. I don't think we will get these times back ever again and it makes me a bit sad.
I speak my mind most of the time, but I also keep my heart toward heaven and my eyes on Jesus. I own nothing to the world except to pay my taxes. My father taught me that. Along with honesty is always the best policy.  Someone recently asked this questions,  if you could trade places with one person for 24 hours, who would you choose? My answer was John the Baptist. He is in heaven now but I admire his courage and how he spoke out when he lived on earth.  But if I traded places with him for 24 hours, I would be able to visit all my loved ones who went before me. That would be amazing.  It made me smile to think about it.

I am going to head over to my other blog as I am trying to keep them up. They make me happy because there is a small amount of wonderful people who visit me and they are so appreciated. When I first started blogging in 2009 people I started to met said go to this blog or that blog and with the exception of my dear friend Linda in Kansas, all the blogs they told me to visit where huge with advertisements and fancy houses with fancy cars and things and they were not friendly people folks. I started deleting them from my list and found the cozy blogs were where I needed to be. With people who might not be exactly like me (how boring would that be?) but we had similar interests and loved our phamily and our pets and other things. I am proud that the same people are still stopping by to say hey or hi or hello today. I like cozy friendships. They are real and they are inspiring to me. As for Linda, she is busy with her farm and she is not blogging as she once did, but her faith and friendship have me tied closely to her and I treasurer her as well as all of you. Thank you for the friendships. Stop by the other blog when you can too.

Random weekend Stuff

Just a random photo from our trip to Holly in October 2019. We stopped in Longmont because Christal and Alex were having a birthday bash for Alexis. We are excited to cook with Christal in a few weeks when Hannah and Jake come to town.  Mexican buffet ! Y U M M Y !

I am not terribly fond of these massive trees in my yard but I do love the cross that forms on top of them.
I love baseball but not a fan that the MLB is now jumping on the political correctness wagon too.     U G H ! It is weird watching games with these cardboard cutouts of fans. Yes, I already know "W" and his wife are Texas Ranger fans but Good Gracious, must I be subjected to their glaring faces while trying to watch a game. Not a fan of globalists! Leave politics out of sports. I think many fans are jumping off the wagon themselves. We want baseball not politics. Choose a career! The ship has already sailed for the NFL. People want good clean fun in sports not your political opinion. Go to your state capital and sign up for a political job. Get out of sports!
During all the chaos my favorite Rockie and his wife packed up their truck and hung out their sign:

Don't even ask my opinion of the globalist who threw out the first pitch for the National's
home opener. Don't tell me to wear a mask, say it doesn't help and not wear one yourself while sitting shoulder to shoulder with your wife and another person in the stands! You can not even pitch a ball why are you so important to sit at a game out in the fresh air? Whoever said you pitch like a girl just insulted every chick I know who would have smoked that ball into that catcher's glove! Utter nonsense in our country. Do as I say, do not do as I do! I watch baseball because I love baseball. I do not need your politics thrown in too!
Did the space ship take a wrong turn on the way to Roswell? Just asking for a friend.
That baby elephant is having a good time, skipping through life, not a care in the world. I miss times like those.
My life belongs to GOD. I don't owe the world anything but to pay my taxes.
When Jesus speaks, I listen. In fact, I woke up for a moment last night, I must have fallen asleep while praying for a friend's husband. I heard a man's voice call my name. I sat up, my hubby was fast asleep and I looked around and sank back into my pillow. If I Learned one thing from it, it is that God is always listening when we ask in Jesus name.

Feline Friday and More Fun

Feline Friday I never knew a cat who was safe around a bird but I guess it can happen. These two seem happy together.  They are very sweet together. Being different is nice.
Here are my answers to Friendly Fill-Ins:

1. I had a breakfast burrito at breakfast. It was great, with chorizo, egg and potato plus yummy green chili.

2. I LOVE surprises.  I am good at keeping secrets so that helps when I am planning a surprise for someone else.

3. Seeing my phamily is my idea of fun.

4. If I were a food I would be a juicy steak so someone could enjoy a wonderful special meal.

Stop by fifteenandmeowing.com and thank Ellen and also Lorianne . They co host this fun meme.
If you visit Beverly you can share in the weekly anything goes Pink Saturday.
I found this google image and it was created by tenor.com. I love butterflies and roses and pink so it added up nicely. Happy Pink Saturday.

It is just silly humor.
Kristi and co hosts Here are my ten things of thankful:

1. Sunshine and Cool Breezes, we have been having a major heat wave. The rain we have received isn't enough to help but it did provide some cool breezes which helps. Thankful for these simple things we often take for granted.

2. Hats: I Just bought the hubby two new Kentucky Wildcat Basketball hats. I bought myself one too. They are so good helping  to keep you cool on hot summer days.

3. Friends: they are a benefit like vitamins or cold water. We all need them even if we have one or two good friends.

4. Baseball: I will always love the game. I will never love the politics tangling with sports. As a child we played baseball and enjoyed the long summer days. We were carefree and did not worry about the things youngster have to worry about today. I am grateful. Thankful I had a father who taught me much about the game.

5. Sundresses: my favorite summer clothing. I love them. They twirl and when it comes to dresses, I Like flowy slinky fabrics or cotton twirly patterns too. It is the one thing about summer I love. Thankful for these pretty dresses.

6. Encouraging others: I have belonged to a group that sends encouragement to others. We just sent a birthday greeting to a WWII veteran who turned 100. He was in the Battle of the Bulge. He was also a Purple Heart recipient. Thankful I can encourage someone.

7. History: I love history and always have. I think we should learn from it not erase it. I particularly love hearing stories from Veterans of Wars.  They each tell such amazing human interest stories and we should be listening, loud and clear. Thankful for their stories and their sacrifices.

8. Food: I think food is something to be really thankful for. There are lots of choices today. As a child we did not go into a store and look over hundreds of snacks or other treats. Our mothers cooked the same meals, nearly in rotation weekly. SONdays at my childhood home, my mom made fried chicken or pot roast with all the fixings. Grateful for the good parents and good food we had. Thankful to be able to enjoy it all.

9. Earrings: I am thankful for lots of pretty earrings that I have on a turntable metal rack. A few years ago I was involved in company called Premier Designs Jewelry. I bought lots of beautiful pieces especially necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Today I Have friends who sell Paparazzi Jewelry. Everything costs $5 and there are many pretty earrings. I am thankful for friends who often gift me a pretty piece of jewelry and thankful I can purchases some pieces for gift giving.

10. Health: For my age I am thankful my heath is good. I don't have to take lots of medications and I Have many natural products to help me stay healthy. I am thankful for all of it.

What are you thankful for?
