C H R I S T M A S E V E 2 0 2 0

One more sleep and CHRISTmas will be here. Many of you may be sleeping and dreaming of sugar plums dancing in your heads.

Nick is feeling stronger each day. I think he will be good as new soon. The five of us will celebrate here tomorrow. Jeremy and his clan want to wait until Nick receives a clean bill of health so we stood in our driveway earlier today and watched the three kids open their gifts. It was all good fun and Nick was able to watch them too.

Noelle and Roger were to join us but they have been helping  Andrew with the boys while he is at the hospital. The kids can use all the prayer we all have to offer. I am hopeful they will be able to have dinner here but we shall wait and see.

As a child my grandmother would sing Silent Night to me in sLOVEnian. I wish I Had learned the words. I was always so in awe of her and her abilities to get around and do things without her sight. It is one of my very favorite CHRISTmas songs to this day.

Silent night, holy night

All is calm, all is bright
'Round yon virgin Mother and Child
Holy infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace
Silent night, holy night!
Shepherds quake at the sight!
Glories stream from heaven afar;
Heavenly hosts sing Al-le-lu-ia!
Christ the Savior is born!
Christ the Savior is born!
Christ the Savior is born!
Silent night, holy night
Son of God, oh, love's pure light
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace
Jesus, Lord at Thy birth
Jesus, Lord at Thy birth
Jesus, Lord at Thy birth

My wish tonight is that many would be grateful for seeing the CHRISTmas  star light up the sky and for all the good things that happened to us all in 2020. I like to keep my heart set on the goodness of the world. I have many stories of simple kindnesses today alone, the Fed Ex lady, the gentleman at the door of the newest liquor store in our area of town. We were picking up the second half of Jeremy's Secret Santa gift from Jake.  The store clerk who checked me out early this morning and struck up a nice conversation with me while he scanned and I bagged my groceries in my own reusable bags. MERRY christmAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOODNIGHT
