Hello March and More

 Happy Tuesday

Where does the time fly to? Away, I suppose. February left us so quickly and now it is March.

I joined a Maxine group at social media. I Know Sandee loves Maxine like I do.

Hannah captured Oreo whining that his food was not in his dish. By the looks of him, he is eating well balanced meals. Jake and Hannah get a kick out of him and his brothers. Casper, the quiet one, Marmalade the bossy one. He might be Mister Kitty's relative1 Hmm...He sure acts like him! hahaha Felines are funny creatures, as are all fur babies. They each have such unique personalities. This guy has been looking like a house cat lately.

Aw...Mondays/ and Hospice Care Heroes Tough Chicks Prayer

If you follow Facebook at all I want you to go there and find  Brooklyn's Journey Home . I will be sadly disappointed if you  don't do this. This 25 year old beautiful young lady is dying. You know what she isn't worried about? Things of the world. She has been relying on Jesus. If you don't read her story, you will sadly be missing something so valuable, all this other stuff isn't even important.  You are my hero Brooklyn.

There is Brandon, he is young too, he has a beautiful phamily. But cancer came back calling his name.  He went to the  light on February 22, 2022.  His family had asked everyone to turn on a light or light a candle for him. Please do this for Brandon. They  would greatly appreciate you and your prayers also. Brandon you are my hero too. We are lighting up our home for you. while you are lighting up heaven.

My cousin Mary received double news, both of her cancers, breast and lung are stage I. They were caught early enough and jumped the gun telling her before the final labs. She asks for prayer. She has such a strong heart, she wants to beat these nasty diseases. She is a Tough Chick.

Mary my nephews wife needs the kidney transplant. Prayer is very welcome. She is a Touch Chick.

Pray for Susan. She is a tough chick, because she is a retiree. She felt awful, sinus infection but her back hurt. Hmmmm......fluid on the lungs? Yep! But one doctor who saw her insisted she needed an MRI. She declined. Fortunately the doctor who waited to see her x-rays saw the fluid, ordered an anti-biotic and voila home she went. She is disgusted with the medical field. Medicine is becoming more about the cash flow and less about the care.  Her mom had given her a tin of teas and she is enjoying all the natural goodness of cloves, cinnamon, and  lots of goodness to warm her while she rests and heals.  You rock Susan!

Lulu is always a good aw....on Mondays! She is a good pup. a great mom and a sweet little darling.

Aw.....Love is....always knows the best things in life are not always easy but Love is... knows they can be fun too.

Hoping this new week is a good one for you.

How lonely sets the city
That was full of people!
How like a window is she,
Who is great among the nations!
The Princess among the provinces.
Has become a slave. Lamentations 11

Feline Friday and Pink Saturday

Boots was a one of a kind cat. He was so kind. I think about him every single day. He had a bit of an air about him but he was simply kind. I sure miss him. His anniversary is approaching. Ten whole years without my boy. I am still sad for myself because I miss him so much.

He was so regal. A real AristoCat! Classy and smart and loving.  Boots, you were the best feline friend a girl could have.

I like to think my boy is watching me from the heavens above. I am thinking pink so please visit Beverly and all the Pinkies too for Pink Saturday.

Prayers for Jason. He is our niece Jamie's sweetheart and he lost his stepmom tonight.  He just spoke with her and she suddenly became very will. They found a tumor on her aorta. He was planning to head to Florida in the morning but he just received the call she passed away. Jason is a really wonderful guy so please pray for him and his phamily. Thank you.

Wordless Wednesday

please visit Sandee
It is always hard for me to be wordless on Wednesday.
At my other blog My Tata's Cottage did my Wordless Wednesday post and added my sister's heavenly anniversary today (21 years) and my pup Lulu's 4th birthday! I had a mix up today so I apologize. It is hard to think in this frigid cold weather we have.

THANKFUL THURSDAY

 Thankful Thursday

Sharing my thankful's today. The cold is suppose to go away so thankful for some sunshine and warmer days.

The birthday boy had a glow in the dark birthday t shirt. We were babysitting them at their home one evening. Blake wanted something from his room so we all went upstairs . Brody was looking at all the shirts hanging in his brother's closet and he looked at me and said "Grandma, we have a lot of shirts! I had to chuckle.  He was so thankful to have so many shirts with his brother. They match too.

Avery and I love our matching t shirts/We have lots of them. I just found  matching Super Mario t shirts for us, they were on a clearance so  $10 off their original price.  We have three different Tom & Jerry t shirts, Mickey and Snoopy, even a Valentine t shirts that matches up when we stand together. hahaha

Our favorite Kentucky Basketball Shirts.

We are thankful for all the fun t shirts we have.  Thankful for everything in our lives.

Wordless Wednesday

I am not very wordless on most Wednesday's but at the birthday Friday this young fellow asked me to snap his photo with Duke who belongs to Brittany and Jeremy and their clan. I mixed up my Wordless Wednesday and Thankful Thursday posts. Thankful for the kindness over at Thankful Thursday who made a comment before I Updated it all. THANK YOU for your kind hearts.

Be kind, Be thankful, Be generous with your smiles. Have a blessed and beautiful evening and new day. God willing.

Tuesday 4 and More Thoughts

 PONDERING ODDS AND ENDS

Tuesday 4

Welcome to ToniTaddeo's Tuesday 4 kept up in her memory. We offer 4 questions for you to ponder and consider each week.  Hopefully they  make you stop and think and even get know yourself  and other bloggers a bit better .

Here we go discussing some personal thoughts this week...

1. Do you have a favorite gemstone! Why is it!

For my 16th birthday my dad bought me a birthday ring, December , blue topaz. I still have that ring although I need to have it resized. It is very special to me because my dad picked it out and he and I had a wonderful relationship. .

2. Do you know and understand the religious doctrines of your faith?\

Although raised a Catholic and will never forget the  things my folks gave up to educate myself and my four siblings in the Catholic school system . I am a born again Christian. I am not a traditional "religion" person . I rely solely on faith in God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. I did learn how important it was to have faith in Jesus early in my life.

It is interesting because as I write this my husband shared an article which is quite lengthy by Tim LaHaye (1926-2016). It is about the coming end times and the major players (China and Russia). My friend Joyce always says, if you read the bible you would totally understand what is happening and going on in the world.

I'll keep trusting God, following Jesus and praying for the world.

3. Do you have a favorite décor style, as in classical, traditional, modern, mid-century, colonial, etc.? What do you like about it?

I am kind of all over the place. I love the farmhouse look, I like simplicity. I am not big on formal. why have nice things if only to gaze upon them? One thing is certain, I am not nor will I ever be a minimalist! I need no one to spark my joy! I have Jesus for that! My sister Patsy was a colonial lover. She had the most lovely furnishings. She had a "gossip" bench that sweet little seat where you kept your landline and could sit and chat. I think of her when I see one pop up sometimes. I love comfort and do not like sofas or chairs that look pretty but hurt you more than keep you cozy.

4. Are there any books or movies you want to see this summer? I am knee deep in reading and somedays the entire day is gone before I realize I spent most of it reading a good book. We recently watched a Pixar movie, "Encanto" with our kids. Our son Jeremy has lights around his TV so when the music changes moods so do the lights. I am not too tech savvy but it was fun seeing those pretty lights. We do not go to movies anymore. It has gotten too expensive and too many people still kick the back of your seat and others talk too much. I prefer watching movies at home.  We have popcorn if we want it and the Dollar Tree still sells the movie candy for $1.25  a box. You need a bank loan for the movies today.

Always a smile for these two fellows.

Feline Friday and More

Feline Friday

GREEN EYED CAT

A Poem by Mary Bones

Stealthily, she hunts

A cat with green, gemstone eyes

that glitter at night..

Her orbs are transfixed

on her evening meal,

she zeroes in and pounce's

right before the claws come out.

Ellen and Lorianne share the sentences each week, as they each think of things for us to fill in the blanks.

1. It's about time______________________________.

2. An anecdote I like to tell is ___________________.

3. I wish there was a way to ________________without________________.

4. Too many people take ________________for granted.

My answers:

1. It's about time to put warning labels on energy drinks. I have read several articles of young people going into cardiac arrest and passing away.

2. An anecdote I like to tell is our grandson Colton was about three years old. We were attending the Candlelight Christmas Eve service. By the time we made sure our children made it to their class in the gym, there was only standing room in the church. We were lined up against the side walls in a single file. As the lights dimmed, our grandson said in a loud voice, "Grandmother, when will Jesus and His father get here? " The entire congregation smiled out loud.

3. I wish there was a way to converse with people without getting upset over differences of opinions. We live in a selfish culture. "I'm right, you're wrong! " It is very sad .

4. Too many people take freedom for granted. They don't know history. They just want it erased.

Pink Saturday This is the cutest pink sewing machine! I found it at Pinterest.  I would love to have one room in my home in pink. The color palette of pink is so versatile.

Happy Birthday to Brittany who celebrated on February 15th. She has a full house of February birthdays but I wanted to make sure I put up my post! Font woes, photos disappearing, hahaha...at last I am getting my birthday phamily posts put up on my blogs.

Sweetest little phamily ever! The boys and Addy were so small. Everyone is growing up so fast! I love these photos that Brittany's friend Jessica takes. She is an excellent photographer. Always gets the very best shots! Brittany enjoy this new year with those you love best.

Enjoy your day with Brody too as he turns F O U R ! We love you both so much!

Thankful Thursday

Stop and visit Thankful Thursday. This could almost be my boy Boots. But he had a delightful "milk mustache".  I love this so much. I hope you do too.

Being thankful is a good thing. If you feel thankful today think about and if you are incline to do so, please pray for Brooklynn. She is 25. She has a rare brain cancer. She is in hospice.I will refrain from my personal opinion of hospice care. But currently she received no nourishment. She was able to have someone sneak her away and go outdoors on a nice day. She is so young and so in tune to what lies ahead. She and Jesus are BFF's and she is getting ready to meet Him face to face and she is so peaceful and filled with love for Him.

Snowy weather outside.

I am thankful for the snow. We need it because otherwise in the hot months the people supposedly in charge of everything will complain, higher water rates higher this, higher that.

This post may be a bit long but since I Love music, I wanted to share this "exercise" I shared from my friend Lorna. I thought will try to think of other songs to match this fun exercise.

Something to wear: You Look Good In My Shirt (Keith Urban)

A Place:  Telluride (Tim McGraw)

Animal:  White Rabbit (Jefferson Airplane)

A Number : When I'm 64 ( The Beatles)

A Colour :  Forever in Blue Jeans (Neil Diamond)

A Girl's Name: Suite: Judy Blue Eyes ( Stephen Stills)

A Boy's Name: Adam's Song (Blink 182)

Profession: Private Dancer (Tina Turner)

Day of the Week: Sunday Mornin Comin Down (Kris Kristofferson)

Thankful for music, friends, fun and always prayer.

Happy Tuesday and More

Happy Tuesday My nephew Gary, first born grandchild and my arch nemesis when I was five. Does my expression give it away?

This photo makes me so happy. Probably shortly before my grandma lost her eyesight. I loved her so much and always will. Gone since 1967 and there is not one day that goes by that I do not think of her. My mom is on the left and my grandma's cousin France standing behind us. Someone did write all of our names on the back of the photo. SMILE.

Wordless Wednesday

My friend Lynette was checking in at her late aunt's home. She took this photo of my childhood home. My father would have flipped his lid to see that nasty ram shackled piece of broken down fence. Zero pride. Her aunt's home is the last on the block with an original owner. It will soon be destroyed as all the others have. Trashy people, breaks my heart.

Such a sweet memory. My friend Lynette & I have known each other since we were small children. That is a long, long time.

Aw....Mondays and More

 Aw...Mondays

This was my Valentine's Day breakfast with a half a grapefruit. I love GM products. But  one of our son-in-laws works for them. There is a code on top of the cereal box in case you want to know where your cereal was made. These came from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Don't you love the heart shaped Cheerios? With so many American made products going to China, I am grateful GM is still in the states.

Princess Sassy Pants always has a thoughtful post. I love collecting these to share.

Love is...never grows old. I love this message.

Avery bought this Precious Moments figure for me in 2015. She is stamped on the bottom, it's your time to sparkle. Don't you love her sweet kitten at her side?

Ill be back Wednesday, Babysitting tonight and tomorrow all day. Thank you all for being here. I will visit this week. HAPPY VALENTINE;S DAY to all!

Feline Friday , Sunday Stealing and More

Feline Friday Here I am catching up after a day of sleet and snow and cold temps. These news people could not hit the target on the weather if they had a crystal ball! Perhaps they do, and their luck ran out on it. (Smile)

This fellow seems a bit perturbed. I understand! We thought with the mask mandates lifted we would be able to see not only our chiro doc but his wife the acupuncturist too.  Nope, they have to follow the medical association guidelines. I find it interesting as only one doctor I have known through the years had one ounce of respect for chiro doctors. If it weren't for our  original chiro doctor, who retired a few years back,  I never would have found out what  was causing my dizziness, blackouts and eventual hydrocephalus diagnosis.  Seeing our chiro doc is easy, five minutes face down with the mask on but an hour in the same position to see his wife, nope, nada, I don't think so! Very frustrating.

Ellen and Lorianne co host this fun meme. They each think up the sentences here so here we go:

1. A week without ____________would be nice.

2. A week without ____________would be impossible.

3. I didn't plan to,  .________________but I'm glad I did.

4. I once _______________and lived to regret it.

My answers:

1. A week without constant Big Pharma commercials would be nice.

2. A week without "Science" worship would be impossible.

3. I didn't plan to, have all the children we have, but I can honestly say, I would not change a thing.

4. I once road a rollercoaster after my first neurosurgery and lived to regret it.

Thank you to Bev for sharing this and I enjoyed answering these questions.  I did cut and paste as it is late. I hope that was ok to do. I have missed being in the swing of these. Thank you again BEV!

Thankful Thursday

I hope you visit Thankful Thursday I am thankful everyday for so much.  Currently, since we are falling deeper into a recession and possibility of war, I am thankful for those I love. Thankful for my faith and thankful for all those friends who support my faith.

Three of my friends are married to pastors. One of my great cousins is a pastor. These people are the most amazing examples of  faith and kindness that I know. Thankful for these bunch of kind hearts.

Then there is tiny Dr. T. She is a born and raised Buddhist. She will be the first to respect my faith  as I respect her faith. You have no idea in all the years I worked with her how we learned so much about the kind of phamily we each grew up in. We shared our thoughts on World War II as I am American and she is Japanese. I read the book  "Unbroken". I discussed it with her and each of us told stories were from our grandmothers and parents.  Do you know what we never heard? H AT E ! We may not have liked the idea of all those lives lost to war but we understood. We know government always has a different idea on war than the common people. Thankful for friendships that keep on giving.

My sweet pastor wives shared their views with me on some questions I asked them. One told me when you are hurt and disrespected by someone you care about, you must pray for them, forgive them in your heart and move on. Another one said no one has the right to put down your faith. They don't have to like it but they have no right to tell you not to share it. One wife told me, always keep Jesus and kindness in your heart. It will give you more than you ever thought possible and it will keep removing any unkindness's from your own heart  that tries to seep in.  Thankful for my own personal  peacekeepers. They are filled with joy not hate. It is a thankfulness I truly love.

Thirteen years ago I met a blogging friend who was smart and interesting but they had no faith in themselves or anything else.  Back than there was a group of us who became very close. I miss them because most of them stopped blogging. But we all still remain friends. This friend lost both parents and had  their own serious health issues  as well as some of their other phamily members. Our group of bloggers decided we would shower are smart and sweet friend with love and kindness. We would encourage them, pray for them, and love them unconditionally. A few years down the road this wonderful human being had a complete turnaround. It was just an amazing blessing and when I spoke with them last they reminded me that they would be praying for me. I remember the days of my childhood,  I was taught that God loves every single person on this earth. I thought that was the coolest thing ever.  I am thankful for that.

I am also thankful for love. It is the greatest gift we have. Use it generously.

1 Corinthians 13: 4-8

Beth posted this message at social media. She will get all those cards to her brother and will share photos too. They will be traveling to her brother's home in Tennessee. Praying for safe travels. Thanks to everyone who sent her brother a card. She said he is going to love all the kindness showering him.
Holy macaroni! Thank you so much for the "card party" for my brother's birthday!! These are from family, friends (old and new), friends of friends, co-workers, prayer groups, and are from all over the country (and Canada) because YOU ALL shared the post. His birthday is Wednesday. and we're hoping to leave Thursday to visit and deliver them. After we're home, I'll share more pictures. Thank you to the moon and back. XOXO  ❤ 💌

Beth Derrington Russo

Thankful for all that participated and sent Bob a birthday greeting. A little kindness and love goes a long way.

THANKFUL
