THANKFUL THURSDAY AND MORE

Some feline humor for THANKFUL THURSDAY

It is amazing how people think up all these things!

I REGRET NOTHING! NOTHING!

Too cute not to share!

This is a good verse for the difficult days .

FRIENDLY FILL IN'S

ELLEN came up with the first two here and LORIANNE came up with the second two.

1. _________________keeps me up at night.

2. If  I could improve one of my senses,  it would be _______________.

3.If  I were home alone and I heard footsteps, I would _______________.

4. I would want the epitah on my tombstone to say_______________.

Tomorrow we will share our answers to these thoughts. Thank you ladies for sharing with us.

THANKFULNESS for me today is:

Thanks to all who contributed in many different ways to Noelle and Roger as they walk this difficult road together.  A simple prayer, a meal, a card of encouragement, funds to sustain them during these times. I have been blessed to know so many kind and caring hearts. A simple reaching out with your hand is so encouraging. I am grateful for all those who reach out to me daily.  Those things keep us going in the midst of sadness,.  Pray for their children and the grandchildren too. It is never easy explaining this to little ones but somehow words will come.

My sweet cousin Juliane shared with me a children's book when we lost Alastor Avery in 2019. Let me share it with you here:

Juliane had told me her late father-in-law Steve used this children's book in his Sunday School Class.  It is a beautiful book.  It helps children and adults alike to come to gripes with life and death in a sweet and very poignant way. A simple story of Freddie the leaf.  I highly recommend it.

“When it comes time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.” – Chief Aupumut in 1725, Mohican.

My thankfuls never end.

I hope you have a beautiful and blessed day.

Happy Tuesday and Tuesday 4

 Happy Tuesday and Tuesday4

Let's talk about the Four Seasons

Glad to have you back for Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4.
The idea is to promote blogging and friendship and allow you to get to know yourself and others through 4 questions asked each week.

Let's talk about the seasons. Summer has just passed and we have begun our journey into autumn.

1. How would you describe each of the four seasons? I love each season but Fall and Spring more than Summer or Winter. It is odd because I have had so many losses in my favorite seasons but I think as the leaves Fall and go away into the cold winter but the Springtime renews new life. It is something that  has always kept me from losing myself in constant sadness  or bitterness. I am grateful for all the four season as where I live we have them all. I like it, I like the change of colors. the different moods the different seasons bring on. I like to look for the good and be positive. Winter brings the snow and much moisture. Spring renews the earth with new life. Summer blooms with all the beautiful flowers and trees. Fall changes the colors but gives me hope that it will all come around agin as long as this world goes on.

2.  How do you generally feel during each season? Do you suffer allergy, feel tired, sad, happy, energized? What does each season do for you? This mature lady feels the different seasons in her joints & bones. I have suffered from allergies my entire life, as a young child and into my teens and adulthood. Sinus issues too but manage them with as much natural relievers as I can find.  I feel happier in the warmer months. Winter is not too terrible because I can watch the snow fall from indoors. But it is a time I pray even more for those who are homeless as the winters can be cold and uncaring. Winter is my reading season. The other seasons are my outdoor times. It is easier to enjoy the outdoors with the sun shining although we do have many more sunshine days then most winter states.

3.  If there is to be only one season for you to live in, which one would it be and why? That would be so hard for me. I guess I would choose Fall if I was guaranteed that the colors of yellow, orange and red would be brilliant and bright .

4. What color(s) do you associated with summer, winter, autumn and spring?  Example: maybe summer is green, winter is white..etc. Summer to me is bright and sassy! Fall is all the beautiful golds, orange and red.  Winter is white with beautiful blue skies and bright yellow sunny days after a morning storm. Spring is pastels and lush green.

Oh Maxine, you have something to say on every subject!  But I "get it", it is hard to get out of those low chairs.

Aw...Mondays

 Aw...Mondays

Baby ducks are so sweet. I have a friend Monica, and she and her husband Carlos have two of them as pets. I am not sure where they go in the wintertime. I am going to have to ask her.  They grow up so quickly. I am not sure how they would get along with other ducks if they were living a more sheltered life. I never really thought it about before. But they are sure cute with their soft fuzzy bodies and cute eyes.

I like to learn something new everyday and search things out. Sometime people share simple things that I never was aware of. I like learning.

We had a cold spell this weekend. I spent my days drinking lots of hot tea. Today it is cool but the sun is out. I hope the weather holds out but we keep hearing next week we will have snow. Sure aren't ready for it yet.

Love posting Sparks. Annie always inspired all of us and since she left blogging, many of us decided to carry on this tradition.
