Thankful Thursday Friendly Fill In's Feline Friday Pink Saturday

 Thankful Thursday

Vintage Kittens on a Card

A vintage card share I saw at Pinterest. Love these kittens and I wish I had a card like this to share with someone today. Always thankful for all these finds.

Since we had company since last week, I was off my blogs and I sure missed everyone. So I am backtracking a bit today.

Time for the fill-ins. Ellen came up with the first two sentences and her co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

1. My favorite character from a film, tv or book is ____________________.
2. The one word I would use to describe myself is ___________________.
3. If I had to give you my best piece of advice, I would tell you _________.
4. _________ will never compare with _________.

Here are my answers:
1. My favorite character from a film, tv or book is Scout in To Kill A Mockingbird. I love the book, the movie and the author Harper Lee.
2. The one word I would use to describe myself outgoing although I don't always feel like I am.
3. If I had to give you my piece of advice, I would tell you Trust God, He is never going to let you down and He will always be with you no matter how alone you might feel.
4. Our country the USA will never compare with the way it was.

This Pinterest found kitty is pretty in pink. But I am not sure the hat is making this feline friend happy.

Is the truth? I think it is. Mister Kitty is relaxing today. He spent the last week laying on top of the dryer courtesy of my son-in-law Zach who provided him with a fluffy blanket. Although Franklin, Jake and Hannah's little dog is way over this feline, he feels the need to be scared and hide away from Franklin until he retired each night.

So who knows when Springtime will arrive in Colorado! We had it as late as Mother's Day 2015 and 2016.  This pretty pink bird doesn't seem to mind the snowy weather wherever he is.

Although this sign is no longer available on  etsy it sure is a cute sign if you love pink.

Have a perfect weekend wherever you may be and whatever your weather is. As a Colorado native, we are use to the cold showing up unannounced.

Wordless Wednesday and Thankful Thursday and Friendly Fill In's

Wordless Wednesday

Great Sand Dunes National Park Colorado

 Thankful Thursday

Today I am simply thankful for the fact that I made it through this day! The loss of my boy Boots in 2012 on this March 16th date along with Rose born on it in 2005 always gives me a very emotional day.

Miss my favorite feline friend today and everyday.

Rose's face says "Buzz off will ya, you're annoying me!"  One strong willed girl celebrating a heavenly birthday today.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. Ellen came up with the first two and her co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

1. If one doesn’t ________________ then one doesn’t deserve _____________________.
2. What happens at _________________ stays at ______________.
3. One day I will _________, but for now _________.
4. If you ask me _________, I _________.

HAPPY TUESDAY AND MAXINE CRACKS ME UP TEA TYME TUESDAY

 HAPPY TUESDAY

Gabriel García Márquez

"No medicine cures what happiness cannot."

"They say a person needs just three things to be truly happy in this world: Someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for." Tom Bodett

I've been having trouble with the font sizing. But I am still happy. I find getting grumpy or angry is not going to help me so here I am....On Happy Tuesday.

The last time I found a four leaf clover was when I was about 8 years old! So I am guessing, Maxine is correct with her assumption here. hahaha

We have a spoiled dog like this, Loki! He will not accept a treat unless you hold it for him in the palm of your hand. Maybe I am just extra happy that he was misdiagnosed with a dreadful disease and is alive to remind me that he remembers the days when I had to hand feed him when they thought he was ill.

Tea Tyme Tuesday for me means using a pretty cup / This one seems to be more for displaying than using although with all the colorful flowers and the butterfly it is right up my alley.

A Pinterest share, chocolate croissants. Harrison and I made them once from crescent rolls. They were very fun and easy to make plus I always know where my chocolate lover is. wink wink

Forgive my font errors. They keep changing randomly no matter what I do!

I was exhausted and fell back to sleep at 7 and woke up at 9 A.M. To say I had "bed hair (hare) is an understatement! This sweet hare is courtesy of Pinterest and Lucia Hefferman at The Ivy House

Time slips away so quickly.  Hoping you are doing well with the time change wherever you maybe.

A Sparks to share with you today regarding time. Have a wonderful new week.

A funky chicken for your Monday viewing pleasure. Aw...Mondays

FELINE FRIDAY AND PINK SATURDAY

This Pinterest find made me S M I L E! These two rejected and unloved found each other. I wish they were mine. So adorable and very precious. Come visit Feline Friday

Pink Saturday

Visit Maraschino Cherry Frosting for the recipe for the frosting Of course, it is pretty in pink!

If you love cherries you can get the cake recipe at Pinterest too.

If you have ever played cards with small boys and girls  you can understand the concept of this photo in the Family Circus. Oh Sweet Dolly...

I miss the old days of Pink Saturday When people befriended you and visited your blogs. Now  hardly anyone leaves a comment. It makes me quite sad.  But I do know many bloggers left Pink Saturday because it was taken over by those who just promote their blogs. Most of these bloggers just promoting their blogs with so many ads it is nerve wracking. Sorry just showing my true feelings.  I have never been tech savvy nor will I ever be. What happened to old fashioned kindness and manners? If you see that I did not leave a comment you will know why. Some of the links are incredibly rude, just my personal opinion.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss and Thankful Thursday

 Thankful Thursday

Dr Seuss has a birthday today and everyone at Thankful Thursday is participating. Dr. Seuss still is on my book shelves. We have so many of his books.  Some of his most popular are The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham and The Lorax along with Oh The Places You'll Go and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

Blake likes to make sure this green guy is watching us when we play! He came with a copy of the book "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" and great grand boy Benjamin was wanting everything Grinchy a few years ago. He received this guy plus the book plus pjs. - all Grinch approved.

"We are all a little weird and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours , we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love." Dr. Seuss

Thankful for the weirdness I share with my husband Avery.  We all have some weirdness so thankful I know all of you  and we all get along.

Today my friend Linda's son-in-law Tyler celebrated his birthday with Dr. Seuss.   Today is also the anniversary of the  passing in 2016 of one of the kindest bloggers, Sally DeStefano. This woman shared her faith and although she had been terribly ill for quite some time, she never failed to hand each person she came into contact with on the blog or in person a huge kindness. I will forever miss this light in an often dark world. I know she is enjoying being pain free in her heavenly home. Today my friends Carole and her sister Jene celebrated  a heavenly birthday linking all their precious memories with  their aunt Annie. You see, we all came from a neighborhood with strong willed women. Many women were widows, they raised children and helped raise their grandchildren or nieces and nephews too. Annie was one of those people. She taught Jene how to drive. Her interior of her car was immaculate. The outside of it was battered and bruised as Annie was a terrible driver. She turned 111 in heaven today. Jene says about a year before her passing Annie had a deathly case of the flu. Jene begged her to stick around.  She said Aunt  Annie I want to see you dance at my wedding. Annie said, you expect me to stick around THAT  LONG!?  Annie never was one to mince her words. . Jene never married  but she is a journalist by nature and her love of her Bojon heritage and all those strong willed women she grew up with are forever engraved on her heart. HAPPY HEAVENLY BIRTHDAY to Annie.

I hung out with these handsome guys today. Their great grandpa Bob fell while walking his dog, according to Brody, who always gets all the facts in his stories. They talked to me about him all day long and were so tickled when their mom Brittany said they would stop by their grammie's house to pay a visit. He still lives in his own home but his daughter brought him to her house from the ER yesterday. He took a hard tumble on the ground and boy did he get battered. Prayers for Great Grandpa Bob are appreciated. He had to have 9 stitches in his head. Ouch! I am praying for speedy healing and recovery.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Thursday. I am going to try to be timely for Feline Friday. A shout out to  Mimifor hosting this blog hop that was handed to her  by Sandee . Thank you to everyone who hosts these fun blog hops. Have a terrific weekend.
