It is a day to rejoice. So I say, eat whatever you like! I'm so glad your holiday was wonderful. Pogo and I had a wonderful Christmas too.

I loved the photos, and the dishes sound yummy. Today I'm off to visit an aunt whom I haven't seen in probably twenty five years. It's going to be a lot of fun.

You have a wonderful day my friend, hugs, Edna B.Edna Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02550994321689374875noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8965293212962953575.post-73969048695441153552015-12-26T20:02:27.820-07:002015-12-26T20:02:27.820-07:00I remember my mother with the pressure cooker too....I remember my mother with the pressure cooker too. She'd say, "Stand back in case this thing explodes," while she'd be fooling with the top thing. I think she might have been releasing steam? This past year I bought a pressure cooked, but nothing fancy like your new electric one. I had never had one before and we've experimented with a few recipes.

I had no idea what potica was so I didn't think it was strange to have it with Mexican food! I had to look at the website. I usually cook Italian spaghetti and meatballs for Christmas dinner, but I made the announcement early that I wasn't going to cook a big meal this year. Instead we had cold cuts, potato salad, macaroni salad, etc. Everyone made their own sandwich. We had Christmas cookies for dessert. I baked cookies for the first time in many years.

I too have been greatly disturbed by the mean and cruel things that have been said this political season. I stay away from most social media. I think people have learned to "say" anything on social media and now for some it's become easy to say it publicly. The fact that so many are accepting of this behavior leads me to believe there's no going back. I hope I'm wrong.

I like your choice of words for the year!Bettyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09068151073417372746noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8965293212962953575.post-89584085621436394842015-12-26T16:42:35.991-07:002015-12-26T16:42:35.991-07:00After reading about your Mexican feast, I want a c...After reading about your Mexican feast, I want a chile relleno. Guess who's going over to check out that website?)

Love your chosen words ... Kindness and Forgiveness.
