Nick runs in the state competition today for cross country. We enjoy going to Fort Collins. It is a lovely eco friendly town about 50 minutes North of us. It is home to the Colorado State University and a city filled with lots of booming businesses.
I am nervous for Nick and I have not talked about this race much except to tell him as I always do, "Run the race for yourself. Make sure you beat your best times. The 54 senior boys running this final race of their high school careers will certainly want to win!" I tell him to do his best. Be the best he can be for Nick. No one else matters. He has incredible focus when runs and I am so proud of him. He has come a long way from the small middle schooler who was asked by his coach to join their team over 2 years ago! Nick has integrity and honesty and commitment. He spends most of his summers running with his team logs 20-30 miles weekly. He hopes to run in Arizona during Thanksgiving break. We are trying to put some funds together for that! Always something with a phamily!
Remember today is the final day for PH specials for period 11. If you want a stainless steel whistling tea kettle or other great items call me before 7 this evening. Although I will be on the road part of the day I always check my e mail and phone msgs. The new specials for 12 start today also. Get 'em while their hot! Remember if you purchase any items at all you will help yourself to wonderful elegant items to keep or give and you will help us help Tink. Any monies earned are going to the Tink Health fund.
God Bless all and keep Tink in your prayers. Hannah is on the road to Gunnison with Bonnie, Markus's mom so pray that they have a safe trip to watch that handsome sweetie play his final freshman season football game in which he was selected to play varsity! Go Markus! Go Mountaineers~! Go Red! :):):)
Please pray that we have a safe trip to the state cross country meet and pray that Nick remains healthy & happy & does his very best!
