My Giveaway Wins and Some Great Thirfty Fines!

Finally, I am starting to feel that Spring is really here and I am showing off my fully ready mini greenhouse I won from Troy over at i-refuse-to-recede.blogspot.com/.

In all her splendor here she is
Isn't she is beauty? I had some seedlings to start and now where I put them for safekeeping is beyond me! But once she is settled on the patio I think I will be begin to enjoy my new hobby. My daughter Rebekah and her honey Phil planted a burning bush and a spruce/pine tree in the backyard so we are getting ready for Spring! Thanks Troy and thank the random generator for selecting my name! I am so thrilled to have this in my home!

I won Jenny Matlock's Easter vintage and here is Jen's beautiful creation (J Nichelle) which is currently residing in my china cabinet.

This sweet little lamb resides in this pretty pastel pink egg house complete with a baby chick hanging out back! Both Jenny at jennymatlock.blogspot.com/  and Jen, the designer of this sweet treasure at jnichelle.blogspot.com/ are awesome for helping me make my Easter holiday 2010 a day to truly remember!

My friend Sharon gave me yellow peeps and Alyn gave me a beautiful Easter lily. I am so loved!
Tonight, my hubby, Super Chef, is creating a new dish. He took a recipe from a Princess House Easy Idea flyer (see you should have entered that giveaway too!) and created this magnificent soup. It is called Tortellini Soup and here it is

Sorry, it is so tasty it is hard to stop eating and snap this picture! Here is the recipe for you:

1 cup chopped onion                     1 14.5 oz. can tomatoes, regular or Italian
2 cloves of garlic, minced               1 14.5 oz. tomato sauce
2 tbsp. olive oil                              1 10 oz. frozen chopped spinach
1 tsp. Italian seasoning                   1 16 oz. package tortellini
48 oz. chicken broth                       Salt and Pepper to taste
1 zucchini, thinly sliced
Saute onion and garlic in olive oil then add the next 6 ingredients. Heat to boiling and add tortellini., simmer 15 minutes, until tortellini is cooked. Season with salt and pepper. Serve in individual soup bowls and sprinkle with fresh parmesan cheese. I was thinking, zucchini, fresh herbs, I may have to grow some in my greenhouse along with some spinach!

Finally here are a few of my thrift store fines from yesterday.
