I am also going to have the lyrics to Reba's great song here too.
She saw it in the window just a callin’ out her name
She mowed the grass, took out the trash and saved, saved, saved
She bought it on a Monday, had a gig on Friday night
In the garage in front of her mom she came alive
Chorus 1:
She likes to play, she loves to rock
Yeah, she's closer to the bottom but she's headed for the top
She's got a dream to be a star
Dressed in black like Johnny Cash with a pink guitar
She didn't go to college, she just up and hit the road
Wherever they were jamming, she would go, go, go
Every single hole-in-the-wall from here to Shreveport
She’d have 'em in the palm of her hand screamin’ for more
Repeat Chorus 1:
Someday she's gonna play it up there on the Opry stage
Soon you’ll see it hangin' next to Minnie Pearl's hat
In the country music hall of fame
Chorus 2:
Oh, she likes to play, she loves to rock
She's got a dream to be a star
Dressed in black like Johnny Cash
She likes to play, she loves to rock
Yeah, she's closer to the bottom but she's headed for the top
She's got a dream to be a star
Dressed in black like Johnny Cash with her pink guitar
I said a pink guitar
She plays a pink guitar
I said a pink guitar
She mowed the grass, took out the trash and saved, saved, saved
She bought it on a Monday, had a gig on Friday night
In the garage in front of her mom she came alive
Chorus 1:
She likes to play, she loves to rock
Yeah, she's closer to the bottom but she's headed for the top
She's got a dream to be a star
Dressed in black like Johnny Cash with a pink guitar
She didn't go to college, she just up and hit the road
Wherever they were jamming, she would go, go, go
Every single hole-in-the-wall from here to Shreveport

She likes to play, she loves to rock

She's got a dream to be a star

She plays a pink guitar
I said a pink guitar
I am showing you a series of various guitars. I have a collage of country sensation Taylor Swift with her pink guitar. I have a guitar hero guitar and a Fender which is the Cadillac of guitars. I am trying to get my digital camera updated so until I complete that I have to use images I find. I hope you will enjoy them.
The guitar has an ancient history that can be traced back 4000 years. It is a noble instrument and has been claimed to be related to the lute. This has found to be untrue. The lute is related to the guitar but not a product of one or the other.
Today you can find guitars made by Fender,Gibson and Taylor to name a few. The guitar is a product of the chordophone family. It is a stringed instrument that is played by plucking the strings with fingers or a pick. There are two primary families of guitars, acoustic and electric The acoustic guitar *and similar instruments) have hollow bodies, and have been used for over a thousand years. There are three main types of the modern acoustic guitars, the classical guitar (nylon string guitar). The steel string acoustic guitar and the archtop guitar. The tone on a acoustic guitar is produced by the vibration of the strings, which is amplified by the body of the guitar. It acts as a resonating chamber . The classical guitar is often played as a solo instrument using a comprehensive finger picking technique. Electric guitars were introduced in the 1930s and rely on an amplifier, that can electronically manipulate the tone. Early amplified guitars were hollow but solid bodies were found to be more suitable. Electric guitars have had a profound influence on popular culture. Guitars are recognized as a primary instrument in genres such as blues, bluegrass, country, flamenco, jazz, jota, mariachi, reggae, rock, soul and many forms of pop.
The guitar is a unique instrument and is popular in all music venues mentioned above. I hoped you enjoyed my brief history on the guitar.

Gotta love a pink guitar! It almost makes me wish I played a guitar instead of the piano. Of course, I guess I could paint my piano. Hope you have a happy PS and lovely Mother's Day!
