Welcome To Claude Monet Featured On Pink Saturday

Hello and welcome to my Pink Saturday contribution. I am going to feature Claude Monet who was a founder of the French Impressionist painting, and the most consistent  and prolific practitioner of the movement's philosophy of expressing one's perception before nature, especially as applied  to plein-air landscape  painting. The term Impressionism is derived from the title of his painting Impression, Sunrise (Impression, soleil levant).

Oscar Claude Monet was born in Paris ,France  14 December 1840 and passed away at Giverny, France  5 December 1926.

His art is known internationally and I own a few copies of his famous works including The Stroll featuring Madame Monet and her son and the Garden which was  one of his most famous paintings.

You may visit the home and gardens of Monet as the gardens are opened seven months each year. There are two gardens the flower garden called  The Clos Normand and the Japanese Water Gardens.
