Please click on the pretty pink lady on my right side bar and thank Beverly for hosting this Pink Saturday post each week. She is tireless in making sure these go off each week.
My post today is a bit odd. Since my mother-in-law is coming to the end of this life I posted some hands from babes to youth to age. I also thought this pink floral kettle pot and the pink socks and shoes were too cute to pass on! I use google images a lot. I am a bit unorganized and watching and waiting for Rita to take her step into Our Heavenly Father's arms has been a tough road for all of us. My husband has a birthday today and he is finally my age! He loves to tell everyone he is married to an older woman! I am so sad for my hubby. He is such a good man and often he carries the load because his phamily can be so self serving. Pray for us and wish us a pink day! We are already blue!
Please stop by to visit my sweet friend BJ here. She has a wonderful blog and I enjoy my visits with her everyday. I need to get back into the swing of things and hopefully next week won't be so disconnected. I encourage you to visit the old and new Pink Saturday participants. Enjoy your day!
what a great post!!! love the hands..you take care.

ReplyDeleteDear Sweetie,
ReplyDeleteI'll be thinking of you and your family as you go through a sad time.
Your photos are beautiful and poignant.

You are such a sweetie lady. Thank you so much for the shout-out. I so enjoy your visits and love coming over to see you.
ReplyDeleteI know how hard it is to watch someone you love, getting ready to leave this life. As I am an old woman, I've lost quite a few, myself. It is never easy.
I told my daughter once, that I wish there was something I could do to make it easier when I pass...she said, "Mom, when you love someone so much, it will always be hard. Having GOD to put HIS arms around us will always get us through anything, tho." and, of course, this is right.

What a lovely, thoughtful post!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your sweet hubby, have a great weekend! :-)
Hugs,
Anne
A very touching post. The combination of the young and old, plus pinks, make a wonderful feature. Those old wrinkle hands have more living and love ingrained than most of us will ever know. May you find peace during all these stressful times, that there are a lot of us out here that understands. Blessing to you and family. You may think you know someone, but the true person comes out at "will" reading time. I know as I have been there.
ReplyDeleteHi Anne Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteA very heart warming post. I will be sending prayers out for you and dear husband and his sweet Moma as she graduates to heaven to be with our Heavenly Father.
I love the little baby feet inside of the young hands, and the beautiful appearance of the older hands. They may be worn but they have loved a lot in their years here on this Earth.
May the family find peace as your sweet MIL steps into her new robe of life in Heaven. Please keep me posted sweet friend. I am hugging you as we speak.
Country hugs and much love, Sherry
Even tho I see sadness coming your way, I hope Rita is not suffering and passes into the light with no problems. I am sorry for your family and esp your husband. Even though this is the way of life, it's not easy letting go and saying goodbye to a loved one. The picture of the hands and feet is just a heartbreaker and a heart tugger too, because this is the way of life. Lets live it to the fullest, love and respect each other and be grateful for another day together. Beautiful post, Happy Pink Saturday, Char
