I could say I am late for my Pink Saturday post or I could tell you that I am early for my Spiritual Sunday post. Either way I just got busy with the pets around here and helping my hubby at his job with the Saturday mail! I had an entirely different post to put up and the photos won't load so here is my Pink Saturday.Spiritual Sunday post:
I have several reproduction prints of Monet's work. I think the painter's back in Monet's day had such grace and talent. Today there is so much garbage that people consider art! I am truly offended by most of it so I like to find some comfort in these old classics.
I hope you will visit Beverly at http:howseetthesound.typepad/com/
"Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it Hed rested from all His work which God had created and made." Genesis 2:3
Then you should stop by Spiritual Sunday and thank Charlotte and Ginger for their gracious hosting of this wonderful weekly post. You can find the button on my sidebar for both PS and SS.
This is a lovely painting of Monet. Doesen't the scene look tranquil, just setting doing handwork and the child keeping themselves busy. The colors are lovely for pink saturday.

This is a lovely mother and child painting by Monet. I agree with much of the art today being unattractive and sometimes just weird. Back in the day artists like Monet and his impressionist art was considered out of the box. Makes you wonder huh? I love your post and the Bible verse.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful blessed day.
Hugs, Jeanne
love the picture! What a gorgeous one you picked.
ReplyDeletethe piture reminds me of rest...resting in HIm. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteSuch a nice post.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Anne about the artists' eyes. I don't like what the arts look of today's style at all. I sure do like Monet, Rockwell and some of Van Gogh. Event Cartoons in newspaper and commercials are hideous. Thanks for sharing a beautiful art. Have a blessed day Sunday.

Hi Anne, I am with you - I do love Monet's work and I do prefer my art to look like art! :) Also, I spotted your previous post of prayer requests and am praying. Thank you for a delightful Spiritual Sunday full of words and verses of encouragement!
