SUNBONNET SUE FOR VINTAGE THINGY THURSDAY

 Please visit Suzanne at Colorado Lady here. She is hosting a special Vintage Thingy Thursday. In honor of our sweet friend CC who recently passed away I am posting some internet images of Sun Bonnet Sue. I am in the process of getting together with a dear friend of mine, Laura, and see if she can help me create a wonderful memory of CC. Laura, like CC is a quilter and a marvelous lady. I am not quite as unique and talented as most of my blogging friends here so bare with me. I am always smiling when I see Sun Bonnet Sue these days. I always thought she was a sweetheart and reminded me of Holly Hobbie  too. But now she will take on a whole new meaning. Thanks CC for your friendship and for your dedication to all your blogging friends.

    I really love all the Sunbonnet Sue photos...So cute...and you're right...they really do remind me of Holly Hobbie :) :) :) My favorite is the very last one...Sunbonnet Sue holding the mini quilt and that mini-crocheted lace heart ;) :) :) So cute!!! Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

    Hi Anne! I have a Sunbonnet Sue potholder that I sewed/made myself, and it hangs on the upper front of my refrigerator. It means MUCH more to me today, every time I glance at it, than it ever did before, because it reminds me of our dear friend CC!!! It does not make me sad though.. It makes me SMILE, and that was just CC's way, wasn't it?!!! (0; Have a nice day, and a wonderful weekend ahead! ((hugs)) ~tina

    What a wonderful tribute to your friend. Sunbonnet Sue is one of my favorite quilt patterns, My first quilt I made was a Sunbonnet Sue and I collect vintage ones as well. HUGS MARY
