I often eat my own words! Oh, they are not terrible or anything just always encouraging to someone going through a difficulty. Then there is myself! Oh, God and I talk. Yesterday I prayed through the entire day about the housing situation here, about the car holding out for us, about everything that stresses me and bothers me! I always ask for the top angels to surround my phamily. To sit at my side. I am never afraid to ask God! Then he says to me very quietly:
Dealing with Stress
Philippians 4:6-7Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (NIV)
I hope you thank Charlotte and Ginger at Spiritual Sunday. I did not get to visit like I wanted to last week. My head was still swirling from the hours of mountain riding in the car last Sunday. But this week I will do better. I love all of you and enjoy the insight I receive from all the different posts everyone puts up. I Know SS has a separate prayer blog and Denise over at her blog. But I would like to ask you to visit Annie here. Her unborn baby Ollie may have a health issue only God can handle. Please support this terrific family. Prayer is good but visiting Annie is better too because you can tell her you are praying and read over her blog. She is a special friend and I ask for prayer for the family
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be (Psalm 139:13-16).
As for me heeding my own advice, here is that answer:
Psalm 84:2-4
My soul yearns, even faints,
for the courts of the LORD;
my heart and my flesh cry out
for the living God.
Even the sparrow has found a home,
and the swallow a nest for herself,
where she may have her young—
a place near your altar,
O LORD Almighty, my King and my God.
I think God will help us find a house. Keep those prayers coming.
when difficulties come our anxiety is so quick to shows its ugly head wearing us down... when God demands us to be still and trust His heart.. for Him to finish the good He began. This post inspires me. Thank you for sharing. Praying for you and your family situation as i read your post.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Ruth

Many prayers going out to you and your friends,
ReplyDeleteJane
I agree with the others...He will provide. He promised. Sometimes it seems like He waits right to the time the crunch is about to happen and then voila....doors open....dreams realized...I think He does that to teach us not to doubt Him. Stay strong.....
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Sister, Love visiting with you and Stress..hmm something we all get isn't it. I love this little pearl by Max Lucado who reminds us that God is telling us...."Don't try to solve the problems of tomorrow today. You do not have enough strength for that. I give you just the right amount of strength today for today's issues and for tomorrow when the time gets here, I will give you the strength you need to handle the problems of that day". Oh course that is paraphrased but remembering it seems to take a load of worry from me. Love you, Mollye
ReplyDeleteDear Anne,
ReplyDeletePlease know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Rhonda
Anne - Like you, it is easy for me to encourage others when they are going through difficult times, but when it comes to my own...it's a different story.
ReplyDeleteIn writing this, I think of the verse found in Galatians 6:2 - Bear one anothers burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.
That is what the body is for - to lift up those within who are hurting.
Heading over to Annie's blog. (And you are in my prayers)
Blessings,
Joan
What a perfect time for me to visit your blog.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
Good Morning Sweet Anne...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful share today, and I believe you hit home for every one of us. We all deal with so much stress and like Miz Mollye said, "He gives us just enough strength to deal with each problem for each day. Tomorrow there will be enough strength for tomorrows issues. Gosh I love that.
I will pop over and say hello to Annie and be praying for her. Thank you for introducing me to her. I will be praying for you regarding the housing situation sweetie. Everything will work out. I am praying about the house two blocks from you. It doesn't matter how many love that house, God will find a way for you sweetie.
Have a beautiful week. I am keeping my fingers crossed and the prayer chain going for the cross-country team. Go Nick, Jerry and Des, you are all in my prayers.
Many hugs and SO much love, Sherry
Praying for you and your house situation.
ReplyDeleteI had to be reminded this week too about being anxious in my situation.

ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely post. We all benefit so much from Spiritual Sunday's. Have a blessed week.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad the Lord tells us to lay all our burdens upon Him. We are going through financial and health issues, but we know that God will provide.. He always does. Blessings to you...
ReplyDeleteYou have pointed out the best way to deal with stress. I have to keep reminding myself to not be anxious about anything because I have a tendency to be anxious about things. Thank you for this reminder. And, I will go visit Annie right now. Thank you for the link.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Charlotte
