F Is For Faith
When I thought about my Alphabe Thursday letter for this week there was only word that I could post about. Faith! It is was gets me by. It gets me through my days. It has sustained me when nothing else worked! Trying times seem to find my phamily. Fun wants to allude us and frenzied thinking wants to take over our lives. We have to keep the faith. We find that Christ and Him alone can finance our future which is where we want to be home- Heaven. Having been stressed out to the max trying to find a suitable home to move into we place our future in the Faithful One. He is helping us to find balance and finally peace in our lives as we wait for the perfect place to move into.
Please visit as many Alphabe Thursday posts are you can and thank our favorite teach Mrs. Matlock who pulls all the posts together.
Finally if you get a moment please watch my favorite Wednesday night show "Friday Night Lights". It is a family style show set in Texas and high lights high school football! You will love it!
That is one of the big F's. Father is another one.
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame that many people have lost the importance of faith in their life as evolution and technology drift us from the essentials of life
ReplyDeleteBeautiful rainbow photo for your beautiful Faith post :-)
ReplyDeleteYour Faith is Amazing! Your testament is inspiring! Nice rainbow photo to go with the Letter F post. It's neat that Friday Night Lights is your Favorite Wednesday night show.
ReplyDeleteSome Christians claim, "The Bible is all I need," but this notion is not taught in the Bible itself. In fact, the Bible teaches the contrary idea (2 Peter 1:20–21, 3:15–16). The "Bible alone" theory was not believed by anyone in the early Church.
ReplyDeleteIt is new, having arisen only in the 1500s during the Protestant Reformation. The theory is a "tradition of men" that nullifies the Word of God, distorts the true role of the Bible, and undermines the authority of the Church Jesus established (Mark 7:1–8).
Although popular with many "Bible Christian" churches, the "Bible alone" theory simply does not work in practice. Historical experience disproves it. Each year we see additional splintering among "Bible-believing" religions.
Today there are tens of thousands of competing denominations, each insisting its interpretation of the Bible is the correct one. The resulting divisions have caused untold confusion among millions of sincere but misled Christians.
Just open up the Yellow Pages of your telephone book and see how many different denominations are listed, each claiming to go by the "Bible alone," but no two of them agreeing on exactly what the Bible means.
We know this for sure: The Holy Spirit cannot be the author of this confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33). God cannot lead people to contradictory beliefs because his truth is one. The conclusion? The "Bible alone" theory must be false.
What a coincident! I also write about Faith for this week, and I found that we have similar thoughts. Wishing you luck in finding the perfect home..
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with your family!
ReplyDeleteAmen! I'm not saying I have a perfect life, but my faith guides me as I cope with what's been dished out, knowing that it's going to make me and mold me into who He has intended me to be. God is good, therefore life is good. Hey...that would make a great blog title....
ReplyDeleteTina @ Life is Good
