WALKING IN THE WAY OF THE LORD

There is nothing like a little stressful situation in your life to make you realize who the boss really is! I wake up in prayer and I fall asleep at night in prayer. But during the day we often get sidetracked with life. Yesterday was no exception. We thought we would be able to move into a beautiful rental home. Then the land lord, a used car sales owner, changed his mind. Have you ever bought a car and when you get down to the details of it all, the fight is on? That is what happened to us. If we had the kind of money he wanted up front we would probably be an heir to Bill Gates! Enough said.

So I claim this verse as my daily reminder "Teach me your way, O Lord; I will walk in your truth." Psalm 86:11

I feel like I need this  because I get caught up with everyone else in what is going on. Today we are going to see a beautiful house we drove and see if the lady will work with us and make a comfortable rental deal. It is three blocks from the fire station off a busy main road. It has a beautiful privacy fence and enough bedrooms for all of us. Pray for us. I hope you will not tire of me asking. I am bold when it comes to God and prayer together. I think it is a winning combination.

I was reading a little daily scripture that I read every single day and have since 1987 and I thought this analogy was terrific to break down God's word. There was a man who shot an arrow on the side of a barn. He walked up to the barn and painted a bulls eye around the arrow. It is so easy to get caught up in this world and trust our own instincts when in reality we know God's are on target.

I will leave you today on Spiritual Sunday with this verse " There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end is the way of death." Proverbs 14:12

Please stop by and thank Charlotte and Ginger for hosting this soul feeding Sunday fest. Go here to join us. Have a wonderful week.

  10. You are too sweet, for popping over with your love for my front porch. Sorry about the house and the landlord. It just means something better is waiting for you. I will most definitely say a prayer that things go in your favor with this one. It sounds like it would be a wonderful fit for your Phamily!

  18. As hard as it was to cope with - Its probably a good thing you had your disagreement with the "snake oil" saleman before getting locked into a rental agreement and a messy situation.

I hope you find the "right" place and soon!
