O is for Oh My Goodness!

I work for a doctor who was born and raised in the Midwest! He says things like "Holy Cow!" and since I have been working with him for nearly 8 years I started saying "Oh My Goodness". It is much better office fare than some awful words I learned from an ole cow poke of a CPA boss many years ago.

My parents were very humble people and I never learned any kind of inapppropriate language from them. I am often shocked listening to kids talk today. I would not be alive had I uttered such fowl language.

So today I am saying "Oh My Goodness, I am late for Alphabe Thursday! Please visit Jenny and tell her to go easy on me. I am having a tough week!

Oh My Goodness I need to rush out the door. Today is Nick's annual school eval. Wish us luck!

  2. What cute pictures. It seems fowl language is the norm these days. Sad.

  3. It's even worse when this old lady here gets mad but I am trying to watch it so nothing slips into these little precious ears that might be around.

  4. Holy cow isn't a normal expression? I speak that language too (Midwestern, not foul) ~ lol. Great baby photos! They make me smile. Take care, Connie

  7. I say those expressions all the time - and I am from the midwest - I didn't know it came from there. Cool.

  8. I use those words too! If I used the words kids do today, Mom would have grounded me for life! I hope you have a good weekend!

  12. You are not the slightest bit late!

    I'm sorry your week is going so yucky. Hopefully the weekend was better and Monday will be rosy...well, if not rosy then at least not quite so black!

    Your pictures are really precious. And the "Holy Cow" made me smile. Sometimes I even get all crazy here and say "Holy Cats"!

    Thanks for a outrageously sweet stop this week on our little journey through Alphabe-Thursday's letter "O".

    A+++++++++++

    And a giant hug!
