This is my nephew Charles in blue and his niece Shelby. Shelby is the daughter of my nephew Tony. She is fifteen. I have not seen a photo of her since she was a baby! Since my sis passed away I don't get the photo ops I like. Charles has a lovely wife Cheryl and she took this picture. Thank you Cheryl!
All summer long we walked and ran at this beautiful place. Now it is closed for an 8 million dollar facelift! We understand that a beautiful carousel will be out in place as well as a skate park. I have nothing against kids and skate parks but the noise will drive away all the beautiful wildlife, primarily birds and bull frogs! I think change is good but sometime not so much! This was a favorite blue photo I took there this summer. Now the snow is in the forecast...
A little Maxine to make you smile this morning. Now hurry over and visit Sally

The older I get I just want to "check out".... Buy a cabin with DH & "the Boyz" & retire off-the-grid!! No phone...no cell... no TV... no computer!! Just peace & quiet....
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh... Dare to dream!!

I hope the "face lift" can be a win/win for all concerned. Sometimes people need to leave well enough alone.
ReplyDeleteYour neice is beautiful.
Hope she is happy.
Glad you got the photo.
I adore Maxine. Thanks for sharing your blues.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blue Monday, Anne.
Gotta love Maxine:) Cute and true!
ReplyDeleteSweet picture of Charles and Shelby! I hope you get to see more of her:)
Have a blessed day dear friend! HUGS!
I find that sad that they are going to do that to the park. There are plenty of places for kids to play but, very few all nature places left. I hope everything goes okay. Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteSometimes it's best to just leave things as they are...sorry you're losing such a beautiful, peaceful place...with 8million I guess it will be pretty, just a different pretty...:-( Love Maxine !
ReplyDeleteHappy Blue Monday!
wouldn't it be great if that facelift included enhancing the use of that beautiful area. A place where people and families could come and hear the quiet....a haven from the noise of the world.
ReplyDeleteIndeed it is gorgeous ... sometimes change is not great, I agree.
ReplyDeleteHope this week is going to be a beauty for you, sweetie.
Hugs,
TTFN ~

I often think the word "development" means "destruction".
