I AM HURTING: THERE ARE NO WORDS FOR ME TO SAY!

This photo was taken last year when my Boots was a happy and healthy kitty. He passed away at 1:18 P.M. MDT Thursday March 16, 2012. He passed on the 7th birthday of his friend and companion Rose. There are no words I can say. I am hurting deeply.  So these are others words perhaps you would like to share here:

Grief is like the ocean; it comes in waves ebbing and flowing. Sometimes the water is calm, and sometimes it is overwhelming. All we can do is learn to swim. Vicki Harrison
The deepest feeling always shows itself in silence. Marianne Moore
...he trots the air; the earth sings when he touches it; the basest horn of his hoof is more musical than the pipe of Hermes. Shakespeare
...he is pure air and fire; and the dull elements of earth and water never appear in him, but only in patient stillness while his rider mounts him: he is indeed a horse... Shakespeare
No words that I can pen will ease the pain and the feeling of hopelessness that is the unavoidable companion to the death of a friend. And yet he hasn't gone away forever, for he will always live in your thoughts and your mind and be one of the best parts of the past. Earnest H. Hart

  3. Oh, Anne, I am deeply sorry about your sweet Boots. I do know the awful pain that the loss of a beloved pet brings and I hate so much that you are faced with it.
    Try to think of the many smiles he brought you over the years as you mourn his absence.

  4. I am so very, very sorry. I can't even imagine how you must be hurting. Our babies become such a major part of our life...they are our babies, they are family. My Charlie will be 12 in a couple of months and I am terrified of what will become of me when I come to that time. I've told everyone I will probably need to be committed somewhere. I love him so much, as I know you love Boots.
    I am sending you tons of hugs and love and pray you have strength through this time.

  9. Aw,Anne! I'm soooo sorry to read this.
    I think all of us who've love our fur babies are a little dimished right now.

    I'm not sure if this helps, but I took SO MUCH comfort and reassurance from reading "A Dog's Purpose." (Yes, I know your sweet Boots was a feline, but its message of love and loss is universal .... and makes me believe, their hearts DO go on.)

    Hugs,
    Myra

  11. We had to put down our family cat, Buddy on Wednesday morning. He was 16+ and had feline leukemia. It has been a tough week for our kids and us so we know how sad it can be. Take care!

  21. Oh Anne--I am so sorry! I know the pain of losing a beloved pet and friend. They are truly a member of our family and the pain of losing them is as intense as losing a person. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. You gave Boots a wonderful loving home and I'm sure he was happy right to the end. I know he is at the rainbow Bridge right now sunning himself. {{Hugs}}

  22. Oh, I am so sorry about your baby. We lost one of ours a couple weeks ago, and it hurts so much. Praying for your sorrow to pass. There is a little shop here that sells little stones to put in the garden with sayings on them, I will check into them for you. There are also little statues of kitties with angel wings for your garden.
