I am running late from posting as usual. I am hopeful soon I will be free of some stress and enjoy all things that make me happy very soon.
Nick did not have a good run yesterday. He ran in the four by eight and Nick is not a sprinter. He is a distance runner. He has already suffered from shin splints and yesterday runners cough that attacked his lungs and airway so severely he vomited! He was unable to run the mile or the two mile. We are hopeful once he is over Spring break he will be able to get back on track. He is still looking at colleges, primarily in Colorado and Kansas. We want him to end his high school years on a high note. We want him to run well and be strong and healthy.
I am having some difficulty loading my newest photos but here are few to share for Ms. Jenny and the Alphabe Thursday participates.
Nick was spiked at the meet on Saturday and he had a badly cut leg and his new running shoes were torn. What a nightmare. But he is doing better this week. If we can get him over this nasty runners cough.
My "R"letter today is for running.

ReplyDeleteGirl, know my prayers are with your handsome runner there! I do so hope he'll have a better week next week. Bless his heart!
ReplyDeleteGod bless and have an awesome weekend sweetie!!!
It's Friday...Woohoo!!! (Don't know why I did that, the Ponderosa is flooded and we have five watergates out and cattle scattered all over, we'll spend tomorrow roundin' 'em all up and fixin' fences.) Farm livin'.....
Keeping Nick in my prayers and hope he feels well in a jiffy! Have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteHello Anne, Poor Nick. He is having his troubles. Running does have side effects so I pray he is stronger and well enough to finish his school year with a happy ending. Finding a college is a bit stressful as well. Mine have finished with all of that thank goodness.
ReplyDeleteI like walking but of course I am old. HA!
Hugs, Jeanne
Sorry he is having a rough time... hoping the next leg will be better!
ReplyDeletePraying for Nick too and hoping he feels well soon!
ReplyDeleteAnn, sorry you are going through some bad times now. It sometimes comes to a point that you have make choices and perhaps go in a different direction. I realize running is important in Nick's life, but to me his health should take priority.
ReplyDeleteSending prayers to your Nick. sandie
ReplyDeleteYou think you are running late, geesh, I feel like I am in a perpetual time warp! Easter is two weeks away and I'm just now getting my decorations out of the attic. Great R word, now if I could just get myself running :) Have a great weekend, Nan
ReplyDeleteRunning is something I just don't do. Here's hoping your runner is back at his normal pace soon. Good luck with the college applications...
ReplyDeleteNick's had a rough "run" of luck lately it seems...
ReplyDeleteI hope dame fortune smiles on him soon!
Hope your son feels better. My son is in track as well. This is his first year although he is a junior. They have him running distance and he is not a long distance runner. He has been having trouble with his legs too. Hopefully he will get where he needs too.
ReplyDeleteVisiting from Jenny Matlock
I must admit I've never heard of runners cough, but hopefully by now it's gone!
ReplyDeleteOh no. Poor Nick! Coughing and spiked! Not a good time for the poor guy!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing your pictures, though...they brought back memories of when we met!
Thanks for sharing them!
