I like being unique! I know I am one of a kind! I am not being rude or arrogant. I know each one of us is as individual as each star in the sky or a grain of sand on a beach! So I wanted to use the word unique as my "U"word! I hope you will stop by Jenny's and join the Alphabe Thursday crowd.
13 For You formed my [a]inward parts;
You wove me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will give thanks to You, for [b]I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.
15 My [c]frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth;
16 Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;
And in Your book were all written
The days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them.
17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand.
When I awake, I am still with You.
Psalm 139:13-18
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
You wove me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will give thanks to You, for [b]I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.
15 My [c]frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth;
16 Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;
And in Your book were all written
The days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them.
17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand.
When I awake, I am still with You.

ReplyDeletebeautiful verses--one of my favorite passages.
ReplyDeleteUnique is wonderful. I have always felt unique and have been mostly glad about that.
When my son was a small child he was given to making some pretty profound little statements. One day we were talking about everyone being unique and he said "Each person is one of God's masterpieces." I just remember the look on his face - it was like suddenly he realized just how awesome he was and how great was God's work.
