My honey and I! Hee Hee! I have worn glasses since the fourth grade. When I find that school photo I can give all of you quite a scare! Those glasses were called "cat eyes" and they were brown with silver sparkly things all over them. I was quite a fourth grade nerd! LOL!
Linda from Prairie Flower Farm and I at her phamilies sweet market/coffee house last weekend. We both, as you can see, wear glasses, and are married to wonderful godly men.
When Nick was small he L O V E D Arthur! Notice his spiffy blue jeans? Perfect for Blue Monday.
We were getting new glasses one day , the girls and I . Nick was very small and looking over the children's eyeglass display. Next thing we know he turns around and proudly says, "look I'm Arthur!" He found the biggest, roundest glasses and slipped them on his face! It is one of those memories I will always treasure.
The clouds look very blue while the sun is setting. I take a lot of quick shots at stoplights etc. I am a very safe driver.
The road home was getting closer last Sunday when we left Kansas. It was a blessing as the bad weather came after we arrived home. My hubby was driving here.
Some thoughts as we enter the holiday season...It is important to remember that not everyone is surrounded by large wonderful families. Some of us have problems during the holidays and some of us are overcome with great sadness when we remember the loved ones who are not with us. And many people have no one to spend these times with and are besieged by loneliness. We all need caring, loving thoughts right now. If I don't see your name I will understand. May I ask my friends, ...wherever you might be, to kindly copy, paste and post this status for one hour to give a moment of support for all those who have family problems, health struggles, job issues, worries of any kind and just need to know someone cares. Do it for all of us, for nobody is immune.
Before I set off to play at Sally's I wanted to share a final blue. A blogger friend Michael and Face Book buddy posted this. It is a true fact and if you know someone hurting during the holiday season offer them your kindness.
Enjoy your week.

So true Anne. There are many less fortunate than we are and alone possibly hungry during the holidays. I enjoy your post. Seems we are just having a nice visit.
ReplyDeleteGot some pretty blues here, Anne.
ReplyDeletePrayers, thoughts and blessings to all...
Morning Anne,
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing today. You've given us a good bit to think about.
Happy Blue Monday!
Beautiful blues Anne! My Grandkids loved Arthur too:) Sweet little show! Enjoy your day dear friend, sending HUGS your way!
ReplyDeleteOur Kansas sky looks beautiful, today it is 19 degrees but we are getting a worm up on Sat. I'll be decorating the outside then for Christmas. Sorry to hear about your job--praying you find peace about the circumstance. So nice to meet up with Linda, sounds like you really had a nice visit.
ReplyDeleteAnn
Hope you have a wonderful Monday and no blue thoughts at all!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Linda
I enjoyed reading your post Anne what you wrote is absolutely true. And thanks for visiting my blue.. :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Anne, I love your post and your friend with you wearing glasses. The story of Nick and him playing Arthur with the glasses is so cute. These memories are so precious.
ReplyDeleteYou are right about many people not having loving families. We are blessed to have so much when others have so little. We do need to pray for such people and remember our blessings every day.
Hugs,
Jeanne

ReplyDeleteLike the blue sky. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI like Arthur too!! And Curious George (who would work if the "Blue" theme was swapped with "Yellow"!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's cute! I don't mind glasses at all. As soon as I needed reading glasses, I was so happy and that is 16 years ago!
ReplyDeleteYou both look so pretty. I love the evening photos.
Hugs,
FABBY
I actually post this on my facebook page just today. There are so many lonely people out there who are hurting. More suicides this time than any time. I know what it's like to be lonely and depressed. You may want to take a look at my other blog, The Upside of Down. I am doing better now. Hope your holiday is a merry one.
ReplyDeleteI was wearing glasses when I was in 4th grade and I had little cat eyed glasses too. But you were fancy with sparkles - I had no sparkles! :) You're so right, there are many that have a hard time around the holidays. God bless them.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for popping in to see me.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Arthur and glasses.....yep. My oldest watched Arthur all the time and I remember the one when he got is glasses. Great memory.
ReplyDeleteHello Anne,
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you stopped by. I meant to link up to Sally's party and I forgot. Oh well, there's always next time.
I started to wear glasses in grade one until I was thirteen. They were akin to pop bottles. Then I went without them unless I needed to see the board. Teenagers and their vanity, eh? Contacts were a huge blessing and I wore those until I developed cataracts. I was still fairly young when I got those. When I had those removed, I had intra-ocular lenses inserted into my eyes and now I wear readers only when I need them. I feel like I have been handed a miracle! I always believed I wouldn't see well until I got to heaven. God had other plans.
Have a wonderful weekend. Since next week is Thanksgiving, Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
Blessings,
Sandi
