My sister Mary has a Buck who loves her. He comes to visit everyday. I worry for all the wildlife when the weather is wicked. We are expecting a big snowstorm and so is my sis. I hope this deer phamily finds shelter during the storm. Please visit Aw...Mondays and leave some sunshine there.
My sis has a birthday today. Her name is Mary and we live about two hours away from each other. She has a birthday on the Labor Day holiday this year. I wish her many, many more years of good health and good cheer and watching her sweet great grands.
We are different but we come from the same beautiful garden. We had the best parents and we also had one older sister too.
Pat passed away in 2001. She was our big sis. She was our parents first child. We both miss her terribly. We have two brothers older than us too, Bill and Ed and one lives near her and one closer to me. So Mary is my birthday treasure today. We love baseball and it is our most common thread. We use to love to shop the thrift stores. But we don't get to see each other as often. Hopefully the winter will be mild but I am afraid it won't be. That way we could visit. So Happy Birthday Sister! Wishing you lots of love today and always.
I have never had luck growing roses. I am hoping there are folks that have some good tips to share. I had a Home Depot $17 rose bush and for three years it went crazy with beautiful blooms. We had an rose bush that was wild and about 4 four tall when we moved here 10 years ago. We cut it back and it bloomed for many years. This year, nothing. But the heat was miserable from June til today. Now a brutal storm is moving in. So who knows what will live and what will fade away. Love is...is so sweet today. He looks like me ha ha ha when I lose something precious to me.
I heard today that New Jersey is removing all signs of the American Flag. My husband read that a powerful CIA agent retired and said this has been in the planning for years and it is going to get worse. I am praying Jesus returns. His return would stop everything in it's tracks. I just will never understand why anyone in a free country wants to live under the rule of socialist government when we have seen the failures all through history and more recently countries like Venezuela. SO all I can say is C'mon JESUS!
Men of MLK Jr. are scarce today. He died for a cause which he strongly believed in. Regardless of what anyone thinks he loved America and he believed we all deserved to be treated fairly. WOuldn't he be disappointed to be alive today? Heartbreaking....
You do not need a genius mind to figure this one out. Hard work bears good fruit.
I am posting several Labor Day related quotes in honor of Annie.
Prayer is something I rely heavily on. I enjoy praying for others and I pray for myself and my loved ones daily too. God is always listening.
My mother use to tell me not to follow the crowd. Boy my mom was a smart person.
Since a snowstorm is headed my way I thought I'd share these flower gardens from our trip to Ya Ya Orchard yesterday. Except for the fires and the awful air and haze it was a wonderful time. There is a special aroma from that big yellow hose. I will share it tomorrow.
Their gardens are so pretty and they have some farm animals and also the best apple products. Sigh....
Just a few photo shares of the gardens. Tomorrow I will add ore fun info. It was a good trip and just about 30 minutes away from our house.
You may stop by Tata's Cottage too if you please. I am always catching up but appreciate each and every comment and thoughtful person who visits. THANK YOU !

ReplyDeleteI am so sad the direction of this is country is going if the dems keep pushing. I really don't want to discuss it, you already know how I feel anyways.
Thank you for your post/comment on my blog. I will answer you, right now, I am just trying to play catch up on todays posts. smiles
That buck visiting is very cool! We read a story the other day that said New Jersey is the most unpopular state, no wonder.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Mary. How awesome that the buck comes to see her every day. I love nature. So sad about New Jersey. You have a wonderful day my friend, hugs, Edna B.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Mary! I never had a sibling, but have been very blessed with friends who feel like sisters. That visiting buck is so cool; I always grow concerned for God's creatures when severe weather threatens. Forest fires, too. I want to tear my hair out some days, but have to remember God is in control.
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Birthday to your sister. XO
ReplyDeleteTrying to catch up on blogs, i got sadly behind when i was cat-sitting.
