P H A M I L Y

Until Nick gets some answers to why he is so ill, I am going to try to blog but not do the different blog hops. It helps keep my mind busy but I do not want to commit and be disappointed. He was admitted to the hospital last night. He spent several hours at the ER after having a chest XRay and two different CT Scans. Today two specialists were going to review his case. Prayer is greatly appreciated. He was tested a total of four times for the virus and all four times he has been negative. Something is making him sick and he would like to be home where he can get some rest. But he said they are treating him really well and everyone has been very nice to him.

Waiting is the most frustrating part of all of this. Although we know doctors are busy, I worked with them, over 32 years,  They are never that busy that they can not give the phamily information that is crucial to the patients healing process.

A good friend of mine contracted the virus along with her spouse and child. They all recovered although the process was slow. Her dad was ill too. It took him longer to heal but he is getting better each day. Her mom however, is the most physical fit of all of them and she was hit the hardest and still struggling to get well.

Nothing about illness, no matter what it is, is easy. Nick ran from the 7th grade and continuing through his college days, 2012-2017. He kept up another year and then sort of stopped running. He has been in very good physical condition so this is so baffling.

Another friend and her husband, a pastor are trying to get well from the virus. The difference between them and Nick is that Nick works from home. From his sleeping quarters in his bedroom to his little office in his sister's old bedroom. My belief is so many have the virus because like Agent Orange, during the Vietnam era, it is truly in the air people breathe. I often hear people say science knows what they are talking about. I worked with scientists. They are the ones who told us in the front office over and over run in the opposite direction of where some so called experts are telling you to go for this wonder drug, that wonder cure, a shot that will cure your ailments. You know who knows all the answers, only God Himself!

Of course this virus is real, you are truly uninformed if you do not believe it. But it is also all over the place. The hubby and I have been tested too. We had no symptoms but the hubby needed proof to show his boss. We are negative. Negative, negative. Nick has been negative every time too. Tested at three different sites. Nothing seems to add up. It is quite baffling.

Here we sit, learning why patience is so important in our lives. No word from the doctor as I type these words.

Nick's BFF is a police officer. He is constantly tested for the virus and he is extremely healthy. The attack on people with disease, regardless what fancy title they give it, is difficult. The road to recovery is a long one. Be safe and please pray.

I do not want to forget this important person in our lives. Please pray for Tarrah and baby girl as her due date is March 12th and she is currently hospitalized so they may stop an early delivery.  We have learned to roll with the punches life kicks at us. Faith is what is key. Without it we would all walk around like zombies on  a T.V. series.

My final words here today, pray for all who have lost loved ones to the virus and to all other illnesses, accidents and other tragedies of this world.  Pray for all recovering and pray this will all end in good health and good times in the very near future.
