Happy Tuesday and More

Happy Tuesday celebrating all animals today! Animals have a way of bringing happy smiles to sad faces. I know many of you love cats best of all, others dogs, some of us love them both and others yet have other favorites, horses, rabbits, goats, chickens, the list is endless.

Did you know chickens and pigs are not suseptible to the virus we are dealing with? I Just wanted to share that fact.

Horses have a sense that helps the hurting. They have a built in kind of radar that gives them extra kindness to those in need of it.

Cats are owned by NO ONE! They are independent and ornery as a one year old toddler. They just do their own thing.

Dogs are loyal. They are true to their owner although many feel they are not owned but many people feel they owe dogs their good mental health. I think cats have this special power too.

I know chicken owners who are on a personal first name basis with their chickens, particularly the laying hens. No one has much to say about roosters. They have some tendencies to bully others.

Where I live, in a suburb, you can raise chickens and you can raise honey bees. Many people raise chickens and always have a supply of fresh eggs.

We can always reminisce about Tuesday Show and Tails from years gone by. Many bloggers have left in favor of social media sites and others stopped for personal reasons and some have passed away. I really miss the early days of blogging. It was fun visiting and commenting and enjoying so many different styles and themes that different bloggers had.

Maxine has opinions about everything and she is usually right on. that dog always looks so confused.

Dr. Seuss would celebrate his 117th birthday on March 2, 2021. He has been an endearing figure to many of us throughout the years . I don't get into the ridiculous tirades of attacking such beloved characters. Nothing is sacred in today's world. But for me, I wish Dr. Seuess a Happy 117th Birthday and wish I could personally thank him for him for the books he wrote. They are timeless classics and will forever be held near and dear to me. Reading should be part of everyone's life.  Love Dr. Seuss for all the laughter and poems and joyful moments he gave us.

  1. Such interesting things about different critters we liked it. Cats are a lot more complex if you have lived with one or several they are loyal and caring but in a very different way. Great post and happy Seuss day

  2. Chickens and pigs can't get covid? That is something I didn't know! Yes, in the last few years blogging has suffered. But a bit more people are posting since Covid now.

  3. You have written some cool facts!

And I love your prespective on Dr Seuss! I have a huge box full of all of his books that we collected when our wee ones needed a 'read me a book' time!

    Happy Dr Seuss Day!

  6. I love all animals, but I do tend to favor the dogs and cats. I love the tidbits of information about them. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.

  9. Interesting factoids about these animals. Not just horses, but I've heard the sweetest stories about so-called 'dumb animals' (not!) ability to comfort. Our girls' vet has a rescue cat, Hazelnut, that will go position herself up against another animal who may be sedated for one reason or another.

Must confess I've never read any of Dr. Seuss' books, but I love all these harmless celebrations. This old, sad world needs more innocent silliness.

  10. Happy Dr Seuss Day. He sure had some wonderful books! We also agree that we miss the early days of blogging. It has all changed so very much, but we still enjoy it. We miss old friends, many have quit or their pets have passed as have our Emma and Katie, but we like to blog, so we keep going.

  12. Read him to my kids! Read him to my grands! If I'm lucky enough to get little "greats", will read him to them, too!
And perhaps it's now time to start reading his magical tales to all the animals I know!
    Sweet posting.
    Happy Dr Seuss Day!

  13. I enjoyed reading this post, and the cool animal facts--some of which I knew, but a couple I didn't (like chickens and pigs can't get COVID). And I too wish Dr. Seuss a Happy Birthday! I think his books are great--and didn't realize until recently that he did his own illustrations as well. What a talented guy.
