I am posting some random pictures. We had to take a couple quick trips home to Pueblo and the kids were restless. They aren't todlders either! But we got some great shots.
Here goes:
My pretty hand stitched find from the thrift store for $1! I am going to have it re-framed as my friend will show me how to launder it so we can stretch it on a new frame! I am apprehensive but she is an old pro!
This is Matt. He is my nieces youngest son and he is posing at my sister's house with Bumblebee one of the three kitties she inherited from her granddaughter.
This cute guy is Gizmo. Isn't he sweet? Photogenic too.
This is Chompers. He is very shy. In the background is my sister's new super huge wood dining table that her daughter found for F R E E on Craiglist! Lucky sissy!
This is my late Ta Ta's house. Tata is SLOVEnian for Aunt. The house is on the flip side of my sister's home. I wish I had money to buy it. My Tata's grand daughter owned this house and her husband has cancer so they are selling to keep their bills paid! I have so many memories here. My Tata let me braid her long hair. I miss those memories so much.
The evening sky from our car window traveling North on I-25 from Pueblo.
My white Veranda plate does not do my topping justice! My sis created this yummy topping for burgers and dogs. Just slice an onion thin and add fresh or canned mushrooms and a few whole mild chili peppers. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and some oil and cook in a foil envelope on the grill or in a casserole on the oven or microwave. Yummy!
Some yummy sweet refreshing watermelon after a big day of 4th of July festivities! Yummy!
Old Glory at the front of the Mexican market we often shop at.
Flags on the world at the Mexican Market!
Don't bother the father while he is driving in four lanes of fast moving Denver traffic!
The momma and her baby girl!
The papa and his little middle girl!
Sisters!
Brother J and the little middle sister!
The little, the middle and the baby!

ahhh, what a beautiful family you have. I loved seeing all these photos.
ReplyDeleteWe lived, for about a year, a long long looooong time ago, in a tiny town in the mountains, about 40 miles or so from Pueblo...and loved every single minute of it. My hubby was on a job there and the kids were little...so we bought a small mobile home and moved there with him. Just closed up our home in Texas for that year.
Beautiful family!! Love the stitched piece so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your pictures and your memories. You'll still have your sweet memories even if the house does sell. You have a beautiful family!
ReplyDeleteSherry @ A Happy Valentine
Hello..thanks for visiting me today! Your Family is lovely and I hope you had a wonderful July 4th weekend! Take care.
ReplyDeleteWanda
Looks like you all had a wonderful adventure. I can just image how much you wish you could by that house!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Oh Anne, you have the nicest family. I know exactly what you mean about the house and the memories. I wish I had my grandmothers house in Sacto. It was very small and built in the early 1900's.
ReplyDeleteI don't know where the time has gone. I have done little blogging this past couple of weeks and am trying to catch up. I am afraid that will never happen at this rate. We are all having the family over for a bar b que today instead of yesterday. Busy life as I am sure all of you are too.
We make the yearly treck to Colorado Springs each year, yep highway 40 east to I25 north. Been there girlfriend and yep, done that. So happy to hear from you, I will try and get back before too long for a visit, stay safe, Char
You do have a lovely family! I'm glad that you had fun getting together with your family for the 4th. Your nephew looks like he is strangleing the cat in the first picture! lol I know he's not but it is funny.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your aunt's house. I'd like to make a suggestion if I may? I would take pictures of the inside of it and possibly even take some videos of it so that you can have those to look at when you are thinking of your aunt. She must had been a very special lady to you.
Hugs,
Angela
Hi Anne, These are wonderful photos...I loved looking at every single one!!!...Oh, those kitty cats sure are cute!!!!
ReplyDeleteI sent you an email...not sure if you got it or not. I've had some rogue virus attack my computer...so for the moment I'm not answering emails from anyone...at least not for awhile...I wasn't sure if you'll read this first before checking email... Love all your posts and when you write!!!!....just upset about my computer. Everything seems to be in working order now. Okay...enough of that...
Again, thanks for this post...you have a beautiful fmaily...beautiful kitty cats...and the other photos...really cool to see what makes your heart glad!!!! Much love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)
Beautiful kitties! That Gizmo sure looks a lot like the Gizmo I had back in the early-mid 1990s. I miss that little fella!
ReplyDeleteRandom photos rock!!! Especially these. :-)
ReplyDeleteAwwww I wish you had the money to buy your "Ta Ta's" house too. What a sweet cottage, even without the memories.
Gentle hugs...
And wow, that evening sky out the car window photo!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteA very nice post honoring your family. Wat a great bunch you have. That is a shame someone cannot keep that darling little house.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a wonderful time! Family time is so precious.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Leann
Hi Anne,
ReplyDeleteLovely family you've got there! Looks like you had an awesome time!
Sparkly hugs,
Tobi and the Pixies!
I really like that sky. It is great to get one from a moving car.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely find from the thrift store! I hope it can be cleaned. I found a large embroidered scene of the Lord's Supper at a garage sale. It is old, from at least 1945. I'd like to wash it, but am so afraid it would bleed.
Hope you're having a great week.
Loved all the pics and meeting your family. You are blessed indeed.
ReplyDeleteOh Anne, the button she created is super fun and cute. What a good job she did! Thank you for spreading the word. You are so kind!
I hope they lick that cancer...
ReplyDelete:( must be sad to have to sell a home (not a house, a home) because of that...
On a happier note, I enjoyed all the pictures! The cats look exceptional!
And you and your girls are so pretty!
What a great post. I enjoyed seeing your TaTa's home. I wish you could buy it too...what a charming home it is.♥
ReplyDeleteTell me about this Mexican Market?? It looks very large. I'm a curious soul. :0)
Have a wonderful day,
Stephanie ♥
Lovely family - thanks for sharing. sandie
ReplyDeleteAnne,
ReplyDeleteGreat looking 'phamily'! I love your hand stitched find from the thrift store for $1! Lucky you.
It's always sad to hear of someone suffering with an illness but that is doubled when that causes financial hardship as well.
We hit temps of 102 here (NJ) YUCK!
