MY CASEY

Hello and welcome to Tuesday's Show and Tail! Please stop by Angela's.  Thank her for hosting this fun Tuesday fare!

Today I have a friend who I loved very much. His name was Casey and he was a cockapoo.  I received him as a gift from my sis for our wedding anniversary. He was the neatest little dog and he became my best buddy. He stayed with me through the loss of my unborn baby Rachel and he was always at my side when I had those awful neuro surgery's. He really understood me and one day in May 1991 he disappeared. He had just gotten groomed and he looked like a million bucks! I have never gotten over the loss of losing him. I think because I don't know if  someone took him in or if he were killed by a car. I looked for him in vain for a long time and my heart still aches when I think of him. He was a friendly fellow and he always knew home to make me smile.

Here are a couple pictures of him in his hey day.

He was the sweetest little dog and I have never found any pet after him to love me the way he did. Thanks for sharing this pet with me today and please visit all the Show and Tail participates.

Extra love and hugs, Heather :)

  3. Such a sweet dog and so full of love! It is so hard when they disappear and you always wonder. We lost Emily (our Calico cat) last summer and I miss her so much and hope she was taken in somewhere but I fear the worst. Still they live in our hearts.

  4. Oh, what a terrible heartbreak. The not knowing is more than anyone should have to endure. He was so beautiful though I think you can easily believe that he was taken in by a loving family and cared for with grace and deep love.

Thanks for your visit...so glad to hear from you today! I've been working on getting my knee replacement leg better so haven't been posting as much as I'd like.

But I'm sending you BIG HUGS today!

  5. Casey was so handsome that I really think that someone took him to be their own. That is just an awful thing for someone to do but I really feel that is what happened to him.

I love the pictures of him! He was smiling! He really looked like a sweetheart.

Thanks for sharing Casey with us this week. I hope you can find some peace about your loss of him.

  8. Sad that you will most likely never know what became of him - and can only hope he was adopted by someone that loved him.

Its hard - you have so many positive, happy memories of him - and I'm sure its those memories he would want you to focus on... as any treasured pet (and especially a faithful dog) would.

  9. I am still reeling from the loss of my Kramer a year ago, nobody loved me like Kramer. At least you didn't have to put your Casey down. I still wonder to this day if maybe he would have survived his sudden illness and made a miraculous recovery. I am new to your blog and just love it.
