BLUE MONDAY: BECAUSE I AM BLUE!

Some Hawaiian waterfalls here. Just for you! Look at that blue sky!
Blue skies on the road to Gunnison. It is a favorite place I love to travel to and once I am on the other side of the mountain I like it there!
A share from a Facebook friend. I know we all feel troubled at times. But even with the blue waters Christ is there to hold us up and travels safely along with us in our lives.
I am very proud of Jeremy. Pictured here(navy blue shirt) with former Denver Bronco Terrell Davis (he was promoting his barbeque sauce). Jeremy recently graduated from college, is not teaching but found a nice job with his big sis Noelle at an insurance co. The benefit package is nice and he has high hopes to advance. He thinks he would like to be an insurance underwriter.
I hope you will visit Sally and the blues over at Blue Monday. I am blue cause my baby boy is going to be leaving on that jet plane August 14th. The moving process to his college went well. I will post later. The weather was S I Z Z L I N G 1

  2. That is the way life is. We have them, raise and take care of them, but they must move on. You will do fine. Stay busy with your mind occupied. If you want to know what hot is, come to Texas.

  6. I love seeing the color blue but not feeling it. So sorry that your baby will be leaving the nest. It is tough but what a great feeling to know that he had you to help him spread his wings.

  14. Thank you for stopping by the shop, Anne. Love your blues, especially that pic of Hawaii taking me back to 1987 when my husband and I visited. It is even dreamier in person and the blue skies background against the emerald green fields are unreal.

Wishing both of your boys (they're always our boys), Jeremy and Nick, many blessings in their new seasons. You'll make it, college mama. I did. Even though our son came back home after one college semester to continue his studies near home instead, it was still quite the experience to live in South Florida and drive him up to Boston. God saw us through and He will see you through too.
    Keeping you in my prayers.
    XOXO's,
    Marcia

  16. Gorgeous sky colors!!! And beautiful clouds there too.

A Denver Bronco?!!!! Be still my heart...I'm a Bronco fan [lived nearly 50 years in Colorado, now a retired "Texan"]

Wish the team still had Terrell and Elway and Ed McCafery [spelling?]. Ahhhhhhh, the good old days.

  17. Hi Anne, Thank you for your sweet comments. You are so kind and sweet.

It is always hard to send our children off to college. it is a huge step and it is scary. We have to trust that all we have taught them helps them make good choices and study hard. Believe me they have living away from home adjustments to make. I am positive your son will do great with parents like you and your dh Anne.

Love the blue skies on your road trip.
    Hugs, Jeanne

  21. It's so, so hard when they go. I feel for you. Do your best to not be blue. There are great things ahead for you, as you have more "me" time.

Thank you so much for the great comment on my blog (and I apologize for taking SO long to reciprocate!). So great to "meet" a fellow albeit former Coloradan. Two of my sisters and one brother live in Pueblo. Which means I have LOTS of nieces and nephews there, too. I appreciate you visiting Grandma's Briefs and look forward to getting to know you better!

Stay cool and enjoy the weekend!

  22. Just reread your comment and you're not a FORMER Coloradan! You live near my daughter. :D All the better!

    Cheers! And still, stay cool!
