This is a Better Homes and Garden cottage. Who doesn't love a quaint cottage with a white picket fence? One block from my home in my neighborhood is a house with a white picket fence. I love walking by that house. It always makes me smile.
This is a precious fairy cottage. It is quaint and look at the wooded area behind it. Beautiful. I could do a lot of reading here.
This sweet poem was found at pinterest but is also seen at poemfarm.amylvd.com
I decided to use a simple word for the letter "Q". I chose "quaint". Please stop by Ms. Jenny's and join in the Alphabe Thursday fun!
Love that first cottage! And the second one! And I want to live in the fairy cottage! I grew up with a white picket fence -- I was elected as the one to trim the grass from around the pickets -- not so much fun!
ReplyDeleteI like your Quaint cottages, Anne. I am sure that Peter Rabbit lived in, near, or under one like those.
ReplyDeleteHis mother, Beatrix Potter, had a larger home for a work house writing and gardening, near Lancashire, U.K. We visited it, yours reminded me of her and our visit.
..
Wonderful! I love the magic of these little houses, beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteLove to look at cottages also. Lovely little poem that I am saving.
ReplyDeleteOh wonderful pics and post for Q ~ Love the quaint cottages ~
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend to you,

Nicely presented...love the poem♪ http://lauriekazmierczak.com/plane-views/
ReplyDeleteLove a QUAINT little cottage! I would like to stay in one of these:) Enjoy your day dear friend, HUGS!
ReplyDeleteI dream of a white house with a wraparound rocking chair porch, and gingerbread trim! And definitely a white picket fence.
ReplyDeleteYou used pinterest very well. I tend to forget about it. So many neat things on it tho.
ReplyDeleteI just love these quaint little cottages. What fun it would be living in one of these. A little patch of garden, some green grass and a picket fence to keep it all in place. Perfection.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing that would make these cottages even better would be if they were beside a pond. Oh my, just think of the beautiful sunrises and sunsets we could see from our little porch. Sighhhhhhhhh!
The next best thing is having a screened in porch to sit out on with a morning cup of coffee and my little dog beside me.
I may seriously have to give some thought to building a little screened porch on the side of my house. Pogo and I enjoy this little porch so much.
Today will be another lazy day to give my legs a rest so that maybe tomorrow we walk around another flea market. I love flea markets!
Meanwhile, I have almost finished the afghan I have been working on here, and had time to leisurely read a couple of books on my tablet.
Life is good. I hope you have a beautiful dsy, hugs, Edna B.
Nice seeing someone that prefers a smaller home - seems like a lot of folks here just "have to have" McMansions...
ReplyDeleteI love quaint cottages also....always wonder who is living in them! Warm hugs, Esther
ReplyDeleteThis is my idea of quaint, too, Anne. One of these days I will have that white picket fence. Maybe a cottage too.
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love the second cottage! The fence is the perfect finishing touch. I could picture myself living there!
