WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

I am not much for Wordless Wednesday but I love words! But here is something to hopefully give you a wordless moment:
Bridal Veil Falls near Telluride, Colorado.
This smaller falls also Bridal Veil, is near Idaho Springs, Colorado. It is about 40 minutes from my house in good traffic (LOL LOL LOL). We have too many people here in my once beautiful state. Like everywhere, there are laws protecting these natural wonders and many of them you can not view without a prior reservation.
In the winter you can walk up to the closed trail at Hanging Lake but the scenery just off the highway is simply stunning. It is a difficult hiking trail but the end result is simply breathtaking. If you plan to hike, you need a reservation. Same goes for Glenwood Springs hot springs pool. Annoying that so many people disrespect nature. You do not want me to step on my soap box about plastic straws. It's ugly! Having visited both the Pacific and Atlantic Ocean in our country as well as the Gulf of Mexico and the Mississippi River, I Have never tossed trash into any of these waterways. Nor will I ever! Trash belongs in trash cans and if people do not believe me here is a gentle reminder:
A childhood friend like Smoky the Bear  to remind us to be kind to nature, and one of my favorite reminders is a powerful one:

I love all the beautiful things in nature. But I know who created them and therefore I worship Him. Sometime I feel overwhelmed thinking how God loved the world to create all these  beautiful things for us to enjoy.

Here they are in 2011.      Time flies by but the love of phamily stays strong.

  1. I LOVE Colorado, but had never heard of these falls. So sad what mankind's carelessness is doing to our beautiful country.
When I was working, I can't tell you how many times the golfers left their fast-food bags, beer cans, etc. laying in the parking lot, the grass, etc. OK, all golfers might not have that 'entitled' mindset, but knowing how hard our grounds staff worked to keep the place pristine, it made me furious.
