FRIDAY

Hoping your weekend will be filled with goodness, thankfulness and kindness.
Garfield, the comic strip cat has a message for you today. If you live in the USA- Happy 4th of July! Wherever else you may live, may goodness, kindness and love follow you through all your days. Visit Feline Friday and share a favorite feline too.
My answers to those Friendly Fill- In's:

1. My plans for the weekend include spending time with my phamily.

2. I love fireworks displays but don't like the illegal ones so many still use.

3. I'm grateful I have the freedom to move about freely currently. I am saddened by the fact that it won't be long before we are under a different government, one where the people will no longer have freedom.

4. Love and respect makes a house a home.

Nostalgia for old time programs like "The Pink Panther". Visit Pink Saturday and share your pink too.
Christ Himself wants us to be free.
I miss my baseball. This man was a pitcher and his philosophy really was quite simple. My father knew so much about the golden years of baseball and man like this, who played simply because of their love of the game. I have always admired Satchel Paige. What a remarkable man he was.
Visiting our youngest daughter and her husband in Western NY this rest area was so much fun. Indoors and out you could take some great photos and we did. I wish my state had such cool rest areas.
This sweet girl celebrated her birthday today. Although she lives far away across the country we got to Face Time with her and wish her a happy 29th birthday.
Here is the dock at their pond. They worked together putting this in place.
Hannah and Jake at Babcock State Park this past February in West Virginia. They love visiting state parks.  Do you like to visit state parks?  If so, where have you traveled to visit them?
With our girl at Niagara Falls State Park in Western NY this May 2020.
Happy birthday to our Hannah Elizabeth this July 3 2020. My father had a brother, Frank who was born on July 3, 1915. He was a small boy when he passed away on October 27, 1918. He passed away from Influenza. I don't have a photo of him but when I was younger I know my grandparents had photos of both their sons (Joseph and Frank) that died during childhood. From what I have read about 500 million people worldwide were infected by Influenza and about 50 million passed away. 675 ,000 were in the USA. My grandparents other children were born in 1907, 1909, 1911, 1913, 1915 that were alive at this time in history. Four of the children and their parents all survived the Influenza epidemic. They had four more daughters after 1915.

  1. We enjoyed your fill-in answers, well, except for #3 and sadly it's true. Happy Independence Day from all of us!

  2. Happy Birthday blessings lifted to Hannah Elizabeth! That's a precious long-ago picture! I don't know if it's because we can't, but I'm itching to travel here and there and everywhere. The only State Park that comes to mind was one where we stopped in Mississippi while moving. Lawdy, the magnolia blossoming trees looked almost too perfect to be real ...like something out of a movie set. And you think I paused to take a photo? Stoopid!
    Happy Independence Day Robinson phamily!

  7. It is sad to think this country may not be free for long, but as i was telling someone earlier, in this world Jesus promised us trouble, and also that He has overcome the world so we are to cheer up. That's the only way to get through dark times, as you know.

Hope you are having a fabulous 4th!
