PINK SATURDAY

My goodness does time fly! Last weekend we were helping my sister-in-law and brother-in-law get a $30 off coupon for their new water heater! We had installed one the weekend before! This weekend we need another coupon for us! Our C-trap is backing up! Darn trees! Waiting on the plumber, sigh, such a wonderful weekend!
I am joining Jenny Matlock to see who can have the most things go wrong! Laugh Out Loud! I say this with a smile because what else can we do? I am way too old to sit around and cry over things I really have no control over! I am grateful the hubby, my Sweets, is a good budget maker! He can really make things work! So I am using my 2012 word daily here,  'grateful'. Grateful to have the ability to get up, go to work and earn enough money to take care of the daily routine we call life! Grateful we can have decent credit to make these larger home repairs! Grateful we paid off all our credit cards recently after living very frugally for many, many months!
So in joining with Beverly and the Pink Saturday crowd I am sharing a photo of our crab apple tree from last Spring! The pretty pink flowers bloom and make me smile each day!
Here is a pink shirt I love to wear:
The saying on it says it all!
Now I hope you will have a wonderful weekend and know how much I truly love each and everyone of you that visits me and know my blog world would not be complete without you!
Stop by and visit Beverly and all the wonderful pinkies who join us each week.
If anyone can give me any advice on this new linky business I would appreciate it! The site tells me I already registered but won't accept my info, user name and password. Twice I sent a request and twice nothing has been done! I am a little nervous as I know the google reader is going to be gone soon and I do not wish to lose contact with any of you!

  2. Good for you! I think frugal is the mantra of many of us even though at times I read blogs and just totally am amazed at the spending.

Good luck with your water heater.

    Happy Pink Saturday!

  4. I LOVE that shirt..how true it is!! I was almost at the point where I had my credit cards paid off..almost there...so close I could taste it! Then I was let go at the bank and depended on those darned cards for gas and other things. I start a new job next week, after a year and a half of searching, and the first thing I want to do is get rid of those cards!!!

  5. love that t-shirt! It is so cute and boy is it the truth. Of course, a mama is only as happy as her saddest child. My mom used to say both of these things.

I am learning to be frugal and thrifty. I am not as good as my mother was but I am learning.

I hope you are having a good day.

  6. I've been sick Anne, so sorry. Just go to my Linky & follow that somehow ... it actually was pretty easy but I don't remember how I did it.

Love Is... will be up on Monday, sweetie.

  7. Trees are great to have, but can cause root problems. I had to have one cut back where a limb was growing into my house. That was not cheap.

  13. Great pinks! Oh, I hope that your can get everything all fixed quickly and frugally! I too am grateful that Troy and I recently made the last payment on our last outstanding debt last month! woohoo!Living thrifty is so vital to us. We can still have fun and get things but, not at the cost of debt. I actually enjoy educating myself everyday on new to me ideas regarding where I can save some money here or there. Or how I can earn a little here or there. It's just a way of life. Have an awesome Sunday!

  16. LOL enjoyed your good humor blog....frugal ...uhmmm yes that would describe me...but sometimes you look at the $1.00 and you say, how can it stretch to all places needed....and then you say, Oh I have need of uhmmm what can you buy for a dollar okay put it in the single dollar jar ...it is adding up quickly I might say ....instead of putting pennies and nickles ....start a dollar jar...if you have one dollar left over after all your spend....then spend it in the dollar jar and watch it grow to 2, 5, 10, 20, 50....watch it grow

  19. Your shirt saying is so true, Anne! I'm sorry that you've had a string or house problems lately. I know how that feels as my house is 80 years old and creaks like its age..lol. I'm saving for a new washing machine as mine is leaking.
