IS MONDAY OVER YET?

Today was one of the worst days ever! Arriving early at work I found the phones ringing off the wall, a telltale sign that perhaps the phones weren't transferring to the weekend answering service. Forty eight patients later I left with a terrible sinus headache! LOL! I work for the ENT doctor and can't get an appointment with him!

I feel like I am falling behind with all my goals. I was planning to do a weekly menu and had good intentions to start last Monday. But I am still trying to get over the holiday schedule that often throws a wrench into our day to day plans. Sometimes working in a super busy office has its downfalls But I am always grateful to have a job even though when I am at home sorting laundry or cooking I am most happy. I daydream about how I would like to just be here all day for the phamily. I have never been a career minded gal and I am way too old to change my mind now. I long for those days when mom's were able to stay home with the phamily while the husbands went out to work. What a different world we live in.

Just a quick note to thank everyone again who joined me on my blog and I look forward to visiting with all of you. I am tickled Gwen won my first giveaway and I want to tell everyone that I am thinking about another one. A pair of red heart shaped ramekins perhaps! Hmmm....

My Giveaway Debut

Ta Da! At long last I am posting a pic of my giveaway! I had to use my short but sweet daughter Rebekah to model the cute brown polka dotted apron(half) my friend Alyn whipped up for me in record time! Thanks Alyn! You are a doll! I am also including a box of Good Earth Chai Tea and a package of Honey Sticks (made in Colorado, of course =). I also have a bag of Dark Dove Chocolate to share (or not!.:)

Think Pink! It's Pink Saturday

I want to thank Beverly for being such a super lady and hosting these Pink Saturday's! I have tons of pink throughout my house but I was having some difficulties with my digital camera and not getting the light just right! So I decided to do a Pink Saturday dedicated to my favorite cartoon and movie character "The Pink Panther".

The Pink Panther cartoon character is always up to something and is so sleek and pink! There is no other like this creature and he certainly does not resemble a panther in the wilderness. He actually is his own person (panther)! I love it!

Inspector Clouseau is just the classic comedic genius. The late Peter Sellers portrayed this character in his movies with such comic genius it is hard to find anyone like him to relate to today.

Getting Organized

I was reading blogs which I love to do at least every few days and I came across Missy's blog Missy's Thrifty! Like Missy I have 5 children but I checked her blog and found her New Year's goals which include sticking to a weekly menu plan. I think I will try it! We usually cook on Sunday and have three meals to get us through the week including leftovers. But I like this idea. I also like the Meatless Monday. Very clever.

I am going to start fresh next Monday and I will post to let you know how it is working for me. I am going over to Missy's to thank her for this practical idea.

I am geared up to post more recipes and I need to get into my healthful ones as well as the desserts and old phamily favorites.

I am also working on a post for my giveaway which I will pick a winner from the list on Sunday 1-10-2010. I am a little backward but will make it worth the while of all of you you have stopped by to join me and I will do another giveaway down the road. I love giving things to people. So keep watching because I will post a picture.
