Happy Tuesday and More

Sweetie Pie is a 14 year old Percheron She use to be in a hitch traveling around the US in competition.  She was retired 10 years ago and came to live at YaYa Orchard as a brood mare. She  is the kindest old soul one could ever meet and the boss of the barnyard. She is one classy lady. Please visit Happy Tuesday and as always I like to remember the days of Tuesday Show and Tails.

We were able to feed her a carrot. She is a gentle horse. As a child I learned how to trust a horse from my grandmother's cousin. Mr. Krall took me to meet his horse and back then I fed that horse a sugar cube. Once they know you are not afraid they can become your friend. We enjoyed our visit to YaYa Orchard. The apple crop was not the best this year so we were unable to pick our own apples. But we tasted and purchased many apple delightful goodies.

If you read my post yesterday you may remember the big yellow house in a photo. We saw a lady walking from the house with a tray of brown paper bags filled with apple cider donuts. I am guessing they whip up the preservative free Apple Cider there too.

We bought donuts and cider and Red Apple Salsa. I would show a photo up close but we nearly polished it off so I will show you these.

Welcome to Colorado weather. We were in the 90's yesterday. Last night it rained all night long. Mid day today the snow started to fall. Back to 80 on SONday. Grateful that the moisture will hopefully help these wildfires surrounding us.

Weird weather patterns everywhere. We are use to it in Colorado and it cracks me up when people move here and complain. Go back where you were. You were probably happier.

HAPPY TUESDAY AND TALES OF TUESDAY SHOW AND TAILS

Oh how I miss the tales of Tuesdays Show and Tails. So here is a pigeon to make you smile. They have tail feathers so they count. This is always what happens when you get that perfect car wash. I am constantly cleaning bird poop off the cars. Birds just don't care.

Ha! Maxine you're too funny. I use to enjoy auto racing but one thing I don't need is political views. Pick a career and go with it. Give up your millions to go save the world from the rest of us. I am finished with the NFL, the NBA and NASCAR. MLB is getting on my nerves lately too. I admire the Cleveland Indians. Wanna know why no one took a knee? They have CHARACTER! They have RESPECT and most of all more of the players in baseball come from socialist countries and are grateful to be here, for now anyway. THe Cleveland Indians deserve a shout out for their patriotism! If you gonna support something, know what you are supporting! Otherwise it shows you lack intelligence. No matter the amount of money somebody gave you for your special "talent" don't follow the crowd! I love Shaq (O''Neill_. He was raised by a drill Sargent. He says "most times I am not political correct! But I Loved Shaq cause they use to play for the love of the game and nothing more.  I think Maxine and me would be good friends. I don't like to have too much work !

Schools are getting back into the swing of things whether in person or on line. I think everyone should spread more kindness. We know kids can be cruel and in today's world filled with so much technology, keep your kids simple. Stay away from all the technology and read together. Play a game, so many things out there to increase knowledge without all the tech junk. I recently read Tik Tok is one of those sites you need to be vigilante about. Kids are so innocent and it is easy to say your a kid when in fact you are not. On that note, let's give a huge shout out to the US Marshal's who have been finding missing children and stopping some of the human trafficking.

I think this is more dry humor. But dates and figs....they can be tasty!

Spending some time sorting photos and printing, scanning and sharing them. My dad in 1970 something. I thought he looked so sweet dozing. I sure miss my dad. He was such a wonderful person.  I was thinking of my folks today. My friend was burying her mom this morning. She passed away days before her 95th birthday. I wish I could have been there for Carole and her sisters. It is hard losing parents. But Betty is joining her heavenly phamily now as she was the baby and the last one to leave this earth.

Holy smokes was I young! 1976 at the Pueblo County Treasurer's Office. I shared a space with my pal Olga. She was very petite and very nervous.  She was a widow and later married her neighbor. They lost their spouses to leukemia and cancer and he was so broken when Olga passed away. It was a sad funeral. I loved working with her. The only work she had ever done was bartender work  but our boss was her friend and she gave her the job. Olga loved Sonic's crispy pork sandwich and on the way back from lunch someday's I would pick one up for her. We worked on the 2nd floor in a corner office with a window. We looked out onto Court Street. We went all out for CHRISTmas decorations in our tiny space. We even had a cardboard fireplace. Olga was an Avon lady so we had all the latest CHRISTmas decor.

We spent our honeymoon at Lake Tahoe. It was very beautiful. My sweetheart was so trim back then. I have the other half of this photo somewhere. We could wear each others jeans back then . Ah....youth......If only we could be so fit and trim. Sigh......

A new month is here for 30 whole days. I had my post laid out but then Harrison popped over and we played superheroes in my backyard. That child has an incredible imagination. We had so much fun. I am tuckered out. I will share my exciting story tomorrow. when I will be wordless (NOT) on Wednesday! Enjoy your week everyone. I am late catching up comments but I will be there .

Happy Tuesday and Tuesday Show and Tails

This is Nikita. She is our niece Leah's little momma pup. She is a rescue. Someone was going to leave her on the side of the road , a road that was super busy. So Leah took her home. She has some puppies and they are all happily living together. Nikita is a great watch dog. She watches that front door but she also likes to nap in the sun. I thought she would be perfect for Happy Tuesday and of course, Tuesday show and Tails. Someday maybe Angela will return to her blog and host this fun Tuesday hop.

Oh Maxine, we are all getting older. This was too cute not to share.

We are trying to get some tomato plants to produce some delicious food. But this was cute too.

I don't fret over this world. I belong to Jesus and His world. I Pray He returns soon.

We saw the gorgeous sunset last night returning home from the airport. Nick was out of town and we picked him up at the airport.  The sky was brilliant.

Tuesday Show and Tail and Happy Tuesday

The months are flying by and we are half way to the end of the year. I think time goes too quickly. June is a busy month for us and starts the summer birthday. We have lots of those!

Happy Tuesday This is Jacey and her friend Bell. He is the sweetest fellow. Biggest blue eyes. I wanted to share him and wish you all a Happy Tuesday and Tuesday Show and Tail.

Bell is going to get a new friend soon. He is a very friendly little guy. 

We are having a heat wave. It is not my favorite but I do love seeing the flowers bloom and the grass smelling sweet after cutting it.  Maxine has different ideas. HaHaHa! I think she may be right!

Do you feel this way somedays? Too much going on in our world. Breathe! Trust God! Relax!

I pray! Recently something big we prayed for came to someone in m phamily. God answers, maybe not as quickly as we like, but He it in His own time. 

It seems when I trimmed my photo it miniaturized. But it was a favorite photo we took at Evangola State Park on our recently trip. It was fun searching the rocks on the shore for different shapes and textures and colors.

Sloths are smart creatures. Plus they look so adorable.  They are fast swimmers.  They float and they eat fermenting leaves so they are quite gassy.  I thought you might chuckle at the facts. Often if you click on stories they want you to sign up to follow.  I would love to see a sloth up close but I am not one to interfere with their daily lives. Be happy! I Love that expression.  Life isn't always what you expect. It is easier to make the best of it and not complain too much. I have bad bones and do enough complaining about those. I don't need to add anything else to my complaint list. Thank goodness it is shorter than my thankful list.That list goes on forever.

Wise words for today's world.

Brothers at their water play station on a hot hot hot May afternoon. That baby loves the water and Brody, like me, is not a huge fan!

They were so happy Harrison was able to have a play date with them. Harrison is a good helper like Brody so they are good boys to have around. Plus the little one gets so excited. He is going to be so much fun when he starts crawling and walking. Thankful for these boys and all the grands. Happy to have them all in my life.

I have spent the day cleaning up my i phone and my e mails so I found this and had to share it for Happy Tuesday It is so cute and I thought of not only myself (hahaha) but also Myra! I thought you'd enjoy this silliness.

I never forget our little buddy Dapper Gentleman Bandit. He was so young here. We lost him last November 2018 but never a day goes by that we don't think of his handsome face and his quirky way about him. He is a star today for the Tuesday and Tails. I am hoping Angela swings by her blog wvtreasures.blogspot.com and comes back to this fun blog hop.

Aw....this sweet species had a rough go of things when the devastating man made fires tore across Australian harming so much wildlife and taking lives. This fellow is cute as can be and I am hopeful their homeland will be restored, slowly but surely.

We have been experiencing some difficult times all around the world. But if you just listen to the Lord, He will guide us all through these rough times.

We have been trying to remind ourselves to take some photos. We took this selfie outside this morning in our front yard. Our neighbor across the street yelled, "you're not six feet apart, you're too close together! Social distancing." We love our neighbors. They are so thoughtful and care for us. I am serious too when I say this. We live in an older neighborhood, homes built from brick built in the 1960's. There are no HOA fees only neighborhood watches and the city likes to see neat and tidy front yards without tall weeds. We love our home and would never leave here. We sit on about an 8200 square foot lot. New homes near us sell for $600-750,000 and have back yards as large as a powder room! So we will stay and enjoy our big yard and our big hearted neighbors too.

The hubby is going to continue to work. He is considered an essential employee and since his work entails using scanners and other  high end equipment he can not bring it home with him. But the firm is taking every precaution and the staff is so small they barely cover one area of their floor instead of the 8 floors they usually encompass. They are doing this for two weeks and will work one team one week and the second team another week. Everyone will be paid for working and for the week they will not be working. Today he had the day off because everyone has worked so hard keeping the office running smoothly in one small sector of their office while other staff and support staff could work from their homes remotely. In the legal world, the wheels must continue to move. I am very proud of my husband and his co workers . I am very proud of the employer he has. They take care of their own. I feel grateful and blessed he has worked for such a great office all these years.
