Aw....Mondays and Love is...

Rebekah took Leo on a jaunt yesterday morning. We followed in the Jeep. Leo is very good unless he sees another dog, cat or squirrel/rabbit. Then he wants to run after them. He did well. Hannah says she had a headpiece for him which gives you more control since he is a very large boy. He was so  calm all day. We have a HUGE backyard. So he runs all day long. But seeing and smelling everything in your path is much more exciting for them! Rebekah has been his caregiver since Hannah moved to Western NY in 2019. Since they live on acreage, Hannah was afraid he'd get away and could get hit if he ran up the road or deep into their property. So he is here caregiver to the puppies. He is an excellent role model. This was Christmas 2020. Please visit Aw...Mondays

I hope everyone has a beautiful Monday!

SONDAY

I love SONday, we always have a good time eating breakfast together and we usually have lots of fun. The hubby made us biscuits and gravy today. I talked about the Buff in Boulder, Colorado. They have a great menu and that Dirty Hippie, is a cold Chai/Espresso drink made with your choice of  Moo - breve, oat, coconut, soy. But besides my hubby, they make a really excellent Biscuits & Gravy with Turkey Sausage. They also have a Rustic Benedict. I could eat breakfast food for breakfast, lunch or dinner.  One of these days, I am hoping we can visit them and have a sit down breakfast again.

We had a nice snow throughout the night. It did not accumulate much but the day warmed up nicely and we enjoyed it. My sweet hubby put our new desks together. NIck will have a new improved work station and I have a writing desk with a huge drawer. Rebekah and Zach helped us take down the tree in the living room and I took down the tree in our office area. I was sad. The memories in each ornament, the beautiful glow of the lights early in the morning and late at night. I miss it already. I usually spend my winters waiting for Spring. While some folks have a seed catalog planning their garden, I would wait for baseball. After the crummy season this year and all the politics to go along with it, I am sad I am losing my love of the sport. It is all about the almighty dollar, the political garbage they can shove at us and the fact that our hometown team is owned by a bunch of buffoons. Selling off all the best players so they can pick up the bargain basement has beens, It is so sad for me. It was bad enough the NFL went over the top with politics and still are promoting the agenda best suited for anybody but their fans. But our son has always been a stats guy. Since he was in the second grade and had a teacher who encouraged him to write and read about his most favorite thing, sports. He loves all sports, he ran cross country and track and field since the 7th grade all the way through five years of college. He belongs to these on line gambling sites. He is not a chronic gambler but he has fun. He asked us to join him and he helped me win $100 today laughing out loud. The last gambling I did, was in my 20's visiting the local dog track with my sister and placing those $2 bets on each race. We would carry three coin purses. One for winnings we split for each one of us and one for breakfast after the track closed. We often went on a Friday night and always had lotsof fun. Those days are long gone but I do not have luck playing Gin Rummy with husband. He beats me 90 percent of the time. Ha Ha Ha. So winning that cash and being able to cash it out so I can get my money was a thrill.

Here is a birthday cake I had years ago before I coud think of other great stuff I would like on my cake. The gals at my favorite bakery go out of their way to make your cake special. They've done so many for us. Our daughter uses a more upscale place for really unique cakes. They also do a nice job but they charge more for those cakes. But Vicki does such a beautiful job and she went through a change with their employer. THey switched from ALbertson's to Safeway.

This is my fancy 60th birthday cake a few years ago. HaHaHa! It was wonderful. When Rebekah graduated from college they made her an open book cake as she was an English Literature major.

Mister Kitty was preturbed yesterday morning that we had to get up and move. It was snowy and cold and he was enjoying the warmth of the bed, wrapped in blankets and sheets and such. He knows that pillow is the truth in this household! HaHaHa! Please visit Aw...Mondays.

Love is... Avery and I worked hard with Zach and Rebekah today. We are settling in for a good night's rest and hoping it will be filled with sweet dreams. We are like an old happy couple tonight but earlier today we thoguht we were youthful overowrking ourselves. Sweet dreams to you too!

Aw...Mondays

It is Monday and  some of us feel like this bear. He is getting ready to hibernate. I purchased postcards when I could not find them in my local stores. Hooray for the stores that finally restocked. This fellow and many other animal postcards were lovely but not the kind of quality I am use to. So I am sharing him here as a tribute to 2020. Check out his claws. Visit Aw...Mondays and say hello.

I have a relative, my cousin Cec who rehabs these critters along with many others. She and her hubby live near our hometown in Southern Colorado.  She has a heart like an animal because these creatures great and small love her. It is something to see, at least my big brother told me the story. I admire her love of wild animals.
Since we've been decorating and took a break to cook, I am in the spirit of the season. So is Love is...they never can make me not feel pure happiness.  Hope you enjoy it.

Sleep well, take your vitamins and get plenty of rest. The new week is upon us. Happy Monday all.

Love is..../Blue Monday

I am trying to combine a few posts so I can get them up in a timely fashion,
Love is...is so special to me I had to share this one today.
We burn our calories by walking and if this rain doesn't let up I will never get into shape for summer! My Sweets is very silly. He constantly makes me laugh and sometime we act so silly we get glances in public places! But we are not into too much heavy "lovin" if you get the idea! We think that stuff is private and sometime we want to yell "Get a room!" when people get overly carried away!
Join Marydon, myself and all the special ladies at Love is.... today!
Then hop over to visit Smiling Sally and see all the blues for Monday!
Here is my contribution:
My oldest daughter Noelle has a Smurf collection to rival the Smurfs themselves!  She has had those Smurfs since she was a small child and she is a parent herself today with grandchildren! I always loved the Smurfs. My dad had one hanging on his truck rear view mirror of Papa Smurf. He is looking out of a telescope and when you are backing that truck up he moves as if he is surveying the situation. I love that Smurf.
Now go visit Sally and all the blues today!

LOVE IS....

Here is my Love is...contribution today. I watch the moon because when it is full we get so many grumpy, crabby and unpleasant folks passing through the medical specialty office where I work! So here is a moon I enjoy seeing. Even as a kid I thought about this moon in reference to a cookie! There are some awesome crescent shaped cookies that are dipped in powdered sugar! Ah...my Sweets and I like to watch the moon rise and the sun set. It makes you secure your faith in God because nothing could be bigger or better or smarter than Our Awesome Creator! Check these verses because they back me up 100%! They are a few more favorite verses that I love to reflect on. Isaiah 40:22 , Job 26:10, Job 26:7
Please visit Marydon and Sherry and join us for this fun meme.
