The Greatest of These is Love

This kitty looks like my Mr. Kitty. But I don't know the cute puppy. I thought Sandee would love this and maybe some folks who share with us each Monday for Aw....Mondays.
I am not seeing a lot of love lately.. I have been preoccupied and may be more sensitive to it . My friend Barb lost her dad last week and is reconnecting with her siblings. I have been busy in prayer. Lorna has been crazy busy, her dad fell and broke his hip but waited for a day to go to the doctor. Then he had a couple mini strokes. They sent him home today and she asked for more prayer. She doesn't think he is ready to be home already. Love. It is what makes this world go round so I like seeing it. I don't like seeing battle lines being drawn. People attacking others or saying hateful or hurtful things. I am going to talk and share love as much as I can!
I have been trying to find this little Precious Moments figurine. She is called Friends Write from the Start! She reminds me of Barb who was my first pen pal and we were 13 back then! So I am going to think of her each time I smile at this little figure.
Do you know that I wouldn't  know Sandee if I hadn't first known her good friend Mike? I knew him from blogging and social media and now I love seeing them both here each week for Aw....Mondays. Deena (Parsley) introduced me to Karl (Iggy) here. Barb started me on the path of blogging. I have all these awesome friends because of someone else or something. I love it!

Susan and Yvonne were high school classmates. They are two of the many reasons I use social media.Tom and Jerry is our favorite cartoon. Susan posted something at social media, she makes me laugh at least ten times a day! It was a Tom and Jerry meme.So I shared another here for her and Yvonne. I just did one of those questionaires where you answer each question about your likes or dislikes. Yvonne was tired of the politics too. She made me smile. Even if Jeanne is away from Blue Monday for a while longer I can still share my blues.
Wind turbines near Salina, Kansas. We will be heading there in May for Nick's college graduation. We just made our hotel reservations and have shared all our information with our other kids. It is something we look forward to.
Love is...can make me smile but I know so many who could use this simple advice.
Oh Maxine, you better behave because the IRS will be watching you! But I believe my W-2 will say "R u kidding????"
I always remember He is the light of the world.

Zach and Rebekah having a lunch break at the Denver zoo. we always pack our own lunch. What fun we had this past Saturday.
Jayden and Michael having lunch too. That Michael is the quietest and most chilled out lil fellow. Jayden is a walking question machine? Why? What is that? How come? They are so sweet and I sure love them to pieces.
Lambie Pie has a serious Zoo face. We watched him for an hour last night while the kids went to the gym. He sat on the sofa with his grandpa and ate a cookie. I need to get that photo off Grandpa's phone. It was priceless. This one keeps you moving quickly. No time to stop and rest. He is a tiny walking machine!
This squirrel appeared to be preparing for more wintry days with this hunk of bread he was toting! It looked like a hotdog bun until he got closer, I think he scored a loaf of bread!
Michael's expression, "Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeze, someone pick me up. I am small, my legs are tired!"
Rebekah is like the "Child Whisperer'. These little ones all flock to her. She also has an amazing way with the Zoo animals. They all want to be her friend!
This Silverback Gorilla was being a bit camera shy. One of the Great Ape momma's had a new little girl last February 2016. The volunteer said she did not learn how to walk until November 2016 because momma was so protective. We could not get their photo. Momma was like, "Oh no you don't!"
Here is a 1959 photo of part of big beautiful BoJon Phamily frommy mom's side of the phamily. I love my Phamily! Each and every single one of them!

Laughter Beats Crying Every Time

Sandee is one of those likable people who can make you smile a lot! So joining her at Aw...Mondays each week is fun. I am sharing lots of humor tonight as my Bronco's lost to the Raider's so laughter beats crying everytime!
I find the best stuff at Pinterest! Who names their cat Carl? Hee Hee! My kids had a book called "Good Dog Carl" about a Rottweiler when they were small. My late father-in-law was Carl Thomas, our youngest son is Nicholas Carl. My hubby drives Mr. Kitty nuts with the red dot. You would think the cat would learn!
HaHaHa! This dog looks so darn innocent and this just made me burst out laughing. I am picturing this dog riding a bicycle! Humor is so good for you! Now visit Sandee and her following of furry friend people soon.
I  L O V E cop humor too! This one has made me laugh every time I look at it! Jeanne might enjoy the Minions wearing their blue overalls and driving their blue car!
If Dorie can't make you smile and laugh nothing probably will! Darn Dorie, does she know me or what???? She is surrounded by blue and she is blue too! Welcome to Blue Monday. Share some blues with Jeanne and the crew.
Still counting my blues for Jeanne. My dentist has a mobile hanging above his dental chairs with Aspen Leaves so I enjoy that, as I am not a fan of the dentist. People who tell you never pick your teeth with a sharp object and stick a metal file with a sharp point into your gums and teeth! Ouch!
Case in point, trying to get an iced coffee at McDonald's today, we are waiting in line and there were lots of people in line! Some of them looked angry as they tore out of the parking lot! Should have been a clue! But as we were nearing the drive up order we noticed a guy across the parking lot,  he was pouring gasoline from a gas can into his car. It was running down on the asphalt and he was smoking a lite cigarette! I wanted to ask him who tied his shoelaces~ but instead of putting up a sign saying "Our card reader is down" McDonald's let's you sit for twenty minutes in line to tell you if you don't have cash you can't order! Argh... lol, we drove to a second McDonald's! Same problem, only no guy with a cigarette and gasoline! Third times a charm, third McDoanld's, Yeaaaaaaaa, card reader working! Thank you Lord for the little things in life and also grateful for not going BOOM in the McD's parking lot!
Ok, my final humor here. Now let me share a Love is... with you:
I love all kinds of snail mail except political flyers and junk mail!  Love is...will always make me smile.
Maxine might get a visit from the EPA or some other government agency! Apparently, none of those people shovel their own driveways! Laugh Out Loud!

Proverbs 29:2New American Standard Bible (NASB)

When the righteous [a]increase, the people rejoice,
But when a wicked man rules, people groan.

Thank you for joining me. I am still catching up on my comment replies. Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Halloween and Lots of Fun

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! If you are heading out this evening please be safe and share your candy stash too! We have lots of candy to hand out so we are hopeful lots of little ones with ring our bell. The hubby took four bags of candy to his office. The inner city kids trick or treat at his office and those little ones will have a bounty of candy! The firm he works at has nine floors.
These kittens are picture purr-fect! Please be wise, give your feline a long life and spayed or neuter them.
A wagon filled with tiny dashchunds. Make sure you properly care for these little ones too by spayed and neutering them and loving them unconditionally. I shared some Precious Moment figurines for Sandee and those sharing with her at Aw...Mondays today! enjoy those furry friends. I am hoping Jeanne will look at the pretty blues over here today too.
Love is...always warms my heart and makes me grateful for the life I live. This is cute because we know the colder weather is coming and I like snuggling under those warm covers.
Maxine really is spot on here! I am constantly sweeping with a broom because the kitties can be so messy with their food and litter. That poor dog! Maxine should get a date with Gargamel from the Smurfs. He is not very nice to that poor cat Esmeral!
I like sharing my Scriptures that I read each day. Lots to pray about especially the upcoming election.
Enjoy a wonderful week and thank you for stopping by.

MONDAY GRATEFUL DAY

Everyday Jeremy sees this sight as he gets ready to leave his house. Smokey loves riding in the car, Stella just loves being with Smokey and poor little Bandit. he is just tired! These are daycare faces. Waiting to leave their house and come to mine. Stop by Sandee's and say hi and share your favorite Aw...Mondays
This sweet Precious Moments with a little girl dressed in blue and white is called God Loveth A Cheerful Giver. I have been a collector of these little figures since 1983. I had a good friend, Thelma, her dad owned the local Christian Book Store, and she would hold all the new releases for me on layaway. I really loved those days where I could add to my collection and pay a little each few weeks. The price has increased on these figurines quite a bit through the years but I still love them. I have half in a curio cabinet and the other half stored until I can find another curio to share them. Instead of downsizing, I still collect these cuties. They are so important to me and each one has a story behind it. I have about 125 of them. Tell Jeanne you stopped here for Blue Monday too.
We had an ancient piano and the girls loved playing it but when we moved we did not have a good place to put it so we sold it. I sure miss that old piano although I am not musically talented. But I love music! This Love is.... just makes me smile.
At any age, education is a costly experience. I am grateful my kids used student loans to better their lives. I just wish there were better rates to repay it and more people who could afford it. Maxine is just plain silly.

Lots of wonderful people to pray for. So much to be grateful for.
Watching the Denver Broncos play at home against the Houston Texans. I hate all the injuries in this game. Lots of prayers are being said for both teams. Gotta love my Broncos though. I am behind visiting and seem to be disorganized this Monday. Nick left for Kansas yesterday with Louis and they arrived back on campus safely. Can't ask for much more than that. Noelle and Roger touched ground heading home from their Ohio trip to see friends and phamily. Waiting for their ride at the airport. We slept well last night. New mattress, new restful night. It was wonderful. We are grateful for that. Enjoy your week and come back soon.

Many Monday Memories in the Making

I think being different is cool. It is awesome and fun! I own one cat, his name is Mr Kitty. He is quite pretentious and thinks he is the house ruler. I am caregiver to Nick's cat, Rose. She is the Chicken Wrangler, steals chicken faster than you can say "Where did my chicken go?"  Fried, baked, boiled, she is not picky although I think she may have some Southern roots. I have caught her twice with fried chicken, only the remains of the crispy goodness in her whiskers. A faint whisper of fried chicken on her breathe. The girl is a magician, disposing of the bones so she leave no evidence. Daphne belongs to our middle daughter's beau. I call her "Hey Girl", as she is skittish and shy. Having been dumped inside a twelve pack box of Miller Lite Beer with four siblings, as a newborn , I guess I would be afraid of humans too! Our youngest daughter owes Leo, oh what can I say about Leo, he is the neighborhood good will ambassador. Greets each dog in three yards surrounding our home each day. The grumpy black lab, who for nearly 6 years, has barked at me! Yet he wags his tail at Leo as they sniff butts through the fence and pee as if giving each other a high five! Leo stands about six feet tall on his hind legs. He is massive, about 75 lbs. He will lick you to death, kiss you and nibble your arms! But he is a gentle giant, once confined to a kennel for more than 12 hours a day. My hubby hates for him to jump on the bed but when I have had a bad day, a rotten  migraine or simply feel defeated he will come and lay next to me. He will look me directly in the eyes and I tell him how blessed he is to be here where he can run, catch rabbits, play fetch and lounge outside in the sunshine. He understands me and he loves the great outdoors. I babysit Jeremy's three dogs. Bandit is the ancient one. The old man recently received sad news. He is 15, quite a feat for a fellow who weighs a whooping 10-12 lbs. and is called a rat terrier. But he had an infection on his back paw and the vet thinks is is quite serious. The oral antibiotics helped and his three times a week foot soak with a special medicated shampoo has healed him somewhat. But Jeremy will have to decide about further testing to determine the seriousness of his illness. At nearly 100 in human years, the little fellow is a true prince. Smokey is a Boxador, which is a Boxer/Lab. he is 8 and the friendliest fellow. He watches over his tiny elderly brother and cherishes Stella, also 8, the shepherd/blue heel rescue. She is his love and he guards as as if she were a precious gemstone. My days are filled with cat litter, dog food, hair and spills. But the company is good. Sometime a furry friend knows exactly what you need. They will never let you down either. They are so different from people. They give a vacuum a great workout! So be different and visit Sandee at Aw...Mondays.
Pretty blue tea things from Pinterest. This elegant teapot would be terrific for a little tea party. I love the design on it.
Pinterest has some pretty tea sets too. This one is very classic and might be used at a high tea or just a fun vintage tea.
This Vintage Cobalt Blue teacup is bright and colorful. It would be fun to use at a Mad Hatter Tea Party where you could mix and match some different tea cups and saucers.
Amen to this pinterest find. I hope Jeanne joins me for some tea. I have lovely almond cookies, an English shortbread cookie and some elegant pastries to share. won't you join me too?
I will ask pinterest to give me this scone recipe too. You might enjoy glazed lemon blueberry scones.
Even Love is...loves tea time too!
Now Ms. Maxine, we really need to work on those manners. You can't spill hot tea on someone you don't like! Isn't it better to simply kill them, with kindness?
I will always love sharing Scriptures and the Book of James is very special to me.  I read it because my father read it and furthermore, he lived it.
