MONDAYS

Snoopy and I will get along beautifully today. Going to bed too late, snow coming around way too early for me and other life chaos. Stop by Sandee's and say Aw....Mondays.
Blue Monday means blue skies. Who knows what our skies will look like tomorrow? We just pray. we will wake up and see the snow going away. This was a pinterest fine.
I miss my sister. She was so very beautiful. Those long legs and that smile! She was an incredibly kind human being. My goodness, the world is lacking in kindness today. I can never recall a time when my sister Pat was mean, hateful or rude. She had a beautiful heart. When I was young, my grandmother would always say, "God takes the good ones".  She always said the rest were left to learn lessons. My sister was struck down by cancer in the prime of her life. I guess my grandmother really was telling me a truthful thing- only the good die young. Makes me sad not to pick up the phone and talk to my big sister, but I would not wish her back into this world filled with so much uncertainty and so much unkindness. She deserves nothing but goodness as she lived a very exemplary life. Heaven is so much better because she is there.
Snoopy and Scripture, they both give me so much  that I need. Snoopy can always bring a smile, he was just such a silly cartoon dog but smart and funny and always able to bring smiles. This is a good scripture to remember especially when times are tough.
Love is....makes me smile even with snow in the forecast! I love my electric blanket in the winter but my hubby is a great warming device. While I am freezing sometimes, he is perfectly warm and easy to stay close to.
Maxine I sure feel like this lately. Too much negativity in the world particularly at social media. What makes me sad is the fact that I enjoy talking privately loved one far away yet I cannot stand all the negative talk. I've said it before:

Weddings and Other Life Situations

These two guard dogs make sure that boy Harrison is safe and sound at my house. When he heads towards the front door they are with him all the way. Guard dogs and fast friends. It is always something fun at my house. Leo and Stella are proud.
Maybe Sandee and the Aw...Mondays gang will remember who I am when I post this share. I have been missing in action but so much  happening in our lives, mainly good things, that we have been on the run.
One of the navy "blue" dresses I like for our middle Rebekah's wedding December 2, 2017. They had planned an autumn wedding in September 2018 but changed their minds. Just like a girl, to change her mind. Sort of like her birth 29 years ago, should I make my entrance, uh-oh, wait yes, well, no! We are so very excited. Stop by Blue Monday and say hello for me today.
Not her dress, but Rebekah found her dream dress. She would not make a commitment to get the dress without her daddy at her side. He was probably the happiness guy in the bridal salon. One guy, buying his wife the Mother of the Bride dress looked like he would rather eat a plate full of nails! Two would be husbands were darting their eyes around looking for an escape exit! Ah....the joys of weddings. Once men learn it is all about the bride, they will somehow survive. On the subject of weddings, my cousin Ray and his wife Kathy  celebrated 57 years today! That is one awesome accomplishment. Happy they are still enjoying each other's company.
Good old fashioned advice, right out of the Good Book! Somehow you just know when everything is right.
Our own marriage has been like this more times then we can even remember. We hung in there through thick and thin and would do it all over again. We are better because  we grew stronger. It   helped that we had some excellent role models along the way.

Oh Maxine, you must have your say each day! You are living and learning.
I think it is an OCD obsession but  I like the dishwasher loaded a certain way. Even Maxine agrees.
I hope everyone has a beautiful week. Lots of prayers for Texas and Florida and all the fires and other natural disasters all over this great land.

M O N D A Y

Rose did not wish for Harrison to be included in what she assumed was her photo shot! She is my Aw...Mondays so stop by and tell Sandee hello today.
Nick graduated Saturday May 6, 2017 from the Kansas Wesleyan University. It was the best experience he could have had. A wonderful, small, private university, with excellent instructors. A place where he made so many wonderful and meet many godly Christian men and women. We were so proud and instead of purple my hubby wore his favorite blue shirt. Please visit Blue Monday and say hello today.
