Thankful Thursday Tea Time/ Feline Friday Pink Saturday

 Things to be Thankful for:

Simplicity, fresh air through an open window

Quiet moments spent reading a good book

Music moments to rest and relax

Spending quiet time with God in prayer

I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought; and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder. G. K. Chesterton . A Short History of England, 1917

An attitude of gratitude is a never-ending prayer. William Arthur Ward, Thoughts of a Christian Optimist, 1968

Always looking for things to share at tea parties. These cute sandwiches are three simple ingredients. Strawberries, cream cheese and a loaf of bread to cut into cute shapes. I even have a tea pot cookie cutter that would be cute with this. If you can find strawberry flavored cream cheese, these would be tasty in pink too.

I don't have any photos but a few weeks ago Hannah and Jake had company. His phamily came over for dinner and they went outdoors to light a fire in the fire pit. As the fire started Jake's sister heard a noise and saw five kitten come out of the fire pit. They had been living in the fire pit and their mother was not around. They were so blessed. Only a few singed whiskers.  Not a burn on any of them. They have a friend who is caring for them as they need to be bottled fed. Their story reminds me of the three men in the fire in the Old Testament- Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. You can read it in the Book of Daniel 3:16-30. They were thrown into the fire and when the king went see if they were burned he saw a fourth man in the fire. Those young men came out unscathed. God works in mysterious ways. I will get updates about the kittens. I was hoping their mother would show up but no luck. Maybe their friend will provide a few photos as the kittens are growing up quickly. They were about 6 weeks old when they came out of the fire pit.

Here are some Pinterest kittens in a basket.  Aren't they so cute?

Minnie's house at toontown from Pinterest. Minnie sure knows how to enjoy living.

Have a wonderful weekend. These days go by quickly.
