Happy Tuesday, Tuesday Show and Tails, Maxine Cracks Me Up

 

Happy Tuesday I have not been very happy with this fellow. He has been acting up and being a jerk. He has been stealing regular cat food from Daphne than puking and crying to get more food. He is on a strict weight loss food but since I can not monitor him constantly and we can not deprive the other kitty from her food, it is frustrating. The vet office laughed and said he isn't stupid. Why would he want to eat his bland food when he can eat full fat? Unfortunately, I do not see this as a laughing matter. I do not want him to die young. It is frustrating. So when we get appointments for our girls Lulu and Mollie to be spayed at CSU Vet Clinic I may check into finding him a different vet. I am normally very happy but it worries me. March 16th would have been Rose's birthday, She passed away from kidney disease but Boots, my boy passed away on her birthday in 2012. He had diabetes, but on an extreme happy note, all three of these special felines made me happy as well as my children through the years.

Wow did we have a wild floral sofa back in 2001. Rose was so small. She was always very petitie. She had the most beautiful jade green eyes, and she was a quirky kitty. I believe had she been a person, she would have been left handed. She had a mean left hook when the other kitties bugged her. I will always miss you, Rose. Happy Birthday to you at the Rainbow Bridge.  You always made us all so HAPPY.

My boy Boots went to the Rainbow Bridge March 16, 2012. There is not a day that I don't think of him, remember his kind heart or his funny habits. He was unique and a one of a kind gentleman feline. I often think he might have been an angel in disguise and that is how I will always remember him. He was born on our wedding anniversary and I paid a lady $35 for him as a gift to give Rebekah on her birthday, but he took a shine to me so I spent all the time I Had with him as a sweet and dear friend. He loved to pose for photos and when the girls were small they loved dressing him in costumes and hats and glasses. Let me say this, Mister Kitty and Rose, would not allow anyone to pose them, dress them up or wear accessories. They would bite, scratch and make a ruckus. Boots was a different sort. I will always love and miss him.

Perhaps one day Angela will host Tuesday Show and Tails again.  

HAPPY TUESDAY:

Having pets to bring joy to your life has always been special for me. As a child my father let me adopt an abandoned kitten. Unfortunately, she was wild and was run over. I had two poodles Gigi and her daughter Renee. They were beautiful girls and so much fun to be with. My parents had two canaries, Elmer and Oliver. They lived long lives and gave us all great joy with their singing. Through the years my hubby and I have had many sweet fur babies. So celebrating them all on Happy Tuesday is a great happiness for me. 

Maxine has opinions on everything. This is one that is hard to disagree with her on ! Ha Ha Ha - some chores I would rather leave and never do. Others give me joy. So I agree here and always  love Maxine and her sassy attitude.

 Happiness is a good thing. So stop by Happy Tuesday. Share some happiness.The world has become more scary but I try not to consentrate on that. Instead, I devote my time to happy things. Today was not an especially great day. But the electrician finally made it back to upgrade a few things so "praying" the city inspector will approve our solar. He is a nice young man and another electrician was with him. They worked hard and got everything done in a few hours. A smile for that victory.

Nightly grooming routine for this busy boy. I can rarely capture a good photo of him. He is terribly nosey and into things that are none of his business. But he was chasing the red dot earlier and had to have a quick nap. Now he is ready for more action. He makes me happy most of the time. He did not steal Daphne's food recently, so that is a  happy thing. He fits purrfectly into Tuesday and Show and Tails. My day disappeared quickly, one thing, than another and so on. I am grateful to be able to rest now. But I did accomplsih a few extra tasks waiting on the electrician.

Oh Maxine, you stole my heart today with this one. You are a little more direct than Bill Engvall with his "Here's your sign" mentality. HaHaHa Her pup is always looking so confused! Love you Maxine.

HAPPINESS:

Woke up to the sunshine filling the sky. Happy!

Made pancakes and ate two with fresh blueberries that were super sweet. I loved it!

Had to load the dishwasher twice since I had so many dishes . They came out sparkling clean! YAY!

Dusted in my living room. Seems like the dust always setlles in my spaces.

 Did one load of laundry and enjoyed it! Laundry is my mental health therapy. Makes me happy cause I talk with God and do my best prayer time with Him there.

We cooked a roast with veggies last night and I was able to get the leftovers all contained in smaller containers and refrigerated after having some of the deliciousness. The hubby had it for breakfast. Happy.

I decided to forget about the things throughout the day that were not pleasant.  I made sure the recycle was coming tomorrow and filled one completely. Happy that the second container was half full. Makes the trash load lighter.

Opened my front door to see the Fed Ex guy drive away. He left our truffles. It is our only vice really. Talk about being happy! The hubby was busy at work so he said I made his day when I told himt he truffles came. It does not take much to make us happy. :-)

Always looking forward to another day, if the Lord willing, gives me another 24 hours. I do not take anything for granted. Life is fleeting. Be happy. Be Thankful. Have some fun. Eat a Truffle

Happy Birthday to Brittany our own and only daughter-in-love.  She celebrates with her brother Brandon and their dad Tim as they have birthdays all in a row. Brody turns 2 on the 18th so he rounds out phamily birthdays. It was such a pleasure to add Brittany into our phamily as we were so excited to have a DIL. We also were blessed with an automatic grandgirl with Addy. Our only other girl grand is Christal and she is a mom herself. It is fun to add girls into our world. We seem to have more boys than girls. But we love them all so much. So happy birthday Brittany and enjoy a beautiful new 2021. We also are excited for them to move to their new home soon. They received word today that the phamily they bought their home from is moving the first week in March. Excited for them all to have new homes and new memories to make.

My girl Lulu turns 3 on february 23. She was so tiny. But even after her unexected double surprise, Mollie and Finn, she got her cute figure back quickly. She is a good mom and most nights she will sleep with Mollie. finn likes his own space and Mollie is still so tiny. She is another Happy Tuesday time. Thinking always of Angela who who to host Tuesday and Show & Tails.

Maxine's dog is always at her side yet he is quiet. He lets Maxine take the lead and I am guessing she has biten a few folks before! Oh Maxine, you are such a character.

Housework is hard stuff. I like laundry, I like cleaning my bathrooms and doing dishes. The rest of it, no thank you. So humor is good.It's always good. Visit Happy Tuesday

Would you have a pet skunk? There are lots of more exotic pets out here. I think if you are good with animals you could be a skunk parent. But I would have to research them first. I think it is a big problem with people who buy a cute dog (i.e. Dalmation) because they saw the Disney movie. Not a good reason. We once owned a Springer Spaniel. She was a true mental case. But we found her a good home. I don't get dumping pets and leaving them. They trust us. Makes me sad. I wonder if Angela would keep a pet skunk? Hmmmm. she has a cute Corgi named Josie. She is a true Corgi lover. MIssing her and missing Tuesday Show and Tails.

Oh Maxine, you are something else! At CHRISTmas Jeremy and his phamily gave me a Maxine desk calendar. I save the dates so I should scan them and show them to you here.  Maxine is a real hoot.

It is Happy Tuesday so here are a few thoughts on happiness. It is so true, you will never be happy trying to be what others want you to be. You will never be happy if you carry grudges. You can not find happiness if you are negative .You need faith to find J O Y  and  true happiness.

I find something to be thankful for each day. I don't have everything or anything perfect in its place, but I am always very thankful.

Happiness is perfection  just like this quote. Look beyond the imperfections. Today we spend so much time beating others up because they don't think like us. We've become so intolerant. I wish we would all be happy and use kindness first.

Please continue to pray. Tarrah woke up with breathing issues. They found some fluid on her lungs. She went back into the hospital and they are diagnosing and she is  receiving treatment .  Ella is kicking butt with her lungs and she is gaining weight. But she has a blood clot and they are going to put in a fluid drain to alleviate the pressure so there will not be any damage. Please pray. My heart is heavy for both of them. I think Tarrah needs rest and treatment. I am no doctor but I know how much she loves her boys. I Know how she surrounds them with love. But right now she needs TLC and that being said, she needs to stay put at the hospital until they resolve this. As for Ella, I am that neuro expert knowing all about the problems pressure can cause. We just want that tiny girl to keep gaining weight, keep improving her lungs and going home eventually. Thank you.

I am working on reading the bible everyday through 2021 and I am doing a study with Kaylene Yoder. She is a really wonderful person and her studies really draw me to my bible studies.

The month of November flew by. How did we come to December 1st? I am a December baby so I love my birth month. Come visit Thankful Tuesday.

I have done a grateful, thankful and blessed post daily at my blog My Tata's Cottage. It has helped me tremendously keep  my spirits up and keep from falling into the terrible trap of "Oh woe is me!" "We are all going to die!" "Worship science, forget God."  Someone is constantly saying I feel so sad, I am depressed. I am not an expert but I know enough to say stop listening to everything you hear on social media, the news, people with negative attitudes. Surround yourself with all the good things you love. I love tea and drink it most days. We keep chocolate in a drawer and eat some nearly everyday. There are so many little simple things to keep you smiling. If you feel sad or depressed please try this and talk to someone you truly trust. I have mentioned before, my hubby is all I have left in the total trust dept. I lost my two dear friends Mollye and Vivian and they literally took all the secrets I shared with them to their grave. I miss them so much so I do the encouragement group. When I read what others are experiencing it literally hurts my heart. Many friends I have known,  I am always hear to listen. I am my mother's daughter. I am just the way she was. A people person.

I learned this little tidbit when I lost my job November 13, 2014. All these years later it was the biggest blessing that could have happened to me. I do not miss any of it. 

This would be me, same glasses and all!  I am just thankful for today and for all the fun I am having. I am trying so hard to keep positive and keep trusting God. I know Jesus is preparing to return. This world holds nothing that will last forever and if someone believes that I feel terribly sorry for them. 

Oh Maxine, you need to stop !  Her little dog with his sun shades is a precious sight to see. I am hoping Angela return to blogging soon.

I would be up all night if I drank coffee all night too! I remember Joe DiMaggio doing the Mr. Coffee commercials years ago.  He was a fsvorite ballplayer I knew because of my dad and his love of the sport.

Happy Tuesday and More

 

Rose always had a serious catitude! But she was devoted to Nick and I think when he went away to school, she was mad and she took it out on me! She was a unique cat. Thinking back to the fifth grade, when Nick begged us to save her life, saying his friends was going to drown the kittens if they couldn't find homes! I think people like that, maybe someone should smack them around for a while and see if anything changes their hatefulness. Spay or neuter your pets people! Then you will never worry about unwanted pets. We are a throw away society, even for babies and animals. Don't want them, kill them! But in Rose's case, we took her in and Nick cared for her. Cleaning her litter, making sure she ate regular meals.  He was such a good friend to her. About five years ago she was diagnosed with kidney disease. She ate a special diet, she saw the vet and had blood work regularly. She never lost her spunk and let me tell you, the girl had spunk! She developed sinus issues and it seemed the vet just never could figure out what to do for her. She had to use children's nasal spray and boy she hated it but it helped give her some relief. Last year I woke up to a cat crying. I searched high and low and called for my hubby to help me as well as Nick. She had apparently hopped on the stove and fell between the fridge and stove. She could not climb out. It was so heartbreaking.  She just could not do what she use to do. The girl could open a box with those finicky little tabs and pull out a chicken dinner from Popeye's without you ever knowing what she was up to. She must have hidden her chicken around the house and we never found any evidence. She left the mashed potatoes, gravy and biscuit and honey behind! She never ate a chicken bone, she was smarter then most people! She would not eat cat food flavored with tuna or other fish only chicken. She was a pollotarian, strictly chicken only. I suppose I could write her story all day, every day but I will close here. She went to the Rainbow Bridge last year, November 10, 2019. She is missed today and Nick has all of her belongings. She was a one of a kind  feline. Missing you Rose.

Buzz Woody or Woody Buzz! That is one of Brody's favorite things. Buzz is an extrovert while Woody. he is stressed trying to keep everyone happy. It is a good thing he has Bo Peep to give him a smile now and then. 

Be happy and visit Happy Tuesday. Although these two cuddling and sleepy kittens are not Carol's, my friend in Virginia just adopted two precious kittens named Daisy and Gizmo. Oh they were so cute and they posed for pictures too. Carol lives on a farm so she needs these sweet pets to give her a helping hand.  Meanwhile, I have a cat who loves to sleep. It seems to be his life. Then in the middle of the night he likes to sing the song of his people to me! Maybe Angelawill decide she misses seeing all the pups and kittens and pets and return to blogging full time. One can hope.

Maxine is trying to make everyone hungry for wings! Are you a wing person? I am not a huge fan but occasionally I will have them.

We found out last night one of our favorite places, the Atlanta Bread Company is closing down. We ordered dinner from them and we will certainly miss them. They had the best sandwiches and soup too. Plus if you ate inside during the cold winter months, they always had a beautiful roaring fire going. IT is going to sad not to visit them anymore. But in the words of . . . . .
