When I started this blog I said I would never use it for any political or otherwise forum but I am so sad. A young 16 year old teen in the North Metro area was murdered after Valentine's Day at approximately 1:30 in the morning. He was walking home and apparently was just in the wrong place at the wrong time when a car ran him over and people inside that vehicle got out and beat him to death, for no reason, with an aluminum baseball bat. Nathan Bozonier died at the hands of three gang members. The female driver of the car watched as at least two of these gang members beat this boy to death. Not only am I horrified as a parent of a 16 year old boy of my own but I am mortified that sitting in our white house is a man who refuses to prosecute these gang members to the full extent of the law. I have to say to people with liberal views, perhaps you have to think of Nathan as your own child. Perhaps he was a good friend or a co worker or fellow student at your school. Whatever the reasoning behind such brutal crimes is the fact that America has become so weak willed we sit around and concern ourselves with the likes of disgusting human beings like Bill Clinton and TigerWoods who brag about their infidelities in their ridiculous half -hearted apologies. In regard to Woods, I find it difficult to pray for such an arrogant man with a beautiful wife and child and his absolutely ridiculous reason why he did what he did. It is ludicrous and I suppose we all should pray for him and all the others although I find it so difficult to do. As for Nathan, please pray for his family. His mother Wanda Guzman was on the news this evening, grateful that the police found these criminals with the help of two woman who found the bloodied bat in a local park. I just want to remind everyone to hug your loved ones and keep them close to your heart.
I love blogging and love being light hearted and having fun. Just do not forget. Every moment someone is living and someone is dying. Life can be a very difficult process and always remember to care and try not to get too caught up in all the ridiculous news we see on a daily basis.Try instead to be kinder to someone you don't know.Pray harder for those that are experiencing difficulties. Working in the medical field I see this on a daily basis. When people are difficult to deal with I try to remind myself that they are probably experiencing something far worse then I am. My late wise father use to always say "Remember to be grateful that God is the judge and not mankind." I also remind myself that Christ Himself got angry and reminded people of their shortcomings. I don't mean to imply that you need to shake your finger at anyone but I do believe in accountability and many years ago my oldest daughter had a teacher who was married to a police officer. Her classroom rule was simple "Don't do the crime, if you can't pay the time." I think we get too soft and let too many important things slip by. We all need to take a stand and make our government accountable to us. Otherwise we should vote them out and get a new fresh batch in office! Everyone needs to remember you are responsible for your own actions. Dancing around the truth is never going to set your mind at ease. Own up to your mistakes. I think we all could learn lessons from the various tragedies that we see in our daily lives.
I saw a bumper sticker that made me smile last week. It simply stated"Let's outsource our government." I think if the people voted in a new law that made all positions in our government "volunteer" only without pay or benefits we would see a tremendous change in our world.
Thanks for letting me share Nathans story. All I really know about this teen was he was certainly in the wrong place at the wrong time and his family could use your prayers today & tomorrow and for a really long time to come.

MY FANTASY
This is my fantasy to own the closet that Big gives to Carrie in Sex In The City, the Movie. That huge closet and the romance. Sigh....
You would truly understand if you moved into your very own closet last weekend only to find out that your son is moving back home and taking your closet away from you! We live in a really old house and the closet space stinks! My husband and I had shared a tiny closet for all these years and then I moved my clothes in Hannah's old bedroom last weekend. Then Jeremy decided to come home! Rats! So I lost my office/closet space! Darn! But on the bright side I am glad my son will back in the phamily with us.
MY LOVE STORY PINK SATURDAY PART II W/BLOG PARTY AT MIMI BELLA BOO
Before I tell you my own personal love story I must thank Beverly at How Sweet The Sound for hosting our Pink Saturdays. I also want to remind everyone to keep her in your prayers as she goes through a rough patch with her health. I also want to mention Bonjour Romance who had asked us to tell our love story. I enjoyed reading all the various stories everyone sent to her. I also thank Mimi Bella Boo for hosting her first ever blog party. She asked us to relay our romantic I said Yes stories. I meet my future mother-in-law in 1972. It was the summertime after my high school graduation and I was earning a few extra dollars by taxiing my two aunts and their friend to their job at the local college where they all worked with Rita, who would later become my mother-in-law. She mentioned to me that I was a lovely girl who would make a great wife for her son Avery! I never forgot that and in 1976 I met my hubby. We met at a local hot spot called the "Bloody Bucket Lounge". Not very romantic but...I was leaving the next day to visit my good friend Barb Shobe (Boyack) and be the maid of honor in her wedding. We saw each other on and off until 1983 when I moved to the Denver metro area from our home town in Pueblo, Colorado to be close to him. I was a single mother of a young daughter and my girl adored Avery as much as I did! He also adored her. We had a whirlwind courtship and he stuck by me even though I had been in a car accident and had severe whiplash! He never wavered and although my daughter Noelle stayed behind in Pueblo to continue her schooling with the help of my parents I was suffering from blackouts and had a lot of pain from the car accident. To top it all off my dad suffered a heart attack and spent 38 days on ICU and was in a coma! My sweetheart picked me up after work every Friday and drove to Pueblo (120miles each way) with me as I sat in that hospital waiting room. My dad survived that first heart attack and in March 1984 Avery and I talked about marriage. We drove to Pueblo to see our folks and my dad had lost a lot of his memory from the ordeal. He carried a small notebook in his breast pocket on his shirt and wrote important things down and repeated them to himself so he could remember. He wrote Avery's name in his book about a dozen times so he would remember him. He asked my future husband if he were a Catholic. Avery replied that he was not. My dad asked him if he was a believer and when Avery said yes it sealed our fate! My dad knew Noelle & I would be loved a lot and he knew then that he could let us go. My father always worried about me being a single mom and he was overjoyed to have Avery in our lives. Avery asked me to marry him and we had a quick wedding on May 3, 1984. It was a very private ceremony in a small church hall in a church in North Denver. My husband's friend was a former prison minister and he married us in his church with my hubby's best friend Dave at his side and a girl I once roomed with Lynn at mine. My mother-in-law and father-in-law hosted a small family reception for us and we had a wonderful time. I became very ill after our wedding and ended up with three major neuro surgeries. My new husband never left my side and even wrote about how he felt in his creative writing class. He was studying at Belleview Bible College and taking extra classes at Front Range Community College. When I read that paper I knew that my husband was a keeper and he was my forever friend,lover,companion, father of my children and someone I hope to grow old with.

MY PRIM IT UP VALENTINE SWAP

My Giveaway Win at Everyday Life of a Suburban SAHM
I won a giveaway with Ruth over at Everyday Life Of A Suburban SAHM. I won a mini scrapbook with all the fun stickers and scrap paper to make a mini book for me! I am waiting for the girls (Noelle and Hannah) to come back from Vegas so they can help out. Noelle has her own scraping room and owns a lot of fun things to make the scrapbooking process a fun one! PINK SATURDAY
Do you like Mickey & Minnie? I think they are one of the cutest couples ever and I love Minnie's pink dress and hair bow! They are seldom apart and I think they make a neat little couple. I hope you think so too.
I love my pink bible! I love all my bibles and I have quite a collection. Being raised as a Catholic I never really studied the bible until I first met my husband at age 22. He and I dated and he was studying the bible like mad! He still does! He asked my why I let a priest tell me of God's word. He said I should study it myself. I have since that day and he gave me my first bible, a beautiful leather bound New American Standard edition. I have used at least 5 bibles and they are worn to the core This is one I updated last year. It is a Women's Study Bible and I spend a lot of time reading God's word.
This is my cute "Pink Flamingo" Shower curtain. I have a really pretty Brown Shower Curtain with tiny flecks of turquoise but I wanted a little change. I hope you love my Pink flamingos.
