Tuesday Tails!

Roxanne is quite the fashion plate modeling her designer coat for those cold dreary wintry days! She looks so chic in her black quilted coat with easy to fasten velcro and a fur trimmed collar! I think she needs some boots to match her coat! She hates getting those tiny paws wet on snowy mornings!

I miss sharing pets with  Angela from West Virginia Treasures. So I decided I will try to post some fun pet photos each Tuesday!

I am thinking of getting Roxanne a date with Disco. I am sure you know his family over at chattycrone.blogspot.com/

I wonder if other dogs think poodles are members of a weird religious cult.

Dachshunds are ideal dogs for small children, as they are already stretched and pulled to such a length that the child cannot do much harm one way or the other.

Love is...../ Blue Monday

I like to watch football with my Sweets!  But wasn't too interested in this Super Bowl! Lots of political ranting! Too many whimpy, rude players and not much class!  When I worked in the hospital Emergency room several years ago there were always lots of people coming in for injuries sustained because of football and drinking excessively! Kind of a sad thing. We settle in and watch most football games together at home! So this Love is.. caught my eye ! Please visit Marydon and share your favorites today!
A pretty Valentine to share from rainebeau.blogspot.com/. I love the little touches of blue! I hope you visit Sally and share your favorite blues today!

Tea for Pink Saturday

I found several tea pots and cups that I love at amazon.com so here are a few to share! This bright pink polka dot teapot has a shoe for the knob! Dorothy was right, it is all about the shoes!
Although not pink, this sweet butterfly for one teapot is a cute share! Anyone who knows me well will know I love butterflies!
Oohh....cupcakes and cookies! These are the non fat variety! Sweet!
A dreamy Eiffel Tower teapot! Dreaming of Paris in the Spring! Sigh!

I hope you will join our gracious hostess Beverly and all the pinkies this weekend for lots of fun shares!

"K" is for Kindness

I have really been off my blog and I need to play catch up! I keep missing Alphabe Thursday so here I am sharing a favorite "K"! I like the word kindness, it is a wonderful word and its meaning is filled goodness. I prefer kindness anytime over hostility and meanness!
I am using goodgleimages and hope you see some kindness here:
I liked this collie! He is filled with melon collie today! Check out his helmet and facial expression! He was unsure he was experiencing a kindness or just plain silliness!
Aw.....bunny love!  Thanks google for sharing these sweethearts with us! My niece Mary, who lives in California has pet rabbits. Around the time I lost my pal Boots, my trusted kitty  Boots I had for nearly fourteen years she lost "Stretch" her bunny pal! She offered me words of kindness regarding my loss. Telling me she truly understood my pain helped my healing begin!
Mary's bunnies, kute and kuddly! I know, now I am cheating on the "k" words!
I am a bonafide Kocman! This is my glamour shot from my Mary Kay days  back in the 90's! My maiden name fits the K bill nicely and I am very proud of my heritage and the fact that I was raised by two of the greatest people God put on this earth!

I hope you stop by Ms. Jenny's and visit all the other "K" posts today!

BLUE MONDAY/ LOVE IS...

Aren't these blue and white kitties just precious?  I was in a Mother's Day that my good friend  Mollyehosted a few years ago. Because of that swap Mollye and I became dear friends and I met Linda. I am telling you all this because Linda gave me this kitties in that swap and I treasure them so much! They hold a special place in my curio cabinets. I recently moved them from the kitchen cabinet to the china hutch downstairs. I thought you would like to see these cuties for Blue Monday. I hope you will visit Sally and all the blue crew very soon!
I tried to capture my kitties in my favorite retired Princess House cloche. Notice that little birdie watching those kitties from above?
Stop over and visit  Marydon today. She hosts our sweet Love is...this one is a reminder that my Sweets is a terrific cook and I like to sit down and enjoy a nice meal with him often!

Enjoy the week and thanks for stopping by!

J is for Jeet Kune Do

Anyone who has known me for a while will know that my Sweets loves Bruce Lee! So I thought I would change my Alphabe Thursday theme this week and write a little about Jeet Kune Do. Bruce Lee was the founder of this martial arts and it is practiced widely even today thirty nine years after the death of Bruce Lee. This is the style of martial arts that my Sweets studied when he was younger. The symbol above is Yin and Yang, the Chinese characters  meaning using no way as way and having no limitations as limitations. Bruce Lee felt that marital arts had become to rigid and unrealistic and called  the competition of it "dry land swimming". He believed that combat was spontaneous , and that a martial artist can not predict it, only react to it,  and that a good martial artist should be like water and move fluidly without hesitation. Jeet Kune Do practitioners believe in minimal movement with maximum effect and extreme speed. Bruce Lee was a master of the martial arts. He was so quick that on film it had to be slowed to slow motion in order to capture his moves! The system of these particular martial arts style works on the system of using different tools for different situations. These situations are broken down into ranges (kicking, punching, trapping and grappling). The techniques flow smoothly between them. It is referred to as a style without style or the art of fighting without fighting! Jeet Kune Do is not fixed or patterned. It is a philosophy with guiding thoughts.

In 2004 the Bruce Lee Foundation decided to use the name Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do to refer to the martial arts system that Bruce Lee founded. "Jun Fan" was his Chinese given name. I hoped you learned a little more about this style of martial arts and you will stop by Ms. Jenny's and join all the fun!
