"M" is for Moon

Last week I finally got into the groove of Alphabe Thursday with  Ms. Jenny and the gang who share such great ideas, poems, stories, and just about anything marvelous, made for fun and maybe even crafty! I used "L" for Love because afterall February is the month of love and we all enjoy being showered with some attention, especially during the day of Love, February 14th. In my quest for love I found another blogger who is involved in a ministry with girls that have been in different types of abusive situations in the country of Brazil. The Day  of Love isn't until June so you have until April 1 to send a card, handmade, store bought, it does not matter. I am sharing the address here:

Hope Unlimited for Children

P. O. Box 100

Jefferson City, TN  37760

But you can stop by the blog yourself and check this story out here. I am always anxious to help. It is just in my nature. I have had many wonderful opportunities here to to meet people going through difficult life journeys and I encourage you to stop by and read the story behind this.

Life is difficult so please join me in this simple endeavor to brighten a young girls day. It speaks volumes of the kindness all of us have to share. Thank you.

Now for my "M" post. I am in the mood for Love so I will share a simple and sweet Love is... with each one of you. Many have heard me say this before but I use to cut these little cartoons out of the "funny papers" in the daily news and give them to my hubby. He has all of them. I use to cut them out and glue them onto construction paper scraps.  It bring both of us great big smiles even today, all these years later. Love never changes. It is a constant.

So here goes my "Moon" post: My Love is.. shows that you two can outshine the stars but you can also enjoy a quiet moment under a hanging paper moon. I love the moon, I like to see it hanging low in the sky shining like a huge bright silver coin. I love when it is a small sliver like a tiny slice of cake. I enjoy seeing it when it is a half moon glimmering in the night sky lighting our path. The moon is one incredible  Did you know that the moon is the Earth's only natural satellite? It has been gracing the skies for many, many centuries.  It's gravitational influence produces the oceans tides and slight lengthening of the day.During an eclipse of the moon, you will notice a reddish tint on it. It appears in various fashion across the skies and it is a sight I never tire of seeing. There are so many influences in our world that are resulting from the moon.  One a simple note one of my favorite childhood books that I read to my own children is called "Goodnight Moon".

I hope you have enjoyed my little presentation of the moon.  My sister tells me that her little great grandgirl Ari will look into the sky at night and blow kisses while saying "Goodnight Moon"! She loves the moon too!

I hope you will visit Ms. Jenny and all the other participates of Alphabe Thursday. It is a good place to be.

Love is.../Blue Monday/Alphabe Thursday Too!

Nothing more needs to be said!
Oh so now you know the baby's sex! LOL! At the gender reveal party yesterday for my grandson Andrew and his beautiful Tarrah,  they revealed their new baby, due in June will be a boy! Jayden was pulling for a sister. He says she needed to be Wonder Woman! Alas, he loves Captain America and maybe his new brother, if he is blonde and blue eyed like Jayden, can be Thor! That is Drazah, their niece who lives with them also.

The party was wonderful, hosted by Tarrah's dad Scott. He did a nice job setting everything up and sharing some amazing dishes with everyone. Lots of pink and blue plates, cups, punch and silverware. My photos were not loading so I had to borrow a few from my daughter Noelle.
There were three boxes wrapped with balloons. Here come the blue ones!

More food! There was pink punch and blue punch and rock candy in blue and pink! Everyone wore a tiny clothespin in pink or blue, choosing the color they thought the baby would be! Thah's Tarrah's mom in the background.

The two little ones did a nice job decorating Tarrah's plain white t shirt.

The weather was gorgeous and we enjoyed the day. I hope Sally and the Blue Crew enjoy these blues today!
My silly Noelle brought a gift! The happy momma and daddy!

I figured Ms. Jenny would appreciate me showing up to class to celebrate the letter "L". I choose love because February is the month of Love!

Pink Saturday

I took this shot this morning around seven a.m. The sky is tinted with a pretty pink pallet. I thought Beverly and the Pinkies would enjoy this addition to Pink Saturday.

A day does not go by that I don't admire God's handiwork. To have such a talent is truly amazing and His handiwork never ceases to amaze me. Particularly when I am having a difficult day.

New American Standard Bible
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

We are His handiwork and we must always remember to trust Him and although His handiwork is beautiful His guarantee for our future is greater.

Enjoy a beautiful Pink Saturday!

A sweet Love is...to share because one thing we do together is count our blessings!
I missed Love is....Monday along with Blue Monday. I was very blue because I had been rooting for the Seahawk's! Sigh! Even reminiscing about my Jim Zorn jersey from days long, long ago!  I chuckle because today so many of these "so called" true blue fans know nothing about their teams from days past.
I loved Jim Zorn, he was an awesome, charismatic guy who threw left handed! Ahh......now you know my story and my love for Zorn and those Seahawk's. They have always been kind of underdogs and today they have lots of fierce and outspoken players. It amazes me because when this happens elsewhere no one cares but because it is the Seahawk's there is plenty of commotion! I hate politics and I think the NFL commish and the owner of the Patriots are too tight! A personal opinion and now I am done! Remember this is a girl who watched her beloved Bronco's get crushed by the Seahawks' in the 2014 Super Bowl . I can forgive and forget.

I hope you stopped by Sally's and joined all the blues on Monday. She is an awesome hostess always keeping everyone on track and always commenting at each and every blog that posts. This photo shows our beautiful blue Colorado skies. Unfortunately today, they are white and the snow is silently falling down.
A final "Monday morning" thought on a very cold and snowy Wednesday morning. I hope you will join me and share your own thoughts on the random quiz.

Happy Pink Saturday

February is always pretty in pink (and red too!). We celebrate Valentine's Day and enjoy an extra sweet treat. These cute ballerina pink marshmallows are precious and if you link back to thewhoot  to get all the glorious details on making these! Then hop over to Beverly's and say hello to our pretty "pink" hostess and all the other pinkies who participate. Each week you will be dazzled by great ideas, pastel pinks, shocking brights and everything else in between at Pink Saturday. Have a great day and enjoy it!

Just a Saturday reminder that Nick and his team mates run at  the Concordia Classic today. Nick will run in the 3k at 6 P.M. tonight (CST)  They traveled to Seward, Nebraska for this race. The only picture I have of their team in pink is from the October Breast Cancer Awareness campaign.  I wanted to share this cool Nike pink  today. Pray for safe travels coming and going and also great race times.

Love is.../Blue Monday

This Love is...is us today! I am late posting because we have been running since we rolled out of bed. Jeremy needed to get to the airport, check that off our list. Waiting to hear that he is safe in Indy. He is anxious to try out his deflate jokes with them! A gal he knows there told him a bakery put deflated footballs on their cupcakes! HaHaHa! We have cleaned out one fridge and freezer. Whew. On to the second one. Floors sparkling because we finally had a chance to mop. They look good and smell better, nice orange cent wafting through the air.
Now these are exciting photos. This is in the break room at my honey's work. The did a total remodel and they have a beautiful break area. They love to recycle. So do I!
A building from the window. It is really beautiful because his area is surrounded by windows. The sky appears to be a pale shade of blue.
His floor is done with lots of orange. I guess they know most of the Bronco fans work here!
A soda cooler for the fans of sugary sweet treats! The Pepsi logo and some of their cans are blue too.
More recycle stuff in blue.
This blue is part of a life saver! They have medical equipment in their break area too, which if I am not mistaking, is the law in businesses today.
Leaving the office after Saturday mail. What a day! Hubby has on his blue jeans and his bag is lime green and aqua blue!
Leaving the office we saw this blue information house, which has apartment and housing info in it for free.

Stop by Sally's and visit all the blues today! Jeremy arrived safely in Indy!

Here is a football   Tom Brady used  and here are some deflated cupcakes! Enjoy boys!
