Feline Friday and Fun

Mr. Kitty was a storm watcher Wednesday! But the storm passed over us except for some snow and cold. So he decided to nap. I am late posting with Feline Friday but had to visit Sandee and Brian and everyone sharing their favorite feline.
Pink tea cup and saucer with pretty colorful teacup and saucers and a beautiful pink rose. I love all things tea related and am sharing with Pink Saturday
This google image is interesting. If you live in Utah, they say you will know what a Swig Sugar Cookie is. I found several recipes to vouch for this yummy looking cookie and it is frosted in pretty pink frosting. The cookie is soft and delicious and is known for signature rough edge. I love learning something new everyday.
Maxine has an opinion on cookies too! She loves 'em!

This is such a tiny photo but I found it while searching ancestry and it is my grandfather's mother and three sisters. My mother was only 13 years old when she lost her father. All these women were so strong. The youngest sister Theresa lived in Ohio but Francesca and Margaret were in Colorado. Mrs. M as I knew her, was my mother's aunt and she lived in Colorado Springs and raised a large phamily too. Margaret had two daughters, one who was a nurse and the other a county judge in Teller County. It was interesting because my husband had a newsletter from the office where he works, with attorneys and my mom's cousin, "the Judge" was featured in it. I enjoyed learning a little more about her even though I knew her when I was a child. In this photo Theresa is seated next to her mother but I am not sure which of the two older sisters were Margaret and Francesca. I sure love learning more about my phamily.
Forgiveness is something the world needs today. So much discord . Just because you think differently doesn't mean you should hate the person who thinks differently. We all have opinions but those opinions won't change anything. Actions will change and love always leads the way.
Today in the grocery store, a lady who usually stands around helping customers with questions and sometime is not the friendliest person. But today the one cashier was headed to her break so she took over cashiering. As she checked me out, she asked if I found everything ok. Than two older women approached her and they started to chat for a moment. The one lady hugged her and than came around and hugged me too, because I had to wait on their quick chat. I was smiling from ear to ear. What a thoughtful person. I knew the other lady must have been the cashier's mom. I was smiling that she is so blessed to have her mom and a good friend to stop in to say hello. Kindness, no matter how small, can brighten an otherwise drab day.
Oh how I love the innocence of Phamily Circus. Out of the mouth of babes, as they say!
Those years fly by so quickly.

Aw....Mondays and More Fun

I have to catch these two lil ones when they are up and being playful. He is so much bigger than his sister. I Missed Aw...Mondays but adding it into my Happy Tuesday and my addition of Tuesday Show and Tail. Missing Angela as our host. She is a busy lady  but I love this so I will triple the fun!
Jeremy shared this cute lil Brody bunny with me recently. He is such a sweet boy. Love those ears! Harrison would never wear those ears and now he thinks he is a real celebrity shooing me away saying "No photos, no photos". This handsome fellow is more flexible.
I think if I had a huge home, I would add a pool room. I loved playing pool when I was younger. Love is....has all the right moves and they are right on cue!
Snoopy is always cool. I love this timeless comic.
I believe this and always think of Annie at McGruffy's Reader when I post something positive.
The Golden Rule. Live it!

Grateful Heart and Pink Saturday

I have a grateful heart. I am never going to stop trusting God, leaning on Jesus and praying hard and than harder. This past month I had a scare. I had my annual mammogram. They needed more info. I started contacting everyone I could think of who had to deal with this dreadful disease. AA few people truly scared me but people like my LuLa friend Cheri Burrell and sweetheart friend Angela Vickers set me on the right path.
I am my father's daughter. Today is the 34th anniversary of his passing. Lots of things weighing heavily on my mind. He was a true believer but he was caution and he was a worrier. He always took such care of our phamily. He loved my mother the way I had hoped I would be loved by a husband one day. God is good, he gave me the very best faithful parents and a hubby to match!
My hubby puts up with me and his teeny tiny closet space. He knows I love clothes and shoes. Handbags too, and uh um jewelry. Hee Hee Hee! I treats me so beautifully and he let's me have my way more than he probably should! But he is kind, like my dad. He is logical, like dad was. He is a faith provider to his phamily, just like my dad. I feel very famous, because God blessed, just like my mother told me he would. As long as I was faithful to God, loved Jesus and remembered to have a grateful heart. She would say, live and let God. But I took the bumpy road, like dad. Always concerned over this or that or the other,
I have learned nothing goes right without God. Absolutely nothing! Believe me, when I was younger, I tried it. I didn't like it!
So here is a toast, whether it is cranberry juice or pink champagne. This for each and every single person who prayed for me during my difficult moments. People like Diana and Myra  Sandee and Brian. Everyone of you, each person that was so thoughtful to stop here and comment and pray. It means so very much to me.
Our grandgirl Addy loves unicorns. She has a birthday coming up shortly. I Love unicorns and sparkle too. So this is also for all of you prayer warriors. Thank you, and Addy too!
Oh Maxine, you are a real character.  But make sure you are doing these yearly exams. every woman needs them and it is so vital to your good health. When the doctor gave me the great news, I wanted to jump for joy! A little hard to do with that snazzy white robe they give you and of course, being topless on that ultrasound table! Grateful to them for allowing my sweet hubby to be there with me. Please stop by Pink Saturday and share some pink goodness.

A favorite photo of my dad from 1983. Missing you today and every day.
Dad from his baseball days. He was such an amazing man.
The wedding day of my folks. Miss them so very much.

BASEBALL IS BACK

Even Love is...loves baseball! It is good to see baseball back! Our Colorado Rockies don't look too bad! First game, opening season, in Florida with the Marlins was Thursday, March 28th. They won it! They won the second game as well. But the other two games, not so great. Oh well, lots more to play.
Wouldn't be baseball season without sharing my dad. He was so young and handsome in his baseball uniform. I would love to sit down and share a game with him today.
I love going to the ballpark. But as a child, we walked to the Runyon Field ball park from my grandmothers home just a quick walk across the road.
Runyon Field looks different from my childhood. The fence around it was different and when Uncle Louie was busy with a project he would send us to Runyon Field and tell us to find baseballs that went out of the complex. He'd give us money when we collected those baseballs but he also let us keep them. We loved playing baseball in those days.Things have changed at Runyon Field but my love of baseball has not.
I have talked about my dad catching behind the plate when the great Bambino, the Sultan of Swat, the Babe was up to bat. After some research I found out the year was 1938. My dad was in his 20's. This is a google image of the Babe. He sure looks different from the bulked up players of today and he did not make the type of money these players demand today. Very few could play in the days of greats like the Babe, Ted Williams, Joe DiMaggio and even Pete Rose and Dave Winfield.  I know Rich "Goose" Gossage would say most pitchers could not keep up with the likes of guys like like Ron Guidry, Noland Ryan  and Catfish Hunter.
I love this verse and really am standing on it today.
Another great : Harmon Killebrew. This is my second favorite baseball quote.
Joltin Joe DiMaggio, The Yankee Clipper. First class human being, excellent gentleman. First rate ball player who was blessed not only to play in the majors but had two brothers who also played.

This quote is one I think about all winter long. I am glad baseball is back. Hope the days will  be filled with sunshine and blue skies.

 Welcome back Rockies.
Maxine always has something to say on every subject. She is very naughty today!

Please visit Feline Friday Mr. Cat is loving baseball today. what's not to love? The Rockie's open their home season today at 2:10 P.M. (DST).
I hope your day is blessed and beautiful.

Tuesday Show and Tail and Happy Tuesday

The puppies are 3 weeks old . Brother is always hogging the camera while his older sister is camera shy. They do not have names yet but hopefully we will be working on that before their 8 week check up with the vet. I like to share this Tuesday Show and Tail from the times when  Angela hosted it.
I like sharing some humor too. This one is great! I feel like I dust and it reappears before I am finished. Hmmm....Visit Happy Tuesday
HA HA HA! This would be me! I have said it before, but my Uncle Tom always said, my idea of camping is a five star hotel with room service.
Maxine always has a strong opinion!
