FATHER'S DAY TRIBUTES

What is there to say about the greatest dad a girl could ever have? My dad was the kindest person I ever knew. He loved my mother, his children and his phamily. He was quiet, kind, humble and faithful to his maker.
My dad was amazing. He knew everything about baseball. He had the most beautiful handwriting and he read his bible. I know this because he constantly told me things I know he read in his bible. "He didn't tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it. " Clarence Budington Kelland
I miss my dad and my mom too. The worst feeling ever, being an orphan.
Best parents ever!

Photo shares of amazing men I love and those they love best.

Happy Father's Day

Tomorrow we will wish all the father's everywhere a Happy Father's Day. I tip my hat to fathers. I know many who stepped it up and raised their kids when there was not a mother in the picture. I often feel discouraged when I see TV ads, commercials and even programming "dogging" men and especially fathers. As an early tribute, here is something for our oldest son Jeremy and his mini me.
These two are like each other. It is fun to see our son be an amazing father to his little boy. Come September, another boy will grace their little phamily making Addy the big sister times two and Brody a big brother.
Go Denver Nuggets! These two love their sports. You know the expression, like father like son? Well here it is.
One of my favorite all time quotes by an all time favorite ball player I learned so much about from my own father.
Having dinner out. These two make me smile.
Wise words when raising children.
Dad and son. This boy has the best smile. He is his fathers son.
My parents taught me. I taught my children. I do know my son is teaching his son.
Getting ready to roll. This boy loves to chatter away in his car seat. He is such a character. Did I mention his father is a character too?
Happy Father's Day to Jeremy. You make us so very proud because you are an excellenct father to your children.
From the beginning Addy was important to Jeremy. It was quite evident at the wedding of Brittany and Jeremy. A dance for the little lady who once told her mom, if you ever divorce Jeremy, I'm going to live with him. Because he knows how to bring the very best out of kids and people in general. He is a kind heart. We need more kind hearts in our world.

Feline Friday with Fun and Pink Goodness

Two cats are better than one when it's bath time! Say hello to Feline Friday
This applies to toddlers too!
I wish this was a photo I took but google images are beautiful too. Pastel Pink is perfect for Pink Saturday
Perfectly pink clouds floating by. Thanks google images.
Oh laundry, seven days a week! But I do it cheerfully. I just wonder, is someone recycling my clean laundry back into the dirty laundry hamper? Hmmmm........
A verse I need to hang in my laundry room.
Nathan Solano a local Pueblo artist recreated this baseball photo. Uncle Moon, dad's older brother is on the far right. Dad is the third guy from his brother. I see his catchers mitt.
I hope your weekend is glorious.

THANKFUL THURSDAY

This was so darn cute I had to share it! Thankful for snack holes in her coat. How do kids come up with these things,
I have had some difficult days but today I am truly grateful. Thankful, Happy, Blessed.Thankful Thursday is a great place to get some encouragement. Visit Brian today.

Simple pleasures and Snoopy. The world would benefit from the knowledge Snoopy would share.
Isn't that the truth? At least it is at my house. But in all seriousness, when our children were small I took great delight in doing laundry.  It gave me quiet time with God and I learned to talk with Him while I sorted, washed and folded laundry. I have never changed. I still love doing laundry and probably always will. God always knows I am going to chat with Him while the chores get done and this verse gave me comfort knowing God loves me regardless of how minimal or how important my job is.
Thinking of all my loved ones who have gone before us. Grateful and thankful for any and all photos I have.
Ambrose was our boarder. My mother took care of him. He was a bachelor from the "old country". He is the shorter gentleman. He lived in a little house behind our house when I was a kid. It had a bedroom/living area and full bathroom. When he became very ill he went into assisted living. I am going to research him along with my own ancestors and see what I can find. I like to visit his grave when I go home. The cemetery gives me comfort simply because I am thankful all these wonderful people were once part of my earthly life.
I am guessing my older brother Bill (left) and late cousin Ronnie had graduated. This photo was in Ronnie's yard. Years later, the house was moved or torn away to make way for a gas station which I am not certain is there any longer either. The highway ran directly behind it. My brother tells me he better not see himself on FaceBook. Technically this is my private blog so I don't think FB can infringe on my rights over here. These two fellows were both teachers.
I always thought the boy with the belt was my father. Now I am unsure. He had two older brothers. One passed away at age 3,  The other one too soon also when he was a married man with a beautiful phamily. I wish the names were written on the back of this photo. But I do know my auntie Mima is the tall girl and auntie Gela the small girl. I am learning so much about my grandparents. My grandmother spent most of her life in poor health. My grandfather was a "modern man" as he cared for her until she passed away three years before his own passing. I adored my grandfather. He was kind just like my own father. Missing all of them today. Hoping to share more tomorrow.

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

I am not very cooperative with wordless days.  BUt you can visit Sandee just the same. Today was a very bad day. But that is for another time and place. This meme made me smile when I first came over to pinterest several years ago. This is our middle. It really is not a photo of her but the wording here fits her to a "T"!

This bundle of joy entered our lives on June 13th. She was a very indecisive baby girl! Eventually at 3 A.M. she debuted. she is her father's daughter. They are two peas in a pod,
Rebekah loves her phamily. She loves all the furry babies. She is a one-of-a-kind. We want to keep her. She is smart and kind and caring, especially to these fur babies.
This girl is something else. She loves her heroes from the Marvel Comic series.

Can you tell she loves the love of her life Zach?
