Aw....Mondays and Much Much More

Smokey wants to go to Hawaii. HaHaHa! Rebekah entertains him while the Jeremy Robinson's are recuperating at the hospital with the new baby and momma. She surrounded him with all her Hawaii memorabilia. He poses so nicely doesn't he? We do not know how much time he has left so when he visits we give him the royal treatment. Stop by and say hi to Sandee and all those participates of Aw...Mondays.

Smokey was born on the 4th of July! He is a true American patriot.
HAPPY LABOR DAY

Labor Day weekend is here. Hoping everyone has a safe weekend. Monday is a time to celebrate the American worker. We plan to work in our yard until the brutal heat hits and enjoy some phamily time before the hubby heads back to work on Tuesday.
When the ways of the world start to make me sad, I like to remember these words.
My doctor has been particularlymoody with  me on my last few visits. Instead of looking over the fact that my dentist could not do a procedure stating I was registering  with high blood pressure. He simply berated me for not wanting to lose an ounce! They push all the plant based foods and that is fine when you are young. But I doubt they ever read the labeling on some of the plant based foods replacing beef. 400 MG of sodium is not my idea of a healthful meal. Do your research before you fall for doctors and their love of  removing anything that makes you happy from your diet. I won't get political but don't believe everything they tell you.  Do you know that doctors receive kick backs for prescribing the hundreds of Big Pharm medications they want you do take? Why is our country so obsessed with popping pills?  If we can't pop a pill we want a "label". My acupuncturist has a five year old son. He has never taken any medication in his lifetime. He is a perfect example of good health without  prescribed medications that have horrible side effects. Ranting is over.
The hubby in the middle of his younger (left) brother John and older brother (right) Mike. This was taken in the 1980's. We will travel to Holly and Lamar to spread Mike's ashes at their grandparents old farm. My sister-in-law is collecting photos of their brother Mike to make a video. It will be a nice time to be with phamily but I am dreading the dry heat. It will be ninety-seven degrees here tomorrow.  I am ready for Fall to appear. I see trees shedding their leaves. I am hopeful it is a sign.

I took these on our way home from Las Palmas tonight. The sky was incredible and kept changing at every corner we turned on.

This one is perfect for my hubby and me!

WE HAVE A BABY BOY

So at long last we have a tiny new baby. He looks bigger in the photos but he is so small and so very sweet. Tiny boy Blake, he is a sweetheart. He arrived late in the evening on August 30. We sure enjoyed meeting him today.
This sweet google image is available or it was on etsy. Whoever the author is, this is very sweet.
I wish I had the talent to create sweet booties like these.
Do you recall the nursery rhyme Lil Boy Blue? Love this vintage image.
In the sheltered simplicity of the first days after a baby is born , one sees again the magical closed circle, the miraculous sense of two people existing only for each other, the tranquil sky reflected on the face of the mother nursing her child. ~Anne Morrow Lindbergh , Gift from the Sea,Chapter IV: Double Sunrise

Thankful Day:
I am joining Kristi for Thankful Day. Here are ten things I am thankful for:

I was shopping in Target one and found this canvas. It had to come home with me. It hangs in our living room and reminds me every day to be grateful and thankful.
We have had so much sadness in August it was nice to wind down the month with new baby boy Blake. Here is something for me to be thankful for, brotherly love. Brody loves his new brother .
Logan just does his own thing. Like doctors saying he could have one bottle everyday. Well, this boy said heck no, I want two. Maybe I will have more. He is topping five pounds and we are all thankful!
Logan is just being Logan! He is such a unique little fellow. That face is extra thankfulness for me.
Thankful for Finn and his funny little self! He is larger than his daddy, weighing in at eleven and one half pounds. The bully Mr. Kitty was bothering him yesterday so he took refuge with me and took a nap! Boy was that fat cat mad!
Laughter really is the best medicine and it is something to be thankful for! Laugh more and stress less! You will be thankful too.
I was a tiny tot when my big sister Pat married in 1956. She has been gone since 2001 but I am thankful everyday that she was my sister. Kind and humble, beautiful and faithful, she was truly one of a kind. her wedding anniversary would have been August 18th and with all the stress of August I wasn't able to post. My sis is enjoying heaven but she will never be forgotten in my heart.

I am thankful for simply things. Like ice cubes to cool you off on a hot summer day.Our ice cube maker was out of commission for a long time. Our son-in-law Zach ordered the part and replaced it. Thankfulness.

I love pretty flowers and I love bees. Thankful for both although without bees we would cease to exist.

You need to be thankful for the life you were given. I am thankful that as I grow older I live life my way not on the terms of what is popular or what others may like.
I love peach tea and in Colorado during the month of August you can find some tasty peaches. Thankful for these simple pleasures. what are you thankful for ?

Feline Friday and Pink Saturday

My boy Boots was the most amazing feline friend you could find, He always stayed close to me when I suffered with debilitating migraines. He never left me. I wonder if he was an angel sent to me in feline form. I miss him so very much. He was a true one of a kind. Stop by Feline Friday and join the fun.
Waiting, waiting, waiting. I suppose if he wanted to debate pink and blue colors the new Robinson baby boy could care less. He is simply biding his time. No rush to be born. I am certain he is the younger sibling of Brody. That boy debated his coming into this world for a while too. We just all want to see the new little fellow. Hurry baby hurry.
While he is deciding the date of his birth you can visit Anything Goes Pink Saturday

Oh this made me laugh and someday's, trust me, laughter has not come easy to me. This is something Loretta would share and I guessing I better share it with her.
A boy who likes to be with guy he calls DaDa! Aw....there is my Goo Goo doll but he has disappeared from my house. Hmmmmm........
Always praying and thinking this is better than life here as we know it.
Today is the date my folks would celebrate their wedding anniversary. Missing my mom and dad but knowing there is something better in store.
This verse was written on my parents marriage certificate.

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

Yep it is HUMP DAY!
Hanging Lake in Glenwood Canyon. My how times have changed. We get to pay to visit this natural beauty. Welcome to Wordless Wednesday where you know I always have too many words.
God's natural wonders are all around us.
I often think of Job and wonder how he managed to stay true to God even in his darkest hours. What an incredible person he must have been, I often hear people ask the question,if you could sit and talk with anyone dead or alive who would it be? So many choose celebrities. Aside from my loved ones gone ahead of me, I have a list and it consists of biblical people like John the Baptist, Job, Ruth, Paul, David, Hannah, Rachel, Samuel....my list is quite lengthy. But if you asked me about dancing in heaven, well, I have to say Jesus would be my number one choice. Than I would search for Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly. My mom adored Gene Kelly. They are two very famous dancers but they came from the Greatest Generation so they are on my list too.
This was a little humor I wanted to share. This crazy grandparent is waiting for Baby Boy R. to be born. Brody is getting ready to be a big brother and Addy a big sister. She is getting darn good at this job.
This soon to be big brother says Call me! This child is so animated. He is a first class boy. Trust me, he knows how to use that phone along with TV remotes and other tech devices.
These verses are favorites of mine.

Tuesday Show and Tail with Happy Tuesday

A finicky feline  to remind you that cats really do not care what we think! A Tuesday Show and Tail share.
Had to share this sweetness for Happy Tuesday
Happiness exists, in living. Lots of life lessons are learned. We go through so many emotions but we learn an enormous amount of information that helps us sort through those emotions . In the end we realize, it was worth all the sadness, happiness, pain and frustration.  It is a good thing to live. Life would be dull if we just existed.

Do you ever daydream of escaping work? No matter if you are in the workplace or retired, self employed. Whatever you situation is, Maxine has a point. Keep hitting that escape button.
Today Noelle and Roger celebrate nineteen years of marriage. We are so happy for them and also very proud that they are celebrating! Nineteen years have seen many joys and some sorrow but they keep keeping on. Love you both very much! Happy Anniversary.
"I love being married. It's so great to find that one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life." Rita Rudner  This quote is a good one, it applies to most happy marriages!
I know that marriage is a legal and religious alliance entered into by a man who can't sleep with the window shut and a woman who can't sleep with the window opened.  Ogden Nash " A Definition of Marriage", 1948.
Chains do not hold a marriage together. It is threads, hundreds of tiny threads which sew people together through the years.  - Simone Signoret
A man's wife has more power over him than the state has. Ralph Waldo Emerson, Journals
Enjoy many more anniversary celebrations.
This is good solid advice for keeping your marriage healthy and happy.
